"How many minutes would I have to wait for you to shower before putting on your dress," Kane Walker shouted to his wife, Veronica Walker in the bathroom, playfully.
"I have to look my best and also scent good, baby," she echoed back to him.
"You have bathed three times today already, you already look your best honey." Kane expressed.
"Just go find something else to do," she told him.
Veronica was the boss, she was his queen. Whatever she said was to be done.
"Okay baby," Kane answered. "Just be done by the time I get back please." He exited the room with his car keys in his possession.
They were preparing to attend The Fiftieth Anniversary of Walker Cooperation.
"Thank you love," Veronica had said before Kane Walker left the room.
His father was to properly introduce him to everyone as his heir. Kane was honored and he couldn't wait to get there. He put on the most expensive suit he had and also his most expensive shoes.
He got outside to steam his car, it was then he heard some commotions at the gate.
"Let me in!" A feminine voice gingered.
"I can't let you in just like that," That was the voice of his security man at the gate.
He rushed to see what the commotion was about.
"Susan?" He was shocked to see the woman piloting the chaotic atmosphere.
"It's okay, it's okay," he restricted the security man from making any more contact with her.
Before she could start he said to her:
"Can we go over there?" This meant where his car was parked.
"What are you doing here?" Kane wore a distraught face as he inquired about the lady, Susan.
"Are you really asking me that?" She responded rather harshly, in a high tone.
"Please be calm," he beckoned to her. "My wife is inside, she could be out any time soon."
Was his plea received well? No, the woman he referred to as Susan kept talking to him with a high pitched voice.
"Do you need money?" Kane asked in a trembling voice. "I can quickly arrange that for you." He tried to calm her down but it was to no avail.
"Why have you refused to pick my calls and to respond to any of my texts?" She confronted him with her reason for being there.
"I was extremely busy with so many things," he explained.
"So many things like getting married?" She questioned him and then hissed a sigh.
Kane was more concerned about Veronica coming to meet the situation than he was concerned about his security man eavesdropping. Yeah, he would just fire him later.
"Hold on," he told her and ran toward his car. He brought a cheque with him:
"How much do you need right now?"
"I want you to own up to your responsibility, to our son, your heir." Susan's voice was a bit over the mark. Kane was sure that his security man overhead her.
"Susan, listen to me," Kane begged with sweat already greasing his entire body. He wished he could just order her to be thrown out but he knew Susan very well. She was just going to wait outside his gate and create a scene when she sees Veronica with him.
He wondered how she got to know that he'll be heading out that day. His affairs were kept private and confidential, he wondered.
"I want you to publicly accept your son," she demanded as the only thing she wanted.
How could he if he wanted to save his reputation? He met her at a nightclub where she was at the service of everyone with something that wet her appetite, something like money.
Kabe was in a relationship with her for about six months, he was even embarrassed to say that to anyone.
"I'll make it up to you I promise," he pleaded but she demanded that he make her child with him public and accepted.
"I'll come see you when I get back," he tried to strike a bargain but she refused to it.
"I won't ask you again," she told him. "The picture I sent to your house was just a little warning which you didn't take Seriously."
"Just please, I'll acknowledge our son later," Kane said.
"What son?" A voice from behind him said. "Tell me, what son are you both talking about?" It was Veronica.
"I'll explain everything to you Veronica," Kane gestured a plea with his hands. "Susan, can you please leave?" Kane asked her.
It was only now that Susan accepted to leave, after wrecking havoc. "It does not end here," she threatened before leaving the mansion.
"What was she talking about?" Veronica was calm when she asked.
"You see, she's just a crazy person."
"I said what was she talking about!" Veronica screamed at him.
Henry was choked, he had no excuse to give, he was totally caught up in his secret, in his lie.
"Hold on," Veronica seemingly remembered something. "That picture of a boy the other day, it wasn't yours right?" She figured it out.
"I can explain everything to you, just please listen to me."
Kane had gotten serious from the first day he saw Veronica, even without him knowing. He didn't want to ever lose her. He tried to calm her down but she kept demanding from him:
"Please tell me the truth," She was almost in tears, it showed how hurt she was.
"I do have a son, Veronica," Kane confessed.
Veronica staggered a bit, the tears flowing from her eyes began to ruin her makeup.
"Do not touch me," she pushed Kane's hands off her when he attempted to touch her.
"I promise you babe, it was a long time ago."
Veronica was not buying that from him, she moved further away from him any time he tried to get close to her.
"I hate you! I have you Kane!" She screamed at him, crying. Then she ran into the house.
Will the coming to light of Kane's secret baby end whatever he shared with Veronica?
