Third POV
Beta Julian walked to meet his late wife's nephew and embraced him tightly. He had a huge, fresh injury on his elbow, it was a burn from the fire.
Julian ushered him in and gave him a glass of orange juice to calm his nerves. He fetched a little water in a bowl and took a towel to clean the wound.
The process was terrible for Xavier as he constantly moaned loudly with every touch of the towel on the burn.
The beta took a big bandage to wrap the burn to prevent irritation and infection. As everything went on, Xavier kept easing his discomfort with the orange juice.
"Do you want to eat first or will you tell me everything that happened?" Julian asked, cleaning up his first aid equipment and pretending not to hear the rumbling noise of Xavier's stomach.
