“I still can’t believe we’re doing this!” Sarah hissed at Josef, keeping her voice as low as possible.
Josef checked those around them before replying. The Preacher was still a good dozen yards behind, along with a bunch of his followers. Sarah and he had peace… for the moment.
“Would you rather the Preacher was marching his forces to the council chambers to wage a war? Isn’t it better that the council wants to talk with him?”
“If that’s really what everyone wants then yes, but is it? Do you trust the Preacher? Or the council?”
