Chapter 4

Lilies pov

When I woke up the cabin was quiet and empty I immediately stood up from the bed a little cautious, my head felt like it was about to spilt into two I stepped outside and couldn’t find a trace of the vampire I don’t think he even told me his name,

Strangely it seemed like my hearing had heightened because I could hear noises of everything happening around me and it was making my headache worse, I really do not know how I got home but the house was empty and I didn’t really think about the fact that my parents weren’t even bothered that I was missing, I went in to my room and just fell on the bed, I fell into a dream less sleep for the first time in a long time.

When I woke up it was already dark again my body was burning up I felt like I was going to be sick I ran into the bathroom and let everything in my stomach out, after throwing up till there was nothing left in me I filled the bathtub with cold water and soaked myself in it, then I started thinking about my encounter with the vampire .

“I can’t believe I am from a family of werewolves” I thought to myself “It all seamed so unreal, sure there have always been something weird about my family, but werewolves??? It’s like something straight out of a fantasy novel”.

I could feel the water getting a little warm but I didn’t mind, I remembered the words of the vampire about werewolves and vampires blood not going well together I got a little scared

“Am I going to die? I wondered, I honestly wasn’t scared of death I just felt a little sad that I would not be able to explore this new discovery about me being a werewolf.

After a while I heard the sound of my bathroom door open my mum walked it looking angry.

“Where have you been”?? She asked glaring angrily at me “ do you think you have grown so much you can now disappear for two days and sleep out”!!!

I calmly stepped out of the tub and wrapped myself with a towel,

“ are you a werewolf”? I asked her calmly.

She gasped taken back by my question.

“ who who told you that ?? She stuttered

“ please don’t lie to me mother I am already experiencing some changes in me and I know I am becoming a vam a werewolf”!!! I almost slipped about the vampire, my mums eyes widened and she gripped my hand tightly

“ have you changed” she asked

“What do you mean?” I replied

She seemed to breathe a sign of relief after my question she told me to meet she and dad at the dining room and left my room, I got dressed a little nervous because I didn’t know what to expect from them but I was going to make sure I get all the explanations of everything going on in our family.

When I got downstairs my dad was pacing around the dining table and my mum was sitting really calm which was surprising especially after our interaction in my room,

Immediately I stepped into the dining room my dad stopped pacing and came to hug me I was really shocked because he hasn’t done this in a very long time,

“ I can’t believe you finally got your wolf” he said pushing back to stare at me.

“ what’s going on ?? Can someone just explain to me why no one told me about this family being werewolves!!? I asked

My dad led me to a seat and sat me down he sat down opposite me and held my hands

“ when you were born we thought you were human because we didn’t get any werewolf scent from you” he began “ on the night of your 12th birthday you were supposed to get your wolf but there was no sign of any changes in you it was really shocking and strange because it was the first time something like that had ever happened, your mother was really devastated we even thought you were changed during your birth and if not for your green eyes you got from me I would have believed you weren’t my daughter so we concluded you are human.

Then we decided to keep the werewolf side of this family away from you”

I was shocked I looked at my mum but she had her head bowed probably trying to avoid eyes contact, I now understood why everyone treated me so differently. From the bulling in school and my mum coldness it was now finally making sense I was speechless and didn’t know how to handle everything I had just heard but then my dad’s next statement threw me off.

“ something must have triggered your werewolf.. where were you for the past two days?? He asked
