EPISODE 5

"You can eat it instead of staring."

She turned around to see the owner of the voice and was shocked at the sight in front of her. A guy was smiling in herr way showing his perfectly sculpted face.

LEILAH

I whispered to myself, "Another handsome man? How are all the guys There, so freaking handsome? This one is super cute as well. what a pretty smile he has. May be if I eat the food from here, even I would turn beautiful. I really feel hungry more now.

"You really look hungry." He said smiling.

'Dang!! Did I say that out loud? I thought I was thinking.' I said to myself while holding my mouth.

Just then he saw my eyes widening in embarrassment, and so he spoke again.

"You were slowly speaking to yourself, but I heard it. Haha, by the way, I am Rao." He said smiling.

"Oh, Pleasure meeting you, Rao and I'm Leilah." I replied softly.

"It was pleasure indeed." He laughed.

"Umm you definitely didn't hear everything that I said right?" I asked wishing he would say yes.

"I definitely heard every word you said but I'll act like I didn't. so relax." He winked and smiled at me again.

"Oh...haha. that was because, to be honest, whoever I've met here, are like one better than the other. I was just thinking what do you guys eat to get that kind of looks.

Flawless skin, beautiful smile, dreamy eyes." I said remembering the king , Blyke and now him.

"I can assure you that you are very beautiful. But you need to eat so you can keep it up. It's not even 4 hours that we found you in the woods and you already look like you have been starving for days." He said worriedly.

"All that running sure made me hungry. By the way Where did Blyke go?" I asked him as I didn't see him here.

"He went to inform King about everyone having food. Our king likes to see his people happy and content."

"And what happened to those wolves which attacked us?" I asked worriedly as I didn't want them to attack us again.

"For now we have them in our cages. We'll wait for our King's orders on what to do with them next." He explained.

"Oh King. I had just seen King once, that too for a bit, when he had come to check on me, but didn't get to talk to him. I'm not sure, if he talks to his people."

"I bet he would love to talk to you." He smiled.

'Damn he has a cute smile.' I thought.

"I guess king is a lady charmer. I better stay away from him then." I said awkwardly.

Noticing the change in my facial expressions, he spoke again.

"You were the one who were attacked by that wolf, so he would love to check on your health by himself. He doesn't like it when any of his people are hurt or are in pain."

"His people?" I asked confused.

"May be earlier you were not a part of his territory, but the moment you set foot on his grounds, you became a part of his people and he needs everyone to be safe and happy." He said looking through my eyes. Then I realized his eyes are so beautiful. Hazel eyes.

"Oh, I get it. Can I get an appointment to see him?"

" What? Appointment?" He asked not getting what I was trying to say.

"Like how does it work here? How do I get to meet the king?" I said explaining him.

"You can meet him anytime when he is at the rounds."

"Rounds?" I asked frowning. What does he mean by rounds?

"He takes round in the morning and late evenings every day to check the working of the palace. That is when he saw you yesterday, when he was at his rounds. You can see him tomorrow morning." He explained.

"Okay. That's good. I can thanks him personally."

"Yes. Sure."

After she finished with her dinner and bid goodbyes to everyone, Rao escorted her to a room.

"What's this place?" Leilah asked watching around the room.

"king wanted you to see the doctor to check on your health. This is his check-up c*m waiting room. He will check on you and decide if you need to be taken to the care beds in the care chamber."

"Care beds? Care chamber? What does it mean?" She asked getting confused.

"We have a chamber where the injured are cared for and revitalised. We call it the care chamber and so the beds there are called, care beds."

"Ohh like a hospital. So, what about the others?"

"You mean the ones who were with you?"

"Yes. The group with me. They must also be injured."

"Surprisingly, you are the only one injured. The others have slight injuries from fall or scrapping their feet on the ground. You have wolf scratches on you on a couple of places."

"Just me? No one else?"

"Yup. Only you. so you have to see the doctor and he will decide on how you should be treated. He will be here soon."

"Oh, alright."

Just then an elderly man walked in wearing a white coat and a stethoscope around his neck.

"Hello, my dear. how are you feeling?" He asked Leilah.

"I actually don't feel any pain form the scratches right now. just my head is a bit sore." She explained.

"That's because I had applied medicines to your wounds when you were unconscious. I'm glad I did, since you feel better now."

"Yes, thank you." She bowed at him.

He did regular check-up on her and cited that she needn't be taken to the care beds and that she would recover pretty fast. Once she was done speaking to the doctor, Rao showed her the way to her bedroom.
