Chapter7

Kyle's Point of View(Earlier that day)

"Alpha Kyle," I heard Beta Mark say. I looked up to see everyone staring at me. We were in a conference room having a meeting with the warriors and guards.

"Yes," I said

"I was saying we have everything ready for when Alpha Ryan and his pack come," Mark said. Alpha Ryan is the strongest Alpha of the Southern Pack. His pack is called the Silvermoon Pack. He and his pack were coming because we were forming an alliance. He would be staying for about a month to train with us as well.

"Okay, is there anything else?" I asked

"No, that's it," Mark replied

"Okay then, everyone can go," I said, and everyone got up and left. I looked up to see Mark still sitting at the table staring at me.

"What?" I asked

"Are you okay, Alpha? You haven't been yourself since meeting your mate," Mark said

"I am fine," I lied. All I had been doing since meeting Elara was thinking about her. I still couldn't believe that she rejected my offer after I showed up at her house and apologized. I had been keeping an eye on her. I even bought the bar she was working for and changed its name to the Eclipse Bar. I could barely sleep because all I thought about was her. It pissed me off. It was the dumb mate bond. Either way I needed to keep her safe for my wolf's sake. If anything happened to her, my wolf would become weak. Not only that but she was the Awakener. I needed to figure out how to get her to join forces with me. The problem was she was human and didn't know anything about werewolves. Plus, she couldn't stand me.

"Alpha,"

"I said I am fine," I replied, and I got up from my seat.

"Let me guess. You are going to see your mate?" Mark said

"Don't overthink this, Mark. I still don't want her," I said

"Then are you going to reject her?" I growled at the thought. " I guess that answers my question. So much for not wanting her," Mark said

"I don't want her, but I can't reject her. Not only because my wolf would be mad, but also because she is the Awakener. She can help the Pack become stronger. I just need to convince her to come here with me," I said

"I don't think she will come here, not after the way you treated her," Mark asked

"I have to get her here. If the wrong person found out about her, that would be horrible."

"The only way I could see her coming to help is by using the matebond against her. She has to feel it too, even though she is human. But since you don't want her, I don't see how that would work unless you make her fall in love with you." That did sound like a good idea. She was my fated mate, and I could tell she was attracted to me. I could use that to my advantage to get her here.

"No, Alpha Kyle. I know what you are thinking. You can't play with that girl's feelings. It's wrong," Mark said

"I don't have a choice. Think about it. If the wrong person find out about her, like the Dark Alpha, they could use her to destroy the world," I said. Mark didn't say anything. I turned to leave.

"I hope you don't regret this," Mark said as I got to the door

"I won't," I replied. I was doing what was right. I knew it. When I walked out of room I ran into Chloe.

"Hello, Alpha Kyle."

"Chloe," I replied

"How about we have some fun. It's been a while since we've f****d," Chloe said as she put her hand on my chest. The feeling of her touching me made me feel disgusted. That was another thing that irritated me about Elara. Ever since meeting her I couldn't stand another woman touching me. I had tried to f**k a few but couldn't. It made me feel sick to my stomach. Not only that but I felt disgusted for f*****g anyone in the past. All I saw was Elara's face and all I could think about was how I wanted to be with her. She was the most beautiful woman in the world and smelled better than anyone else.

I shook those thoughts out of my head as I pushed Chloe away from me. "I am not in the mood," I said

"You are never in the mood. Not after you met your mate. What? Are you going to accept her now?" Chloe asked

"No but I am not going to be with you either. Whatever we were doing before is over. Stay the f**k away from me or there will be consequences that you will regret," I said,

"What?"

"You heard me," I said, and I walked away. It was time for me to head to the Eclipse Bar to see Elara.

I watched her from afar. She was the most beautiful woman in the world. Before she started they had the girls wearing short black skirt and red button-up tops but I changed that. There was no way I was going to let Elara wear that. Now the uniform was black pants and a black T-shirt.

I was so upset when one of my pack members told her that she was supposed to serve him. I quickly walked over there. I mind linked him and let him know he f****d up. I didn't mean to tell him that she was my mate, but it just came out. I had the guards kick him out and told them to give him a good ass whooping before firing the old manager. After that, I had Elara meet me in my office.

I wasn't planning on offering her three times the salary or making her my assistant, but I honestly didn't want her to be Chloe's assistant. I was sure she would mistreat her if I let that happen. I was so happy when she accepted my offer.

When I got home, I called Mark to my office. "What's up?" Mark asked

"Elara has accepted the job offer, and she and her sister will be moving in tomorrow," I said

"What? She agreed to be Chloe's assistant after everything," Mark asked

"No, she will be my assistant," I said
