"How did I manage?", people still ask me that question till today, honestly it was because I had a friend.
Mary and I moved into a small decent apartment, Sandra would have followed but she had to watch over the Rose Mansion to make sure it's safe till my return, that's if I ever return.
It was already four days after the trial, I had already gotten over the trial but I couldn't forget what Leon had done, my love had turned into anger but I didn't want to bother myself in revenge. I was reading an article on the couch, Mary came in with breakfast, bacon, and fried eggs.
"Breakfast's ready." I stood up and went to the table, I thought I was gonna die of hunger when we first moved in but it turned out Mary knew how to cook, I didn't expect it, given her attitude and all.
"Have you decided what to do about your exile?" Her question brought me back from my thoughts.
"Well, I have decided to prove my innocence in some way," I replied, before placing bacon in my mouth.
"It would be easier for us if Leon would just turn himself in." Mary sighed.
"You know I can't believe he did that, I thought he was a good guy." I stopped eating and looked at her.
"Me too" I stood up and made my way to the couch.
"You're not gonna sit there all day, are you?" Mary asked looking worried.
"Nope I'll get up soon." it was nice knowing Mary cared for me. She was clearing the table when the door rang.
"coming." I stood up to check who it was but immediately I slammed the door.
"Who was it?" asked Mary.
"No one," I replied, but she went ahead to open the door and when she saw him, she grabbed him by the throat ready to slam him to the ground but I stepped in.
"Stop Mary, doing that would only make me look more guilty." She let go before speaking. "What brings you here, Leon." He opened his mouth to speak but I just raised my hand as a signal to stop.
"You know what I don't wanna know, Go away!" I shouted before slamming the door in his face.
"What did he want?" Mary asked.
"I don't know, I don't care" I replied.
Mary looked at me "Okay, if you say so." She left the sitting room, and on her way out, she cleared the table. I didn't know why Leon had come to see me, I guess maybe he wanted to mock me or threaten me, well I didn't care, I may have lost my abilities and all but I could still fight. I looked at the home for a few seconds before making a vow, never to let anyone hurt her like that again.
Later that night I decided to walk outside for some fresh breeze, I wanted to clear my thoughts, but it happened that fate had more plans for me.
After walking in the streets for a few minutes, I decided to go home, I was on my way when I saw someone in an alley all beat up, I wanted to leave the person but my conscience wouldn't stop killing me. I went to help the person but it turned out to be Leon, I turned to leave before he stopped me.
"Please don't go." He pleaded. I stopped and a long silence followed.
"Why did you do it?" I broke the silence.
"Well um." He started fumbling with his words.
I faced him and said. "So that's how it is." before going, just about when I was already a few feet away from me he shouted.
"I will help you plead your innocence." I turned around and looked at him.
"Why should I trust you?" I asked.
"I know I don't deserve your trust but could you at least hear me out." He said quietly. I looked at him and sighed.
"Come and we can discuss it."
He stood up and followed me home. Mary wasn't happy about it but she decided to hear him out too apparently she was tired of the house and wanted to go back to the mansion. Leon explained how Augustus from the silver pack tricked him into believing my father was the cause of his death and made him look like that to convince the Omitron I did it.
"But that's impossible my father died a long time ago," I said.
"Yeah I know it wasn't your father now, Augustus told me later that it was all a lie." There was pain and guilt in Leon's eyes.
We decided to meet the Omitron the next day, and as we were making our decision, we heard Savita's voice. "A nice apartment" We turned around to see Savita, Bride, and my mum in my sitting room.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Oh, I just came to congratulate you on proving your innocence." He said.
"Those that mean I'm accepted back and…."
"Oh no, sweetie" Savita cut me off.
"You have to do a mission for me." He smirked.
"And that is," I asked.
"Oh, nothing much just finding your father for me," Savita said quietly.
"My father is dead," I replied.
"But is he? Did you see him die?" I slowly thought about it and noticed he was right, I didn't even know where his grave is, that is, if he has one.
"Alexia Rose, your father is still alive."
