Melody stepped between them, facing Elon. “It’s my fault. I got caught up in the party. Where did you disappear to? If you expect me to follow then you shouldn’t move so fast. How’s a human meant to keep up with you?” She knew she was babbling, but she didn’t want anything to happen to Brynn.
Elon ignored her, looking past her to Brynn. “Wasn’t toying with one of Dione’s knights enough danger for you?”
