MATED TO THE WEREWOLF KING

EPISODE 6

Once they were done speaking to the doctor, Rao showed her the way to her bedroom.

"Okay, so this is a room for you to spend the night. You can stay here as long as you want. Or atleast till you guys actually find a shelter elsewhere." Rao said to Leilah who was busy admiring the room.

"Wow. THis is so cool. Does everyone of us get a whole room for ourselves?" Leilah said touching the table.

"I'm not sure about the others, but since you had fainted, you have gotten a room. Plus, you are the only one with injuries and scratches all over. The rest are much better. Anyways, we have kept a few clothes and other necessary stuff, along with the medicines, for you in the closet there. You must rest now. I'll see you in the morning. Call me if you need anything." Rao said smiling.

"Umm. How do I call you? I mean if I need something?"

"There is a phone right to the corner there. You just have to dial 1 on it and I'll be here in seconds. Till then you can use this baseball bat for your safety. Keep it handy while you sleep." He said as he handed Leilah the bat

"Cool. You must be sleepy now. see you. goodnight. And thanks for your help."

"Anytime. goodnight."

Leilah quickly freshened up and changed into the clothes there. She didn't forget to keep the baseball bat which Rao gave her, under the other pillow, put off the bright lights and only kept the dim ones on. Soon enough laid on her bed for sleep to welcome her.

A few minutes later, a shadow lurked near her bed with a slight growl rumbling in its chest.

"No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to stay away from you."

[A few minutes earlier in Arlo's bedroom]

"You need to have a look at her at least once before you go to bed, else doubt you getting any sleep tonight." King snorted inside his head.

"I won't NEED to look at her. She is a human. She won't affect me that much. I can sleep without looking at her." Arlo said rolling his eyes.

"Your wish. But if I feel like, I'll take over you and go to see her." King said smirking.

"You won't do anything like that." Arlo said trying his best not to get angry.

"I will, if needed. I can't understand how can you even think of staying away from our mate. That too when she is this close. Do you even like her, or not? I feel she is perfect. I just don't get it-"

King got cut off by Arlo shouting,"SHE IS A HUMAN!!"

King sighed. "Are you still stuck at that point? Do you not believe in the moon goddess?"

"I trust her blindly."

"Then it should not be a problem for you to accept what she has hand picked for us. I am in love with Leilah already. And once she gets her wolf, I won't hold back. I don't understand what makes it so tough for you to accept your love for her-"

King got cut off again by saying, "I don't love he-"

"I can feel all your feelings, so don't you dare lie to me."

Arlo rolled his eyes and spoke turning the other side. "Good night, king."

"Whatever. Goddamn of an good night you are going to have."

KING

You won't be able to stay away from her for long. I can feel you buddy. Don't act like the tough coconut head that you are.

[Present Time]

'No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to stay away from you. My mate, my beautiful mate.' Arlo thought to himself.

He wanted to spend the night sleeping with Leilah on her bed, beside her watching her time and again. He was feeling very restless. Though she was so close to him, he could not touch her.

All he wanted, was to hold her hand just once. He wanted to get her feel, just a bit.

ARLO

Why can't I just accept you as my mate? If I don't want you, then, why is it so difficult for me to stay away from you? I feel like I want to spend every second of my life with you. even though you are a weakling.

His frustrations made him let out a very low growl.

LEILAH

No matter how hard I try to sleep, I have this uneasy feeling of being watched. I really feel that someone is watching me. I don't know who, but I fear that some animal is near me. I am sure that I heard a low growl. I want to turn around and see who or what it is, but I am scared.

Just then I heard another low growl.

If I have to die by some animal's claws, then I will fight it first. I won't give up on life without a fight. It is better to die fighting, rather than just being killed like a coward. With that, I slowly gripped the baseball bat in my hands and sprang up from my bed like a flash towards the source of the sound. My eyes were not adjusting to the darkness and so I couldn't see properly who or what it was.

Fuck. There is something here but feels like a human.

"What the hell is she doing?" Arlo thought to himself.

She threw him down on the floor with her on top of him, straddling him and were about to hit him with the baseball bat, when he quickly caught hold of her hand over her sleeve. Now, his guard was up and so his eyes changed colour.

That is when she saw it a pair of golden eyes staring back at her. She felt hypnotised by it and couldn't move her hands or legs anymore and in an instant she fell on top of it unconscious.
