The Adorable Paw

Lily was a sweet and simple girl who loved cats. Not only cats but she loved all the other animals too. Cats were her most favourite. Lily lived with her father and mother. Her mother's name was Shelly and father's name was Max. She was the only daughter of her parents. She was studying in college. Even though she was a big girl she was pampered a lot and taken care like a child as she was a single child of her parents. She was a very beautiful girl and a bit popular among her friends too. Though she was a bit popular and beautiful she was a sweet and innocent girl. She was kind too. She had two best friends in her college. Their names were Sonia and Sindhi. It was Lily's dream to complete her college with good grades, get a good job and look after her parents well. It was also her dream to build her own Dream house with her own hard earned money. She also wanted to build shelters for animals and take care of them. One night it was raining very heavily. Lily and her family used to stay in a small rented house. There was no much space in their house but still they managed to stay happy there. There were three rooms all together in their house. They were Living room, bed room and a kitchen. As it was raining very heavily that night Lily was standing near the window and looking outside. She was looking at the rain and wondering how heavy the rain was. It was thundering too. She was a little scared but she was enjoying the cool breeze coming from their window. While she was seeing outside, she saw that a cat was running all around. Lily felt that the cat had no shelter and as it was raining heavily the cat was trying to find a shelter but it was not finding one. Lily was continuously looking at that cat. Lily was feeling bad for the cat and was thinking to help it. While she was looking at that cat the cat noticed her. They made an eye contact and immediately the cat went running towards Lily's window and tried to jump in. The cat tried to jump inside the window but as Lily was standing near the window the cat failed to get inside and it fell down. When that happened Lily realised that the cat wanted to get inside the house to get protection from the rain. So, she stood a bit side of the window leaving space for the cat to get in and when she did so the cat once again jumped and it was successfully inside the house. Lily was glad that the cat was safe. As the cat was inside she saw that the cat was completely wet. The cat looked scared and shivering with cold. She quickly brought a towel and wipped the cat and helped it to dry. When she was helping the cat dry her mother saw that from the kitchen and went towards Lily and said, "Lily, what are you doing? From where did you get this cat? You already know that there is no enough space for a cat in our house. It's better if we don't keep it here. ", said her mother Shelly. "But mom, it's raining very heavily outside and I think this cat doesn't have a shelter. Probably it's lost and it is unable to find her way back home. So, at least for tonight we'll keep the cat here. ", said Lily. "Hmm.. let me talk to your dad about this. ", said Lily's mother Shelly and went to the living room where Lily's father Max was sitting. "Listen, Lily has brought a cat inside the house and she says it's raining heavily due to which tonight she wants to keep the cat inside the house. What do we do? What might the landlord say? But, how can the cat be outside in this rain? Shall we listen to Lily? is that okay? ", Lily's mother showerd questions over Lily's father Max. Lily's father looks out of the window and realises that really the rain was really very heavy. At the same time the cat goes running towards him and looks at him with twinkling innocent eyes. When he looks at the cat and looks outside the window at the same time, He feels It was not right to send the cat out of the house in that whether. So, he decides to let the cat be in for that night. "Yes, please. For tonight let the cat be inside the house. Looking at the weather I don't feel right to send the cat outside. ", he said. "Thank you so much dad. ", said Lily and hugged him. The mother was standing beside the father and smiling happily for Lily's success. Lily was the happiest that day. It was always her dream to have a cat but as they were staying in a rented house they were scared of the landlord to keep a pet in that house. They were not rich too. "Mom, can I take some warm milk and give it to the cat. It looks hungry.", Lily asked her mother. "Yes Lily, of course you can give milk to the cat.", her mother says and pours some milk in a boul and gives it to Lily. Lily takes the bowl and goes to the cat and keeps the bowl on the floor in front of the cat. The cat notices the bowl full of milk and happily goes towards the bowl and starts drinking it. It was a great experience for Lily and she was enjoying it a lot. It was finally dinner time at Lily's house. So, they all sits on the floor to have dinner. While they sat to have dinner Lily sees that the cat was lying down on the floor after drinking the milk. She was quickly having her dinner and thinking of playing with the cat afterwards. Even though she was having dinner her eyes and mind were totally over the cat. "Lily my girl, please concentrate on your dinner my child. Once you are done having the dinner you can go and play with the cat. To play with the cat you need to have energy and for that you need to have your dinner properly.,right? ", said her mother Shelly. "Yes mom.", Lily replies and obeys her mother. As Lily was having her food she saw that the cat that was lying on the floor had got up from its place and came walking towards Lily asking for food. Lily took some rice and curry and gave it to the cat. The cat ate little bit of rice and left the rest of the food and once again went back to the place and sat over there. Lily was a bit disappointed to see that the food that she had given was not finished by the cat. "Mom, why didn't the cat eat all of what I gave to her? she only ate some rice and left the rest. ", Lily said to her mother. "Lily, that's okay. Probably the cat doesn't eat rice much. Cats usually loves fishes a lot. Tomorrow morning let's buy fish and give it to the cat and keep some for us. ", said Lily's mother to Lily. Lily was very happy and excited to hear that. After finishing their dinner they all were sitting in the living room and watching TV. After an hour it was time for them to go to bed. Lily decided to make a bed of clothes for the cat to sleep. She brought her old clothes and spread it in the corner of the living room. When she did that the cat went and slept on the cloth comfortably. Lily was glad that the cat liked the bed. Once she made sure the cat was comfortable she also went and slept. Lily used to sleep with her parents.
