EPISODE 4 [MY LORD]

Just then in Arlo's mind, king started speaking.

"Aahhh, it sounds so sweet when he refers to her as his Luna. It is like music to my ears." King said.

"Just stop talking. You were resting at the back of my head, a few minutes back. So why are you paying attention to my conversations?" Arlo said irritated.

"I am you and you are me. We are one. So, I have not much of a choice. Plus, I also wanted to know what exactly happened that led to her being in this condition And you should stop being such a prick towards her. She is our mate. Remember that!!" King said sternly.

"what worries me is how did anyone get to know about my mate before I did?" Arlo said confused.

"There is no way unless by magic." King snorted.

"Or sorcery." Arlo stopped for a while thinking hard. "We need to find out who has been tracking her and why as early as we can before any more damage is done to her." Arlo said.

"Also don't inform anyone about it, because, If sorcery is involved, it can take control over your trusted members as well." King said.

Arlo was snapped into reality when he heard Blyke speak.

"I think you are talking to King." Blyke said.

"Yeah. He is more than happy to find about her and glad that she is safe." Arlo replied with a smile.

"I can understand. We have that rogue in the torture chamber. It will take some time for him to regain consciousness. I know you wouldn't want me to beat him to death, so I'll wait till you finish your questioning with him." He said and bowed.

"Stop bowing that much. I already told you not to bow infront of me." Arlo sighed.

"Yes, my Lord."

"Good job. I'll go check on him, while you take your Luna to the care chamber after she eats. She needs to rest for her to recover fast." Arlo said.

"And yes, before I forget, that rogue also had some kind of herbs in his paws." Blyke said.

"Herbs? What kind? Where is it?" Arlo asked impatiently.

"I've got it with me."

"Alright. Let the doctor see to it. Or even better, let the witch doctor check on those herbs. She will be able to tell the exact reason why the herb was present with him. In fact, let her check on your Luna. Once the pack doctor is done checking on her. She can tell if there was anything used on her before the attack as well."

"Those herbs were definitely meant to do something to My Luna."

"Yeah. But the question here is, what? And that, only she will be able to answer."

ARLO

This is one major reason I didn't want a human mate. Always in danger.

Since Arlo knew that she was actually awake, he mind-linked Blyke to not disclose to her about them being wolves. And he also told him to get her for dinner. He then took one last look at her acting form and smiled to himself.

Blyke then turned to look at her, who was still acting unconscious. She had no clue that they, being wolves, could sense her accelerated heartbeats and know that she is awake.

However, reading minds is something which only Arlo could do. He earned many such extra powers as blessings from the moon goddess.

LEILAH

Why are all the guys so good looking here? Specially the one with golden eyes. hahaha. I'm definitely hallucinating. How can anyone have golden eyes? He must have come to help me and I acted stupid by being like this. It must be the effect of the wolf who attacked me before. Maybe I should just get up and walk to him and-

Just then Blyke approached her. "Miss are you awake?" Blyke asked Leilah.

LEILAH

Such a bad actor Leilah. He caught you. Maybe he saw your eyes half open, when you were staring at the other guy. It's time to stop this right now.

"Yeah. I just woke up. Where are we by the way? And who are you?" I asked him.

BLYKE

Our innocent Luna, trying to act dumb. Isn't that cute?

"You are now safe with us. You are in the King's castle. At the basement. I am Blyke, one of his warriors." I said with a smile.

"What about the rest of my friends?" Leilah asked him.

"They are all safe and have been sent to the dining hall to have some food. You were the only one who passed out. So I came to check up on you. Umm So, do you know who attacked you?" I asked her politely.

"I have no clue. We were carrying on with our normal lives when suddenly that huge group of scary wolves came up running towards us in full-on attack mode. They were definitely not lost or something. They looked like they had come with the sole intention of attack. They chased us and attacked everyone on their way. It was so scary. We ran in different directions in groups, but they didn't scatter after the others, but instead, kept following our group. We never hurt any animal, I don't know why would they come after us. Maybe they thought we'll harm them." Leilah replied looking at her fingers.

BLYKE

Just as I had expected. They were after you, Luna. That's why they followed the group you were in.

"Okay, relax now...we'll take care of that. Would you like to have some food?" I asked her.

"Yes please. Umm?"

"What is it Lu- umm little girl?" I asked her awkward.

"Who was the one who was here before you came around?" She asked.

Luna wants to know about Alpha King. How romantic. I'm sure she can feel some pull towards him.

They then walked back towards the other side of the hall.

"You don't know him? he is the King. He personally came to check on you for injuries." I replied with a smile making her jaw drop.

"What? Oh I'm sorry I didn't know." She quickly bowed.

"No My Lu- ah little girl . Don't bow to me.

It's not a problem Lu...Little girl." I replied panicked.

"I am not a little girl. My name is Leilah. You can call me that. Little girl sounds so weird."

I stood there frozen. How an I supposed to call her by her name. MY wolf won't allow me to call you by your name, but I'll try. I just hope alpha king understands and doesn't take my head for calling you by your name, my Luna.

Just then Arlo mind linked me.

"Do what she wants. Call her by her name if that makes her happy. I understand your position, and won't take your head for it, but I will if she gets upset. Human or not, she is my mate and your Luna. I am watching her."Arlo said.

I sighed and said, " Alright, Le-Leilah."

" Yeah that's more like it. I am really hungry. Shall we go?" Leilah said smiling.

"Yes, my lu- litt- umm Leilah." I stammered.

"Hahaha My name isn't that difficult."

"It's definitely not. I'm sorry, it's just a habit."

She smiled at me somewhere feeling safe. She got the brotherly feeling from him and he felt her feelings radiating through her aura. He felt blessed that his Luna thinks of him as a brother.

Arlo quickly mind linked me and spoke.

"Well done, my beta. She got brotherly feelings for you. You will be rewarded with extra time allowed to spend with your mate."

I smiled widely and spoke through mind link. "Thank you Alpha king, Jungkook." I thought as I was smiling widely showing my teeths.

I then turned around to see my Luna looking at me with a strange facial expression.

"What are you smiling so widely for all by yourself? Something funny?"

"Nothing lu- Leilah. let's go have dinner. Suddenly I am very hungry." I said screeching the back of my neck.

"So you smile wide when you get more hungry?" She asked no believing him.

"I guess." I laughed awkwardly.

"Haha. You're funny."

Both of them then walked to the dining hall to help themselves eat.

[At the Dining Hall]

Leilah saw that her friends were there. many elders were also taken care of. They were made to sit on comfortable chairs, while the younger ones were given normal chairs And a big buffet was served for everyone to choose and eat what they want. She was more than shocked at the hospitality. She knew that the king is a generous man, but didn't know that he would go to this extent.

She felt happy looking at her people ravishing on the delicious food. All the running had made them hungry for sure.

A voice from behind her made her snap out of her thoughts.

"You can eat it instead of staring."
