The one you left behind

Wonderfully bliss is the sunray’s as it’s cast over a small town known as Switlavnika. Meters down the river the water stops flowing which formed a pond-like structure. You can see the landscape reflecting in the barely moving water. This is the only place where a river just seems to stop flowing. Just like the blood in my body. Through the greenery you can see an open spot if you know where to look. It’s really quiet here, you can almost hear mother nature’s sweet melody…almost. Instead it’s dead silence . The only thing I do hear is my heart beating, if it wasn’t for that I would have thought it’s dead too. Or maybe that’s just me wishing it. To be numb and not feel this pain any longer would have been way better. I can not compete with mother nature and rip the weeds out and make a beautiful flower grow in it’s place. “Tweak”. Wait what was that? Is someone spying on me here in the woods? Have I  been so much in my thoughts that I didn’t notice someone coming? Most of the folks in this small town avoid this part of the woods altogether as it’s seen as “bad luck”. This is a place where legends and horror stories are made of so that kids don’t wander off alone. I can’t be this unlucky to get eaten by an animal can I? “Snap”. There it is again this can not be my imagination or an animal by any means, someone is definitely spying on me or here to kill me. I quickly jump behind a tree and perk up my ears to listen while trying to calm my heavy breathing. Silence..
