Jace and Tobi left me and Kelly behind because they had pack business to attend to. There had been a breach at the border, and a young she-wolf named Nicole had been taken. Her family was hysterical. Jace was stressed, and I knew the inevitable was coming—we would have to return to the packhouse.
Kelly had been here for a week, but she was heading back to her pack today. She had grown fond of Jace, especially after seeing the way he treated me. She gently encouraged me to let him mate and mark me. I had thought about it a lot. I was ready. I was ready to be his—100%.
I said my goodbyes to my sister as she left, and Shelley and I packed the rest of my belongings. Jace had already arranged for everything to be moved to the packhouse.
