"My friend Mr.David lives in Singapore. I am Russel, an ex- army officer. We have been very close to each other since our college days and are also distantly related to each other. He is 55 years old. He has a medium size factory in Singapore which he has actually inherited from his father who had already died." "He has a son who is only 20 years old and been pursuing Engineering and is in 3rd year. He is an average but hard working student." "Mr David does not like to bother his son with any business responsibilities, therefore, he has been managing the industry single handedly. It is a flourishing business, and with the grace of God and hard work, he has made enough money. He has his own house there." However, except his house and a little land around it, he has not gone for acquiring any fixed asset there. He feels that whatever asset he has there is more than sufficient for his son. He should have a good amount of cash in his bank account, he is focusing on that presently. He has a simple plan. He will wait till his son grows up to 26/27 year old. Then he will see if his son wants to take over the industry and manage it himself. If it is positive, he will guide him for a couple of years and then leave it to him and come back to his own country. If, however, he finds that his son is interested in job, then he will arrange to sell the industry, and alternatively his son will be free to take up a job, as he will also have good qualification.. As a father he wants to give complete freedom to his son to choose his career as he pleases. "However, in his own country Mr. David has no fixed asset. Therefore, he has decided to purchase a banglow He has a desire to spend his old age in his own country with his own poeple." ."Just 2 months ago he came down here with his wife for a couple of days and was staying at a posh hotel. One fine morning I was really surprised to see him standing at my door step and smiling. I infact could not believe my eyes. He stepped in and hugged me, then dragged me to sit on the chair. In utter astonishment I asked him when he came". "The then explained all his plans and programnes and requested me to help him purchase a farm house. Later I learned that he changed his original idea of purchasing a banglow on the advice of his wife." "I asked him how he can get a farm house so immediately? why did he not come earlier? He said very honestly that he was planning to come for a long time but he simply could not because of his work pressure'. "Finally, after having tea and snacks, I took him to a Real Estate Agent and requested him to arrange a farm house with sufficient land all around. He also explained that there should be suffient number of fruit trees and other plants" ". He demanded that it should be really a farm house in the truest sense of the term. The agent started laughing listening to him and said that he had really understood the meaning of farm house". "We left the office, he caught my hand and requested me to persue the matter vigorously other wise,he said, it would be delayed. He explained his incapacity to come frequently, in that case he said that I wound have to take the entire respobsibility as a care taker. I promised to cooperate with him in all respects. He left for Singapore after 3 days." "Just after one month the agent called me, he showed me a farm house with sufficient land area coupled with a variety of fruit trees etc. I surveyed it throughly and found that it is a farm house as my friend wanted." "I took a video and sent it to my friend immediately. On receipt of the video clips he asked me some general questions and said that he was coming within two days. And he did come, went around the house and was very pleased. He met the agent, thanked him, and finalized the deal." "He was particularly happy to see that the area was totally walled with a big iron gate in the front which only needs to be painted." "He now met me in my house because I invited him to have dinner wit me. He requested me to paint the entire house and the gate, employ some labourers to chop down or uproot the wild plants, weeds and bushes, appoint a security guard on 24x7 hours and also build a small room for him at the gate." "This apart, he told me to carry on the repair whereever it was necessary and arrange for water and electric connection . He also paid me good amount of money for all these miscellaneous work. Mr. David left for Singapore the next day. " ""Even after reaching Singapore he kept himself in constant touch with me" "I appointed some labourers to make the premises totally clean. The farm house was remaining unsold for some time, hence, wild plants and bushes grew up all over. Next I got the entire house painted with decent colour and as a result it was looking very majestic now."" "I had no difficulty in appointing a security guard. A man, about 38/39 years old, came and met me. He said that professionally he is a guard. He appeared gentle and hardworking and most importantly very honest. I asked him to join and ,meanwhile, a small guard room was also built for him." "Next I concentrated on water and electricity connection, however, I did not have much problem in that." "I posted my friend with all the information, and he was very happy." "My friend had a simple plan for his future. After returning to his country he would build a small house for them where they will live and promote the farm house as a tourist accommodation for those who come to visit the place as there are many places there worth seeing" "After the completion of all the work and cleaning the premises, the house looked very attractive. Many people stopped to enquire what the house is for." "Mr David was very happy that he now has a fixed asset in his own country. He even thanked me for this. He openly keeps saying that without my help the dream would have actually been impossibe for him to realize." "Mr.David informed all his friends about the new venture. Accordingly. Once he got a call from one of his very close friends. He heard about his farm house and also saw the photo of that sent by David. He wished to come with his family and spend 2/3 days there." David welcomed him openly and asked him why 2/3 days , they can stay there as many days as they wanted." His friend is a big business man, hence, he preferred a short duration. Mr.David informed me about it well in advance. As per the schedule, the gentle man came with his family .His car reached the house at about 10.30 am. His family consisted of 4 members. Besides his 15 year old daughter, he also had a 10 year old son. As they entered the house, they were very impressed by the up keep of the house. The children and his wife liked particularly the fruit trees and a well maintained garden with sufficient space for the children to run about. They also were in praise of the security guard who was always alert to do whatever the visitors wanted him to do and thereby he won their hearts. The first night passed very well. The gentle man and his wife were sitting on the roof garden till 10.30pm, and then they went to the bed. The next morning , he got up early morning and started strolling all around the house and enjoying the serenity . Second day also the couples were sitting on the roof till 10 pm sipping coffee and discussing . Their children ,however, were already in the bed and were fast asleep. They were ,however, in their adjacent room. The couples came down to their bed room at about 11 pm and went to sleep. At about 2 am when the children were in sound sleep, a man came and stood on the other side of the window which was open widely. The man could see the children sleeping clearly. He started calling the girl in a hypnotizing tone. After about 5/6 minutes, the girl suddenly woke up and looked at the open window. She saw the man standing there, he started calling her very lovingly. She was already dozing,and secondly she was hypnotized. She soundlessly got down the bed, opened the door, climbed down the steps, where the man came and was waiting for her. She followed him noiselessly and went upto a big tree to the end of the left side boundary of the farm house. Next day the couples were lying still in the bed, but their son woke up a little late, but found that his sister was not by his side. He thought that she must have gone to her parents. So he also came to their room but could not find her. When he asked them as to where was his sister, they were surprised. Father asked him to see the toilet, he ran their and found no one there, he came and said the same to his father. The parents got up hurriedly and both started searching for her.They called the guard and at last they found to their utter surprise and shock that her lifeless body was lying at the foot of a big tree. The parents broke down completely. The guard tried in vain to control them, finally he called the care taker and he came running as his house was not very far. He was totally dumbfounded to see the body at the foot of the tree. He stood there speechless for sometime. Many questions came crowding his mind such as who killed her, why and how?. "I asked her parents as to how did the girl come out at night and why did see come to the foot of the tree which is not even located in the front side of the house. Then he looked critically at the body and asked how did she die? there was no injury any where on her whole body." There was no indication that she was sexually exploited as she was wearing her dress perfectly. The parents kept crying and they had no answers to the questions. Police were called. Naturally, their first suspicion was the guard. However, the couples spoke in favour of the guard saying that they found him always sitting at the gate. Police started their investigation. They felt strange as to why the girl came to the remote tree at the dead of the night. Shocked and totally heart broken, the couples left the house after completing all Police and other formalities. However, they assured the police that they will be available whenever they will need them. When David came to know about the incident he was totally dumbfounded. It was intriguing for him as to why did the girl come out of the house and walked up to the tree at the dead of the night, the same questions that also arose in the mind of his friend. He argued very logically that there is a guard at the gate, who remains on duty through out the day and the night and the entire house is walled, hence, it is not possible for any outsider to scale the wall and come in, then the question is why the girl went to the corner of the house. Was she following anybody? It was absurd. He said, definitely the girl was mentally retarded which was hidden from them. Police said in its report that the girl died of terrific fear. However, they felt that here was nothing to be feared of in that house. Some of the officers privately surmised that the girl might not be mentally sound. In the absence of any clue,they completely failed to proceed any further with the case,therefore, it was closed. No body visited that house for about 4 months. Even David was not interested to allow any body to stay there. But a middle aged couples, friends of Mr.David, called him and expressed their desire to spend just 2/3 days there. Though he permitted them but he informed them about the unhappy incident. He told them very clearly that in case they found any problem, they should take the help of the guard, who, he said, would remain there through out the day and night. The woman was about 35 year old and she was beautiful. Her husband was a high govt official. They have a son but they preferred to keep him with his grandmother. Only the couples arrived in their car in the morning The guard provided them with all necessary help whatever and whenever they needed. Even at 8 pm that night he came, met the gentleman and told him to call him any time for any help. The couples liked the surrounding greenery very much. In the evening they spent much time moving around and sipping coffee sitting on the chair. At about 9.30 pm they had their dinner and then went up to spend sometime on the roof garden, then came down, went to bed and fell asleep. They slept keeping the window open, and they were sleeping exactly near the window. It was about 2am, the woman woke up suddenly from her deep sleep. She felt as if someone was calling her very lovingly. She looked at the window and found a man standing, calling and gesturing her to come out. She had no power to resist it, she felt she was hypnotised. She silently got down of the bed, opened the door and came out. She saw the person standing in front of her and was calling her. He started moving backward keeping his eyes on the woman. He was slowing moving towards that tree. When she almost reached the tree, she suddenly fell dead. It was only a few yards where her body was lying. Next morning, as usual the man got up at about 6.30am, but could not see his wife beside him. He presumed that she must have gone to the toilet, so he kept lying for some more time. But even after half an hour, she did not return, therefore, he became worried as to where she was. Suddenly, he heard the guard calling him very loudly. He could feel that there was fear and shock in his vocal sound. He feared something serious. Frightened, he came out hurriedly and the guard took him to near a big tree where his wife's body was lying. He stood looking at the body in shock for sometime,slowly sat down and moved his fingures on her eyes closing them, which were wide open. The news spread like wild fire. The neighbours came running in large number to see and soon there was a big crowd. The people took it very seriously, and wanted to know why such thing was happening repeatedly When there was a guard on duty 24x7 hours. "I was informed and came running immediately. I was shocked to see what had happened. My mind stopped working, it was beyond my imagination as to how the murder was taking place at a place which was fully protected and absolutely safe with a guard on duty all the time." "Being an ex-army man I was confused as to who was killing and how, when there were no injuries on the body of the victim." Police were informed. They came, asked their routine questions and took the body with them. They asked many questions to the guard and then they released him. Police did their investigation but could not reach any where. Their report again said that the death was due to extreme fear. When David was informed he was profoundly shocked, but this time he gave no explanation, he remained silent. He only said that he was extremely worried about the entire incidents. "He asked me to spend one night in the house and observe what exactly happens at night. He advised me to keep the lights on and take any help of the guard ". Russel was a very brave man, he agreed with his friend's proposal fixed a date to spend the night there. Army training had taught him to face any danger boldly, so he was not scared at all. "On the schedule night, I informed my wife about my programme, and after having dinner I took a large torch, a flask of coffee and came to the house." "I switched on all the lights, sat near the window to have clear view of the premises. I sat at a place from where I could see the big tree clearly. I also asked the guard to be alert." He came to the house after 12 days of the last incident. It was about 12.30 am suddenly a police van came and stopped in front of the house. Two officers came in directly and asked "why I was sitting there". I said," I have been requested by the owner to keep watch at night and report if any unusual thing comes to my notice." The officers were very happy." They asked me to watch and remain very alert. They gave me their number and instructed me to inform them if I needed their help any time and left the house." The sky was cloudy, as soon as the officers left the house it started raining in torrents. But surprisingly after about 40 minutes the moon came out and "I could see everything very clearly." "I was sipping a cup of coffee and could see that the guard was sitting in his room. The intensity of the down pour reduced to a great extent, and it was drizzling now. I was looking around and looked at the infamous tree standing tall at the corner of the house which was clearly visible from the window at the moon light. I was totally astounded to notice that despite heavy rain the three remained totally dry. By that time the rain had completely stopped, hence I came out of my room,torch in my hand, and proceeded to the tree." "The guard also joined me. I examined the leaves but there was not a single drop of water on any leaf. This tree stood completely dry while other trees were wet and their leaves soaked in water. I Showed it to the guard. I was totally bewildered at this spectacle, and It was beyond the Ken of my commonsense as to how it could happen. Was it not something miraculous ?" "I informed my friend promptly about it. But simply he laughed it off, gave no importance to it, but thanked me for keeping the vigil at night." "I could very well understand that David was not in touch with whatever was happening at the house. I found this incident ghostly ,other wise it can not happen like this. I, therefore, decided not to raise the matter to him again." "But I truly felt that it was unwise to keep the matter under wrap because the problem needs to be solved. Therefore, I informed the police officers about my queer experience." The police immediately came and observed the tree well, they took photos and the samples of some leaves for the sake of experiments. The farm house remained incident free for more than two months as nobody came to stay there during this period. Naturally the concern and tensions etc also subsided to a great extent. "After two and half months of the last incident my friend David suddenly came down from Singapore. I found that he was free from any negetivities. He requested me to appoint a young gardener to develop a flower garden and keep the premises tidy. He also said that he guard will also get his companion." Finally he confided that he would like to develop the farm house as a resort for future use. Just after two days he left for Singapore. "As instructed I appointed a young Gardner, I found him experienced besides being physically strong and hard working. He was also allotted a room to stay in the house 24x7 hours." The young man took his responsibilities very seriously. He cleaned the entire area pulled out the weeds., removed the wild plants and bushes and developed an exotic flower garden within two months. Fragrant flowers of eye catching hues enhanced the beauty of the lawn of the house. David was very happy with his work and increased his salary to encourage him to stay. But just after 3 months of his appointment a fresh tragedy struck the farm house. "One morning, I got a call to come to the house immediately. When reached I found a big crowd in the house." "I was horrified to see that the body of the young Gardner was lying on the ground a little far away from the house. I was very much depressed at the recurring deaths. The locals were also very angry, they already started calling the house " goat house". Such a tag ,I felt, will seriously harm the reputation of the house." The police were informed, they came, made their enquires, took the body and the guard with them. He was released after a very long time and" I learned that he was interrogated intensively". The police report said that the young man died of fear and shock. David was immensely shocked when informed about the death of the gardener. He expressed his helplessness and said," I don't understand how it is happening there when we have a guard, nothing is coming in my mind." "We both started blaming the police for doing nothing. They are only providing us with the cause of the death and practically doing nothing." David asked," Have they no other responsibilities? Days were passing as usual. David was in the state of deep depression. He was in a dilemma as to what he should do now, as he had invested a lot of money, and even it is not possible to sell the house now because the locals have put a tag 'ghost house'. Hence, it will be difficult to get a buyer. So, David felt that all his investment was a waste and that is paining his heart. After about one and half months of the death of the gardener, David got a call from two persons. They wanted him to permit them to spend just one night with their wives. But David was reluctant to allow them in view of the deaths that have remained unsolved. When the persons insisted, he wanted them to get a permission letter from the local police station,they gladly agreed to that. Subsequently, they submitted a written approval. He then permitted them but advised them to be very careful and take the help of the guard incase they faced any problem. He particularly asked them to be very careful about their wives, Two men and their wives reached the house at about 7 pm. They parked their car inside. One of them met the guard and told him to be alert and vigilant through out the night. He came along with him, opened the rooms, and also informed them that there is a roof garden, they can spend some time there, saluted them and went back to his room. They had nice time, had food and spent time on the roof garden till 11 pm. They found that the guard was moving through out the premises with his stick. Finally two men went to bed. Two ladies slept in the adjacent room of the men. They kept their window wide open for fresh air. Even men also kept their window open. At about 2.15 am one man stood on the other side of the window of the womens' room and started calling one lady. She was pretending that she was in sound sleep. She suddenly woke up, looked around and found a man standing on the other side of the window and calling her lovingly and gesturing her to come out. She silently got down the bed, opened the door, pretended that she was still dozing and came out of the room. She found the man standing just in front of her. She started following the man appearing in a dozed state. Meanwhile, the other two men were awake and watching every thing very keenly. The man was walking backward, keeping his look on the woman constantly and was proceeding towards the big tree.The two men came out of the room and started tip toeing towards that tree, keeping themselves hidden behind the flower and other plants. Suddenly, the man on reaching the tree became headless, only his headless body was moving and his two hands were gesturing her to follow her. The woman was shuddering to see such a frightful sight of a moving man without head at the dead of the night. But she took it to her stride, over came the shock, took out her revolver and fired at the man. Meanwhile, the other two persons also reached the spot and one of them fired twice from his automatic revolver. The bullets pierced the silence of the night and hit the tree. The sound of the firing reverberated, but they lost the sight of the headless man in the flash of the fire. Two men visited he guard room and found that the guard was not visible anywhere. His room was empty. The men police officers congratulated the lady officer for holding her in the presence of a ghost. The other lady officer also joined them and thanked every body. The officers informed the police station and asked them to send the men and materials. Within sometime a van came with some people, they started digging out the foot of the big tree, finally, they recovered a human skeleton with its head. They locked the house and left with the skeleton. "Next day they called me to the police station and the officer explained their strategy they followed in pinpointing the culprit." He said," when we came to take the body of the gardener, we took the guard with us for interrogation. We made him sit In a room where there were two videos at the entrance. However, by interrogation we could not reach anywhere, then allowed him to go. One of our officer broke the startling news that the guard 's gettining into and coming out of the room was not reflected in both the videos at all, whereas there were the reflections of all the officers who were present for the interrogation, so, we came to know who was the culprit immediately, and treated it as a paranormal case. Therefore, we had implemented this strategy to solve the problem." He said "the problem is over and I lwas told to inform the owner." I thanked them, left the police station and heaved a sigh of relief.
