15. Sorry I’m an anti romantic

788 Words
“Why are we in a f*****g plane?” Chiara asked glaring at Scarlet on the other side. She was securely strapped with a seat belt just as her and dressed in a black overall covering their clothes — along with goggles and a helmet. “Isn’t it obvious?” Scarlet smiled. “No it is not.” Chiara shook her head tightening her grip on the crossed seat belt. “I guess I have to explain.” she pouted. “Please do fast!” the woman hissed squeezing her eyes shut as the plane rattled a bit. She was a bit confused as to why the woman hadn’t relaxed at all, pursing her lips she held back from laughing. “Wait are you afraid of heights?” “Forgive me for not being so enthusiastic about this exciting opportunity of a lifetime!” Mrs Brown shouted still glaring at the girl. “Well your — you’re being sarcastic right now?” she glared letting her cheerful face frown. “I am not the one who dragged a friend up in the air without asking. I did not consent!” “Your fear is going to make this exciting!” Scarlet squealed almost jumping out her seat, luckily the seat belt kept her in place. “Really?” she asked weakly glancing around the empty seats beside them. The only people in the plane where her, scarlet and the pilot friend of Scarlet. “Yes really because we are going skydiving!” she announced with exciting, even more than before as colour drained from the woman’s face. She snapped her head back to Scarlet. “Hell no!” “Hell yes!” agreed Scarlet with a vigorous head nod and a wide smile on her face. She wasn’t getting out of this, not because she was probably 14,000 feet in the air — technically had no where to go. But Scarlet wasn’t going to let her go with. “Why?” she simply sighed. “It is your birthday surprise!” the younger girl squealed wiggling her eyebrows. “I would like a refund!” she grabbed her seat belt securely as the plane rattled again, she was probably going to die of a heart attack at 40 at this rate. “Not happening, plus we are almost at the drop zone my birthday girl and my birthday is the best — not even your husband would top this shit.” “Could you have been more romantic! Take me to the beach or something not so deadly?” she urged taking deep breaths in and out. “This is romantic. If I remember correctly I watched a telenovela ‘My heart beats for Lola’, this was romantic.” Scarlet stated with a firm tone and a serious face. “This is murder!” Shrugging her shoulders she sighed rather exaggerated. “Then sorry I’m an anti romantic, mad person.” “Mad you are—” cutting herself off she glance at Scarlet unbuckling her seat belt. She stood taking a black parachute off the seat beside her, and securing it on her back. “What the f**k are you doing?” Chiara hissed. If she remembered correctly they were supposed to stay seated until told to stand. “Checking if our parachute is good to go — come here.” she spoke with a smile. “Why?” “We are dropping together, I don’t want to go unconscious in the air. You will be safe with me.” Scarlet mumbled as she secured the straps around Chiara, her back pressed against her front. She was an inch or more shorter compared to Scarlet without her heels, and that made it simpler as Scarlet had experience in this adrenaline world. “The only caring thing you did today.” Chiara whispered. Scoffing she let her arms moving from her waist to her side, everything was all ready. “Oh come on! Really?” “We are at the drop zone Scarlet!” Glancing over to the female pilot at the front she smiled. “See you on the ground Marshall!” turning her gaze to Chiara who looked drained staring at the point door. “Are you ready?” she teased. “Hell no!” Scarlet let out a mischievous laugh, grabbing the seat belt straps she pulled them closer to the open, despite Chiara’s body trying to resist. “We are still jumping!” with one more step she pushed them out the safety of the plane. Feeling the wind slap rather roughing on her face, Scarlet cheered loudly out masking Chiara’s worried screams — free falling was the best part of skydiving for her.
