Chapter 3

1020 Words
"I'm thirsty for your blood kitten, your sweet blood" For a second, Eloise felt lost, it was more like she lost her senses. She raised her head and for the first time, she stared into his eyes. His eyes were beautiful, calm and beautiful. She couldn't help but get lost in his silver eyes, she expected his eyes to be cold just like he was but then she couldn't help but get captivated by his eyes. "Will you give me your blood then, kitten?" Kai asked once again, bringing Eloise out her thoughts. "I... can't you ask for something else, please?" She pleaded, hoping that he would at least spare her. "No!" He rejected it abruptly. There's no way he would let her go that easily. Eloise closed her eyes for a moment, she had no choice but to give him her blood but what if he sucked all her blood dry and then she would be dead? But she doesn't have a choice either, she would still die if she refuses to give him her blood. She must have really offended someone in her past life to have a cursed life. Kai kept his gaze on the girl in front of him, she was like a puzzle he was trying so difficult to solve. He knew she was there all along, he could smell her scent from afar. And even if he didn't, there was no way she would have gone scot-free after witnessing what she did. She was human after all and humans can't be trusted. He was planning on sucking her blood dry and burning her body but then her eyes... "Okay" she agreed, staring into his eyes. If she was going to die then she should at least die bravely. Maybe that way, heaven might decide to spare her a place and who knows she might meet her mother and father. A smirk formed on Kai's lips. He moved closer to her, close enough for them to feel their breath on each other's skin. He used his hand to caress her skin and just like he expected she responded to his touch. "It won't hurt, kitten," he assured her, sensing her fear. He was planning on killing her in the first place but now he wanted to have a taste of her blood, wipe this part of her memories and send her on her way. Eloise closed her eyes, ready to accept what fate had in store for her. It seems that she was already destined to die that evening, her body was too weak and any minute she could collapse. She had always had a fragile body ever since she was a kid, that's why when other kids are having fun, she would be on her bed, taken care of by her father. He caressed her hair, his lips curled into a dangerous smile but then... Seconds, minutes passed and Eloise could feel nothing. She was expecting to feel his fangs pierced into her neck and then he would slowly suck her blood dry. Though he promised not to hurt her but then so far the only thing her mother and thought her was no to ever trust the creatures of the night. Up until she was five, she never knew there were creatures that existed other than the humans but then things changed when she went into the forest on her fifth birthday. ~~~~~~~ The young Eloise walked through the forest with tears falling profusely from her eyes. At that time also, the rain was falling heavily, refusing to stop. The young girl had run away from home, hoping she could go far away from her parents. That day was her birthday but her mum refused to celebrate her birthday for her and when her father wanted to, she refused asking him to leave if he was going to go against her wish. She had always known her mother never loved her nor has she ever cared for her. To her mother, she was a curse she had to live with for the rest of her life. She had always treated her like she never existed. Maybe that was why when her mother died, the young Eloise felt nothing for her mother. It felt like she was watching a stranger being buried and not her mother. She kept walking and walking, her legs were hurting but she refused to stop. She would prefer to die than go back home to her parents. She wouldn't care if she died after all since she hated her so much. And just like that, little Eloise walked deeper and deeper into the forest. She reached the heart of the forest and that was when she realized that she was lost. She tried to find her way back home but the little girl kept going back to where she started. "Mama! Papa!" She cried out in tears but she could hear no response but instead the birds responded to her. She was getting afraid and the little girl was getting scared. She wanted to go back home to her parents, she wanted to be with her mother even though the latter hated her, she wanted to be under the care of her father who had always shown her love. She just wanted to return home, back to her parents. Little Eloise couldn't control her tears, her body was slowly giving in to the cold and she was losing control of her breath. She tried gasping for air but she felt like something was holding her neck tightly and blocking her nostrils and that was when it happened. A woman came out of the bushes, for a moment the young girl thought she was human but the marks and scars on her face told her otherwise. "What are you doing all alone here, little girl?" She asked with an evil grin on her face. Scared, little Eloise took to her heels and the weird woman came after her. She was running and running till her body gave into the cold and then she fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
