Elara's Point of View
"Why did you help me. I am sure you don't help everyone the way you helped me. I am not a slut. I would never..."
"Elara, I know you are not a slut. I helped you because I wanted to. I promise i don't have any ulterior motives," Kyle said
"Are you sure? Because I would never sleep with someone to get ahead," I said
"I know, and yes, I am sure," Kyle said
"Oh, okay," I said
"How about we head to the office?" Kyle said
"Alright."
Everyone stared as we passed. Some greeted Kyle and he would just give them a head nod. "This is where you will be working." We were in Kyle's office. There was a desk in the corner for me to work at.
"You mean I will be sharing your office?" I asked
"Yeah, is that a problem?" Kyle asked
"Did your other assistant share an office with you?" I asked
"I have never had a personal assistant before. I have a secretary and admin that work for me, but you are the only Personal Assistant I have had," Kyle said
"Then why did you hire me as a Personal Assistant if you have never needed one before?" I asked, confused.
"Because I need one now and I know that you will make a great personal assistant," Kyle replied as he looked into my eyes. I don't know how long we were staring at each other. I knew I couldn't look away. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, causing us to look away from each other. Kyle moved back and shook his head as if he was trying to get it together.
"Come in," Kyle said, and a woman who looked to be in her early twenties walked into the room. She had on a red button up shirt and a short black skirt. She had two of the buttons undone, and I could see her black bra.
"Good morning, Sir. Here are the documents you requested," The woman said, and then she put the folder on his desk. I didn't miss the way she leaned down as she did it so that he could look at her bra. I was shocked when I saw that he didn't seem to be paying her no mind. It also made me feel happy that he didn't seem to be interested in her body.
"Thank you, Chloe," Kyle said
"Is there anything else you need from me?" Chloe asked
"No, that is all. You can go back to your desk now," Kyle said
"Um, okay. If you need anything else just let me know," Chloe said and she turned to leave.
"Oh, and Chloe" Kyle said, causing Chloe to turn around.
"Yes."
"You will not be going with me to the meeting today, Elara will. She will actually be the one I take to the meetings from now on," Kyle said and Chloe started to glare at me. It was obvious she was upset
"Yes, Mr. Black," Chloe said and she walked away. Kyle walked over to his desk and sat. He looked up at me
"Yes," Kyle said
"Um, what do you want me to do?" I asked
"Just sit at your desk for now and answer the phone if it rings," Kyle said
"Um, okay," I said and I sat at my desk. The first part of the day I was basically sitting at the desk. The phone never rang. I watched as Kyle worked. I asked him a few times if he needed me to do anything but he told me he didn't. He told me to just stay at my desk.
"Elara, Elara." I opened my eyes to see Kyle standing in front of me. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep," I said
"It's alright. It's lunch time. I am sure you are hungry," Kyle said and my stomach growled at that moment causing me to blush. Kyle let out a chuckle before speaking
"Come on. I will take you to dinner," Kyle said
"Okay," I replied and we left the office. Just like when we arrived everyone we passed was staring at us. Once we got to his car I got in the passenger's seat while he got in the driver's. He leaned over toward me and at first I thought he was going to kiss me. My heart started to beat faster than normal. I was shocked we he pulled my seatbelt over me and buckled it.
"Let's go," Kyle said and he started the car and took off.
"We are going here?" I asked as we arrived to a luxury steakhouse restaurant. It was one of those restaurant rich people went to.
"Is that a problem?" Kyle asked
"I am not the type of person to go to a place like this," I said
"I don't see why not. Come on. I am sure you will like it," Kyle said. We got out of the car and he gave the keys to the Valet.
"Hello, Mr. Black. Would you like the same room," a lady said who was standing at the front
"Yes," Kyle said and we followed the lady to a private room.
"Can I take your drink orders?" The waitress asked as she put a menu in front of both of us.
"Yes, I will have a coke and what would you like Elara?" Kyle asked
"Water is fine," I said.
"I will be back to take your orders in a moment," The lady said and she left.
"So what do you think about the job?" Kyle asked
"Honestly, I haven't really done anything but sit down and watch you work," I replied
"It is your first day. You will do more in the future. There is a business dinner tonight. You will be coming with me. My sister will stay with Clara," Kyle said
"Are you sure she won't mind?" I asked
"She won't. She lies you and Clara," Kyle said
