Thea's POV  "Mac, I am pretty sure I don't need your money or for you to be her. Liam is taking care of me. I know you are worried but I promise. I will come home. Believe me. Now gotta hang up. I am Liam's office, need to drop his phone.", I scurried towards the receptionist still clutching to my phone. "Rose, I am not done with this talk but take care." "Sure", I cut the call without bothering to bid goodbye and flashed my sincere smile to the receptionist. "Yes, how may I help you?" Cliche blond receptionist. Not like I have any problem with blond people or anything. But she sure does have a problem with me because of the glare she is giving me. I sighed, not minding the radiating hate she gave for me. "I am here for Mr Parker, Liam Parker. Could you just-" "The Secretary? Do you have an appointment? If no then please walk  away." I did not even finish what I was going to say. This girl does have the nerve to bite me off like that.  "Excuse me, I am his friend and he left his phone behind. Just check it with him. My name is Thea." I gritted out in anger as I went away to sit at the waiting lounge.  It's not like I could not call Edward but my dear best friend had his phone protected by his damn password and I did not have Edward's phone number either leaving me with the only choice of coming here. I sighed with irritation as I noticed that blondie walking towards me with annoyed expression stuck on her face. Well, here is a piece of news you are not the only one who is annoyed. I retorted in my mind. "Mr Parker asked you to meet him in his room. It's on the tenth floor, you could ask the receptionist there for the direction," she said while rolling her eyes.  I stood and held my head high as I went towards the elevator. I wanted to show my badass side but ended up colliding with a woman who was exasperatedly waving her hands in the air while talking on her phone. Both of us cursed with the impact of the collision, making her phone to fall alongside with her handbag.  "Oh god! I am sorry. I wasn't looking, foolish me," I panicked as I picked both her phone and bag as I held my hand out to pull her up. I am so dead if she was a big fish here.  The lady surprisingly laughed and waved her hand at me. "Oh hush darling, it was me who was too busy talking on the phone. Never mind." I blushed as she looked so charming and motherly good-looking for her age. Her voice was also very smooth as she held the elegancy on her tone. I zoned out staring at her. Her booming laugh again brought me back to reality. "Gosh, sorry. Where was my manner? I am Thea and I am so sorry mam." "Never mind, darling. Have a nice day." "Sure, mam. You too. You look ravishingly young. I must say you look gorgeous." I said while blushing like a teenager. She laughed and winked as she walked away. I made my way to the tenth floor still holding the grin from the encounter. As the elevator stopped, I made my way towards the receptionist hoping that I won't have to meet any other blond b***h. Surprisingly, I was met with a warm middle-aged woman with her heartwarming smile. I happily made my way towards Liam's office and knocked on his door as I heard the familiar voice asking me to enter.  "Pumpkin, you got my phone? I was this close to death" he paused and held his index finger and thumb near "when the phone was not in my pocket." I laughed at his troubled looking face as I sat on his table, "The restaurant gave me a call saying that they found a phone on the seat, figured it would be yours or Edward's. I made a reservation so they had my number."  "You are my saviour. Truly." "Weren't I always?" I winked and giggled. That exact moment, Liam's door was opened. The guy, his boss was there staring at me. I scrunched my nose and stepped down from the table. He cleared his throat and turned his gaze towards Liam. "Liam, I'm heading home. Just cancel all the remaining meetings."  "Alright." I dropped my head and gazed at the floor waiting for him to just be gone. His stares were just intimidating and annoyingly demanding. I let out my breath that I did not even realize I was holding in for the whole time. Liam gave me a look as I turned towards him. I shrugged it off as my eyes involuntarily went back to the place that guy was standing before.
