Chapter 19
Sarah stood, staring in horror as she watched Daniel crash to the ground. He’d told her to run, but there was no time. The vorg was much too close. She had already drawn her sword, now she needed to protect Mary… and Daniel, though how she could slow let alone best a creature made of stone she really had no idea.
The vorg took the final step, passing under the archway and reaching Sarah. It attacked quickly. So quickly she didn’t even see it coming. One moment she was standing, sword ready, the next it had smashed into her chest and sent her flying backward.
