Chapter 19Feldkirch Sofie Meyer had arrived in Austria, landing right on time at Friedrichshafen Airport, twenty-nine miles from Feldkirch. She was met at the airport by Klaus Richter, with whom she felt an instant rapport. She decided the Austrian detective would be easy to get along with and as they drove towards Feldkirch, he filled her in with as much information as he'd managed to gather since their last conversation. Then, on more mundane matters, he said, “I have booked you in to the Hotel Bären on Bahnhofstrasse, just a two-minute walk from the centre of town. It has wi-fi if you need to do any work from your room, and is well rated on the internet. I hope you will be comfortable there.” “I'm sure it will be fine thank you, Klaus.
