CHAPTER 16

“What?” Jason and Damien said.

“You heard me. Sam was the one who got me out of that prison, he saved me before those hunters got their filthy hands on me.” Jason growled and pulled her closer to him, the thought of someone touching his mate made him angry.

“I didn't know it back then but it was Semeli who was helping him from the other end of the room. Their mission was to destroy the facility I was in and leave no surviving creature behind but they put their lives at risk in order to save me. I was too weak to move and I was bleeding badly. Sam kept me alive and took me out of there. All I could feel was cold and I knew this was the end. But he told me to fight it, he promised me that I would survive this and he will bring me back to my pack.

I remember telling him no, no man will want me after the scars those people let on my skin but he promised me that the right man will and he was right.” She couldn't say anything else as she started crying in her mate’s arms.

Both Damien and Jason were familiar with Daisy’s story. Daisy’s pack was attacked on her 18th birthday party and she was abducted along with a few other members but no one survived. They found her a month later on the border of their pack but she was never the same. They beat her so badly that it let awful scars on her body, mainly on her back.

At that time, both Jason and Damien were called from her pack as they were allies with her alpha, to help them find his younger daughter. When the patrol on the borders informed them that they found her, they all rushed to meet her. As soon as Jason lay his eyes on her, he knew she was his mate. It took her a long time to recover and he was there from the beginning. It hurt him seeing his mate going through depression but she was better now. She was a survivor.

“s**t” Damien said in frustration. Believing that Sam is a bad guy made it easier but now the roles reversed and he was the monster in the story once again.

A nock was heard from the door and Damien was thankful to be out of his head that surrounded him with guilt.

“Come in” he said using his alpha voice.

Will appeared from the door.

“I found something we can use to br-“ and he stopped himself from talking further as he realised Daisy was in the room. Daisy’s eyes turned to look at Will and he gave her a weak wave. Jason and Damien sigh.

“She knows Will, you can talk freely” Damien said

“O-okay..” he said uncertainly.

“I did as we discussed and I follow this Sam guy”

A low growl was heard from Daisy as she wasn't pleased with how he talked about her savior.

‘Anyways…” he continue saying while looking at Daisy in a weird way

“At first I thought he was talking to a relative but then I realized that he spoke to that certain person when your mate wasn't around. He said that he loved her and he missed waking up next to her. I was sure he wasn't talking about Semeli and then yesterday when he was on the phone he said that even if he has to marry Semeli he wont stop loving her and how he wished things were different.”

Everybody was shocked. James was pissed. He wanted to rip Sam’s throat. He was lucky to be paired with the most amazing woman only to cheat on her with someone else. He should respect her, she is absolutely perfect. Any man will be lucky to have her but not him. He doesn't deserve her. Damien tried to calm his wolf down but he was as angry as him.

Daisy sigh and whispered “Poor Sammy”

Damien let out a monstrous growl. How can she feel sorry for that guy he is the one cheating. He was furious, James growled from inside his head, he wanted to be free to shred this son of a b***h for doing this to his mate. How could he?

“Damien stop, we have a problem. Rouges” Jason yelled and Damien froze. How did his life turn out like that he thought before breaking his office window, shifting midway and running out of the pack house.
