“I-I have a place...not here exactly but close by.” I needed to lie my arse off to get out of this mess.
Vic started chuckling as well as Cameron. “She’s lying through her teeth. She’s got no where to go.”
“Yes I do! Why on earth would I want to tell you guys where it’s at? It’s none of your business.”
Ryder gave me a sad look like I betrayed a long lost friend. “Now can you please move so I can leave?” I looked Vic dead in the eyes trying my best not to waiver, and to my surprise he actually did. I headed for the door but not before stopping at the bar and giving the waitress the last few dollars I had. I thanked her for the coffee and continued for the door. Outside sat three motorcycles sitting on the side walk. I bet my life that those belong to the three goons inside. One of them caught my attention though, it was flat black and had red decals on the sides. As I stepped over to get a closer look I could see the red wolf skulls plastered all over the bike. I started to walk away but bumped into something that felt like a brick wall.
“Whoa, careful there kido.” A big pair of beautiful bronze hands caught me by the shoulder. His voice deep and soulful. I look up to the tall man, his short hair is fluffy and curled into tight spirals swayed with his movements. His voice catching me out of my trance like state. “Are you okay kid?” His ember eyes oozed with care, tempting me back into the trance I just escaped.
“Oh, uhm yeah-yeah I’m fine. Thank you.” I smiled up at him.
He gave me a confused look until his eyes settled on the bike behind me. “Oh. Don’t worry kid, they are all bark. They act like they run the town but the demon king has put them in their places quite a few times. They are nothing to be scared of these days.”
“Huh? I’m confused.”
“Oh, sh*t are you human? Sorry, that probably sounded like I belong in an asylum to you.” He gave a deep chuckle.
“No, no I’m not human, but I thought those guys were vampires, not demons.” I said in my still very much confused voice. They reeked of blood, demons have a more ashy smell to them like dirt or rock. These guys had a scent of just blood.
“Nope, they are definitely demons. Vampires tend to run the west side of town while demons run around as they please. Wolves tend to stick to the north side, like this side of town. It’s the only place they can travel freely in, without getting attacked because there are more of them here.” He looked around before his eyes landed back on me. “Oh I’m Clayton by the way. You can call me Clay.”
“I’m Blue. It’s nice to meet you.” I gave him a smile and started to walk away.
The pubs doors swung open with a thud. Ryder, Cameron and Vic, came strutting out of the bar, laughing together loudly. I tried to make a quick exit so they wouldn’t notice me but Clay had a firm grip on my shoulder.
“Hey fellas, good to see you again.” Clay said in a cheerful tone.
Ryder immediately looked up to see me and Clay. All of their laughter came to an abrupt stop. Ryders facial expression became serious. “Blue get over here.” The tone of his voice told me he wasn’t playing around. Something was definitely up.
“Oh so you know the kido, do you?” Clay said in the same tone as before.
Ryder looked me in the eyes, his gaze cold and menacing. “Now, Blue.” I tried to move from Clays grip but he just tightened it. I winced from the pain on my shoulder.
“Clay? You’re hurting me.” I said while trying to pry the mans hand off of me. His grip became tighter and tighter, to the point my fingers are going numb. “Clay, please.”
He looked down at me and smiled. He grabbed my wrist and held onto it. A yelp escaped my lips. “Sorry Blue, but I can’t just let you go to them.” Fangs began to protrude in his mouth. “They don’t deserve to have such a pretty girl like you. Come with me and I’ll make your pathetic life better.” He smiled wide showing his fangs.
My eyes widened, “you’re a vampire?” My wrist felt like it was breaking under his grip, and cold chills ran down my spine.
He stared at me for what felt like hours, but I’m sure it was only seconds. “Clay, you need to let her go.” Ryder stated in a dark tone. I looked over at them. Their wings were out along with claws and fangs. They were prepared to fight. I can’t just sit here and do nothing.
‘Marshall? Noah? I really need you guys right now.’
‘This isn’t my place Blue I’m sorry.’ Noah said in a sad tone.
‘But it is in fact my place.’ Marshall said following with a deep laugh. ‘Blue let go and give me control, I’ll handle this mess.’
Clayton grabbed the back of my hair and pulled my head back. Tears began pouring out of my eyes. As I tried to give up control to Marshall, Ryder and the others raced towards us. I felt a bone shattering crack come from my back, then searing pain. I screamed from the intense heat that was coming from under my skin. My demon wings were regrowing, I cut them off and now they were going to save my life. The men stopped in their tracks and watched the event unfold before them. My black and red wings unfurled behind me, my horns curled to a perfect point under my ears. I could feel myself starting to lose control, my eyes burning like fire. I grabbed Clays hand that was entangled in my hair. I tightened my grip on it until I heard multiple cracks, and Clayton’s scream. He fell to the ground holding his own wrist. "Who the hell are you?" Clayton whined.
Ryder and the others kept their distance from us, their eyes wide with shock. "She's the destined queen." Ryder stated dryly. Clays eyes widened at the new information. I looked at Ryder, his sulking face telling me he was disappointed, but I'm unsure as to of why. I turned my attention back to Clayton, who was still on the ground beside me. I instinctively grabbed the back of his head, without any thought.
'What the hell are you doing Marshall?'
'I'm teaching this naughty little vamp scum a lesson.' Marshall laughed sinisterly.
'We can't let him do that, Blue! You are said to bring peace. If you let Clayton die by Marshall's hands, your own hands, then you will be letting the future down.' Noah pleaded.
‘How do I stop him? What do I do?’
“Blue?” Ryders voice as soft as a whisper came singing through my ears. “Hey, come on, it’s time to let go. He’s not worth it.” He placed his hand on my back, while his other and lightly grasped my hand. “Blue come on let’s get out of here.”

Ryders POV
* * *
The sight of her in her full demon form was a sight I'll never forget. She is beautiful, no, she is a goddess. I couldn’t stop looking at her. My feet started moving on there own, until I was standing right next to her. She looked up at me with her eyes that are as red as a roaring fire.
"Come on Blue lets get out here." I grabbed her hand, her red eyes faded, back to her emerald green ones. Her body went limp as her wings and horns retracted back into her body. I lifted her limp body in my arms, " come on guys lets go."
"We're taking her with us?" Cameron asked in frustration. " we know who she is and we are going to do what... Kidnap her? That seems like the best choice here." he rolled his eyes at me.
"We can't leave her here Cam. " I protested.
“Besides she will make a Fantastic ransom for us." Vic stated in a sinister tone. His smile telling me he was up to no good.
I walked over to my bike, as I got closer I couldn't help but admire my new decals. The red skulls really made it stand out. I sat on my bike and placed Blue in front of me between my legs, “Poor thing is still out cold.” I looked down at the unconscious Blue and smiled, I thought to myself, she is still just as beautiful in human form. I carefully put my helmet on Blues head and adjusted the straps. “All right guys, lets get out of here. "
Vic strolled over to his own motorcycle but not before delivering a swift kick to the side of Clays head. Cam couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, and I'm not going to lie, I laughed a little too. I gave Blues helmet a light tap then started my bike once the engine sprang to life I kicked up my stand and set off. I gave my mirror a quick glance to be sure the other two were following behind. Once I knew they were moving I revved my engine and sped up.
