Kyle's Point of View
I stood frozen in my place as Elara ran out of my office. Elara thought that Chloe and I had been f*****g right before she arrived. She had tears in her eyes because that made her upset. I hated how mad I was that she was hurt. That I had hurt her, even though it was unintentional. I was pissed at Chloe for coming into my office and causing this misunderstanding.
Chloe and I didn't have s*x. She came into my office trying to seduce me, but I kicked her out. I let her know, like the other times she had tried to be intimate with me since I met Elara, that nothing was going to happen between us again. I had no idea that Elara would arrive at the same moment Chloe left.
I knew that Elara felt the way she did because of the mate bond. It was affecting her almost as much as it was affecting me. My wolf was so upset with me. He wanted me to go and explain everything to Elara. He hated that she was hurting and upset with me. It bothered me that my wolf wasn't the only one that cared. I also cared. I felt like s**t knowing that Elara was huritng becuase of me and I wasn't supposed to feel that way. I knew I needed to keep it together and not let the mate bond take over me.
Mark walked into my office a moment later. "Elara looks upset. What happened?" Mark asked
"Your sister is what happened," I replied
"What did she do? Wait! I don't think I want to know," Mark said
"She was in my office earlier. She left when Elara showed up and now Elara has the wrong idea about what I was doing with her before she got here," I said
"She thinks you and my sister were..."
"Yep," I said
"Was she right?" Mark asked
"No. I haven't touched your sister since I met Elara. I haven't been with any woman since meeting Elara. I can't," I said. I looked at Mark to see he had a smile on his face. "What?" I asked
"Nothing. It just seems to me like you have feelings for Elara or should I say Luna Elara," Mark said
"No. I have already told you that I don't have feelings for her and if I did it's because of the mate bond. I am only getting close to her because she is the Awakener. I need her only because her powers will make my pack stronger," I said. Saying those words left a bad taste in my mouth.
"Whatever you say, Alpha," Mark replied
I walked over to the door to leave. "Where are you going?" Mark asked
"To talk to Elara. I need to let her know that nothing happened between Chloe and me," I said
"So much for not caring," Mark said
"I am only doing it to make sure that she moves into the packhouse," I said
"How is that supposed to work? She knows nothing about werewolves," Mark said
"And she won't find out. Not until she is ready," I replied as I walked away.
I got into my car and was about to head to Elara's house but then one of my trackers I had watching over Elara mind-linked me. "Alpha Kyle, something has happened. Ms. Gray had to go to her sister's school. She got into a fight and the school called their social worker."

Elara's Point of View
I was so upset as I walked out of Black INK. I didn't understand why I was so upset. I had no right to be. Mr. Black wasn't mine and I had no right to be upset. He could f**k anyone he wanted. It didn't concern me. Even thinking that made my heart hurt. I hated thinking about him being with anyone. That was when I realized I was gaining feelings for him. I shook it off. There is no way that was possible. He was nothing but a rich and selfish man. My phone started going off as I got in the car. I looked at it to see Clara's school was calling me.
"Hello."
"Hello, may I speak to Ms. Gray?"
"This is her."
"Hello, I am calling from your sister Clara, Gray's school. We need you to come up here. Your sister has been involved with another fight with a student."
"I will be there soon," I said. I ended the call and made my way to Clara's school. When I arrived I parked the car and went inside. When I got into the office, Clara was sitting in the office and Mrs. Jenny, our social worker was there as well.
"Hello, Elara," Mrs. Jenny said as soon as I walked inside.
"Mrs. Jenny, I. Um, I wasn't expecting for you to be here," I said
"The school called me. They told me what happened today," Mrs. Jenny said. I was shocked and upset that the school would call her. I knew that they knew that Clara could get taken away from me if the state felt like I wasn't doing a good job at taking care of her.
"I think we should go to my office to talk in private," The principal said
"Okay," I replied. I looked over at Clara to see she had a worried look on her face. I was sure she was worried that she was going to be taken away. I was also worried.
When we got to the principal's office she was about to close the door but a voice I was shocked to hear spoke.
"WAIT!" I turned to see Mr. Black coming toward us.
"How can I help you, sir?" the principal asked. I was sure she knew who he was
"I am here with them," Mr. Black said
"Really?" the principal asked me
"Um, yes" I replied. For some reason, I knew it would be a good idea to let him come in with us.
"We wanted to talk to you about Clara. As you know, Clara has been in a few fights and other altercations with other students. We are worried that this might be because of her living situation," The principal said
"That is why you called her, right?" I asked
"Yes," the principal said
"Elara, I know you love your sister, but this doesn't seem to be working. Not only that, but your home isn't in the best condition, and I learned that you have lost your job recently. I think it might be best for her to live with a family that can..."
Clara was crying at this time. "No, I am not going to leave."
"What, no. You can't take my sister away," I said.
"I am sorry, but you don't have a choice," Mrs. Jenny said
"Yes, they do have a choice and you will not be separating them," Mr. Black said, causing everyone to look at him.
