Prologue
My name is Anna Jones, and I'm a famous writer, a radio host, and a blogger.
I write about women; I support them; I give them motivation in life; and I never rely on men's support.
I grew up in a wealthy family in New York, but not with loving parents. My father was a cold-hearted and cruel man. He abused my mother in mentally and physically abusive ways.
He forced her to quit her career as a ballerina to be a house-wife.
And as the years went by, my mother became shallow; she barely spoke and ate; she neglected me; and I was raised by the nanny and household servants.
One day she ran away from the house and left me with my father, and since that, my father has become an alcoholic, and his behavior has become more aggressive towards me.
I was living in hell every day until I graduated from high school and headed off to college with a scholarship. I majored in literature and art, and aside from studying, I worked part-time jobs as a waitress and bartender.
After 3 years, I graduated from college and started to write some unsuccessful books until one day one of my books got picked up by a publishing house, became the number 1 bestseller, and got the attention of a million readers around the world.
From that day on, I became the famous Anna Jones, a famous writer and role model to many women around the world who followed my lead. From the day I left the house, I never heard of my father, and I never knew my mother wore boots.I swear from that never to rely on any man, never submit to them, and never giveyour dreams for the sake of a man.
Relationships are not my thing. I only do casual things; I'm a one-night-stand kind of girl until my life is changed by a man named Liam Martinez.
My name is Liam Martinez, and I'm the sole heir to Martinez Industries. I'm getting married to the love of my life next month, and my life has never been better than that until two days before the wedding, when my dear fiancee left a voicemail saying that she lost the courage to face me with the decision she made. She said that she couldn't marry me and let go of her dream to become a famous supermodel.
She loves me, but her dreams are bigger than marriage and having a family; she's not ready yet, and thanks to the famous Anna Jones's advice, she's opened her mind and heart to what she really wants.
I can't believe she broke my heart. I never imagined that she would choose her work over me. She humiliated and shamed me. I can't look at my family, my friends, and my employees without seeing the pity in their eyes.
I locked myself in my penthouse, shutting my family and friends out. I drowned my sorrow in alcohol, parting, and hooking up with random girls.
I hate her. I hate Anna Jones; she ruined my happiness. If it weren't for her, I would be a married man by now and spending my honeymoon with my lovely wife.
I swear with my life that I will hunt you down, Anna Jones, make you miserable, and make sure you pay for what you did to my life.
