Chapter 5:

Leila pov

Finally after 2 weeks my body has healed up completely and my mom is wanting a makeup party for the one I missed the day of graduation, but I didn't see the need in having one. We have a party anyways because you can't argue with mom. Within 2 days my mom had put together a huge party celebrating my graduation. I look around at everyone laughing and dancing. The whole pack had been invited and some of them were outside enjoying the sun and each other and others were inside the Packhouse. I walk to the bar and order a drink. Taylor, Morgan, Aries and Alaia all come bouncing over to me smiling. I look at them as I grab my drink “I don’t like those looks you girls have” I laugh softly and take a sip of my drink. Alaia grins “so we are thinking of sneaking out and going out for the night Xander said he was ok with it and we wanted to know if you wanted to come along maybe some drinks, bowling and then hit up a club afterwards” I laugh softly and roll my eyes “my mom would kill me if I skipped out on the party…...but a girls night sounds amazing so give me 5 minutes to change and I will be right down” the girls all squeal with excitement and I race to my room to change then we all head out taking Taylor’s car.

As planned we head into the city and first get a few drinks at a local bar not like they will do much. We are wolves and our alcohol is way stronger than normal alcohol but we did it because we were having fun. After about an hour of drinking we headed to the local bowling alley we loved to bowl because all of us were competitive. We liked to get our own alleys and show off. We had been about 4 games in when I stop and look around smelling the best smell of my life. It smelled like outside after a rainstorm on a summer day and it was incredible. I drop my ball and look around for where the smell was coming from. Alaia walks over “Leila what’s wrong” she whispers, “mate” I whisper Serena had been stirring yelling at me to go find him so I push past the girls who were now in front of me and follow the scent. I follow it all the way to the snack area where I find a man sitting at a table staring at his drink. He was tall and muscular with beautiful brown curls that just made me want to run my fingers through them his eyes were a deep shade of blue and his lips were kissable to say the least but his scent wasn’t human….or wolf so what was he…..didn’t matter I had found my mate.

My mate must have sensed me because he looks up at me and we lock eyes. Suddenly he stands and walks over to me. He was taller than me by at least 6 inches. I mean I was already 5’9” and this man stood over me at around 6' 3''. I stare at him in awe wanting to commit every muscle of his to memory as I scanned his body. My eyes wandered and then met his gaze again he looks at me as if trying to figure me out all I could say was “hi” he lifts an eyebrow and slowly puts his hand under my chin to make me look at him more the sparks we both felt were everything I was told and more I begin to grow wet for this man…..my mate. He leans in and whispers dangerously close to my ear “how about we go somewhere prive little wolf” I glup and nod he takes my hand and leads me away towards a back room usually used for parties. As soon as we walk in he closes and locks the door then his lips are on mine in an instant I couldn’t help but grab his hair and moan into the kiss. He pulls away and moves down to my neck where he kisses my marking spot I whimper as he pulls away he chuckles “I never thought I would ever find my fated one yet here you are a beautiful goddess” he says looking at me I smile “and you have no idea how long I have been waiting for you” I whisper my lips swollen from the kiss he takes my hand and kisses it “Blake Jackson” he says in the most charming southern voice you could ever hear I blush and smile “Leila Black” I say and like that this man was my world.

We fought the urge to mark each other right there and then but instead we sat and talked, learning more about each other I felt I could tell him everything so I did and he told me his life. He was born in 1864 to loving parents and 2 wonderful sisters but at the age of 21 he got deathly sick and was dying then a man named Laurence came and turned him into what he is today…..a vampire. At first it scared me to learn my mate was an actual vampire but I didn’t care, he was perfect and I would thank the moon goddess for him till the day I died. After a while I felt a mindlink trying to come through I didn’t realize I had put a block up so I check to see who was mindlinking me “girl where the h*ll are you? You have been gor for 2 hours, we are getting worried!” Alaia says I laugh softly “sorry Alaia I am in the back party room you guys need to come I have to show you something”  I say and felt her close her link and knew they were coming I look at Blake as he stands there staring at me in awe “What” I smile he grabs my hands and pulls me up from my seat “you are so beautiful” he whispers and kisses my lips gently I kiss back then growl as a knock comes on the door he laughs “easy little wolf” he kisses my nose and opens the door. On the other side as the girls are all talking. They stop and stare at Blake as if he were a shiny new toy. I growl and pull him back “mine” I glare at them Alaia gasps and squeals “you found your mate!!” I smile and nod “I did everyone this is Blake, Blake this is Aries, Morgan, Taylor and my luna  and sister in law Alaia” he bows his head as I say my luna “pleasure to meet you ladies sorry I stole Leila we were just getting to know each other better Alaia sniffs the air I roll my eyes “not that way I am not doing it in a public area for my first time nasty” I laugh Blake lifts an eyebrow I kiss his cheek “she was checking to see if we mated” I whisper he chuckles “oh no I have far more respect for my little wolf if I was to make her mine it will be in a bed somewhere private.”

We all leave and head to the nearest club where the girls drink and dance the night away but I sit in a booth with Blake enjoying his company. I smile as he takes my hand in his lacing our fingers together. I look up at him smiling. In that moment nothing else mattered and it felt like no one else was around us Serena purred happily in my head as we cuddled out mate. A Month passes and I convince Xander to allow Blake on the pack grounds to finally meet him as my brother and my alpha. I felt it was important Blake met him, he finally agrees and I bring him home for dinner one night. I am driving in my new car from picking him up at his hotel and he looks over at me “what if he doesn’t approve of us?” Blake asks I frown “I mean we are mates he knows that even if he doesn't approve he knows that nothing will tear us apart unless one of us rejects each other before we mark each other” I say and look over at him before back at the road. I take his hand and smile “don’t worry he isn’t all big and bad as you think he is a softy” I smile and we pull up to pack grounds. I stop as 4 wolves walk over to my car. I feel Blake tense a little. I roll my window down and talk with one of the warriors, Jackson who mindlinks Xander to get an ok to allow Blake on pack grounds. Once he has been okayed to come in I drive up to the Packhouse where everyone is waiting for us outside. I look at Blake and smile “ready to meet the family?” he nods and kisses me “I am as long as you are ready to show me off” I roll my eyes and laugh. We get out of the car and I walk over taking his hand in mine. We walk up to everyone and I look at them. “Everyone this is my mate Blake” I smile at him “Blake this is everyone that is my brother and alpha Xander and of course you have met Alaia, Taylor, Morgan,and Aries” Blake Shakes Xander’s hand in respect “thank you for allowing me to meet you Alpha Xander” Xander nods “I am glad to meet you Blake now I have one thing if you ever hurt my sister you have the biggest pack in the world to worry about understood” Blake nods “yes sir but I would never hurt my little wolf” he smiles at me I blush happily then introduce him to everyone else he got possessive over me when I introduced Matt and Kade as we have been best friends forever but I assured him they both had mates whom they were married to and were no threat to him.

We all sit down and have dinner together then we move to the common room and laugh and talk mostly Xan trying to embarrass me telling stories about me as a younger child I laugh and shake my head “umm…...no if I remember correctly you, Matt, and Kade did that prank on Mr. Jones it wasn’t me but I took the blame because dad threatened your alpha title if you kept up your shenanigans” I laugh and smile he puts his hands up in defeat then his eyes cloud over he was being mindlinked we all went quiet. After a bit he growls and looks at me I look at him “what happened?” he stands “the alpha from the death moon pack is here with his wife and children asking for you” he says looks at me I frown “the death moon pack why would they be here….and asking for me I don’t know anyone from there especially the alpha and his family” “come let's see what they want” he says I nod and we head down Blake holds my hand he wasn’t going to leave my side for one moment.
