Hunted

I was still asleep when Dylan shows up to take Blaine and me to school, I end up running around like a madwoman throwing on a white sundress finally I am ready and as I head downstairs where the boys are waiting I see them laughing at me.  "What's so funny," 

" We were just wondering if you really wanted to wear your bunny slippers to school," Dylan blurts out as he laughs harder. Oh my god, could this day get any worse I tell myself as I head upstairs to grab a pair of flats, turn around and run back downstairs. "Is this any better guys," I ask sarcastically? "Much better," 

We make it to school just as the bell rings for the first period to begin, I kiss Dylan and head off to class. "Hey, where have you been, making out with Dylan again," Cassie inquires. "No I wasn't, I just got up late. But he is taking me home after school so there is still time for us to hook up then," I say with a wink. "That reminds me Blaine asked me to meet him in front of the school at lunch, wonder what he wants," I just look at her and wink, as Ms. Hopkins starts her lesson for the day. The day goes by slowly and soon it's lunchtime. As Cassie goes to meet Blaine in front of the school I go to the lunchroom to meet up with Dylan. 

" Hi babe how's your day going," 

" It's going good so far, and I've got some news, Blaine asked Cassie to meet him in front of the school. I wonder if he is finally going to tell her that he likes her," 

" Really that would be great so I could have more time with you,"   

I leaned over and gave him a kiss. When our lunch period was over we headed to finish our day. Finally, school is over, now I can find Cassie to see what happened with Blaine. I finally catch up to Cassie at her car holding hands with Blaine. “ Hi guys," I say as I walk up to them. "Hi Kiera," They say. I see Dylan walking up as we are talking, I go over to him and I see Aidan staring at us across the street at the convenience store. "Ok babe it's time to get you home," Dylan implied. "I agree with you. I also need to call my mom to let her know," I advised. As we head to Dylan's car we tell Blaine that his dad is across the street and that we were heading to my house. "Cassie, you can follow us over in your car if you want to come over," I offer. "Yea, Blaine you can ride with me if you want," Cassie offers. Blaine gets into Cassie's car as she starts it up and follows us to my house. Aidan stares at us as we drive past him at the convenience store, as I turn around I see him get into his car then pull in behind Cassie and Blaine. "Dylan, he is right behind Cassie and Blaine. What are we going to do," I exclaim. 

"First you need to call your mom, then you need to put a protection spell on Cassie's car," Dylan says calmly. I bend down and grab my phone out of my purse then speed dial mom. "Mom you need to help us," I scream when she answers the phone, "Aidan is following behind Cassie and Blaine, he was watching us after school across the street at the gas station, now he is following us," 

"Ok hunny calm down I am not too far away from you," Mom says trying to calm me down, but it wasn't working until I saw her lights as she pulls in behind Aidan. Dylan continues driving to my house, as we pull up I see Cassie and Blaine looking scared as they pull in beside us. Before any of us say a word we walk up to the front door as I let us in and lock the door. All the while I am thinking I'm glad I didn't have to do a protection spell considering I have only done small ones. "Ok somebody better tell me what the heck is going on," Cassie screams looking from me to Dylan and Blaine because some crazy driver tried to run us off the road, I end up in on the side of the road then I see your mom Kiera speed in behind the guy and all of a sudden all his tires go flat at once before she even got out of her car and I know she didn't have time to put out any spike strips for him to hit," 

"I'll tell you, Cassie my dad is trying to kill Kiera and her mom, that's also the reason I'm staying here with them and because I wouldn't help him so he beat me," Blaine explains to Cassie. I walk into the kitchen to call my mom to see if she is ok and to see if they caught Aidan, but she never answers her phone. I'm dialing again as Dylan enters the room. "Is she ok," He asks. I shrug as I hold the phone up to my ear to listen for her voice on the other end, but after five rings I hang up with a huff. " No she's not picking up and I'm seriously worried about her, I need to go find her," I say as I turn to pick up my purse off the table and start heading out the front door. "Hang on you know your mom doesn't want you to go out alone, just hang on I'll take you," Dylan orders. 

He goes back into the house to tell Cassie and Blaine to stay there that he is taking me to see if my mom is ok, turns, and heads back out and we climb into the car. As we drive by the spot where mom blew the tires out of Aidan's car all we see is his car on the side of the road. I continue to the police station where I'm hoping mom will be. We pull in front of the station and walk up to the front desk. " 

"Hi is my mom here," I ask Officer Layla as she looks up from her computer. "Hi Kiera,” She says as she turns around and says. "Shannon your daughter wants to see you," Mom comes over to us and motions for us to follow her outside. "Why didn't you answer your phone," I ask her. " I'm sorry my phone died. I forgot to put it on the charger," She says and hugs me."I'm ok except Aidan got away. We think he went down a manhole. We got men down there right now looking for him. Are Blaine and Cassie ok, " 

"Yea they're ok, a little shaken up but they're ok and at our house right now," 

"Ok good, I guess you need to tell Cassie our little secret so she can understand what's going on," 

"Yes mam, are you coming home soon," 

"I was fixing to head that way when you showed up, so I'll follow you guys back," 

We make it back to the house Blaine and Cassie are sitting in the dark talking quietly as we walk in. Cassie stands up with tears in her eyes " Please tell me what's going on?" She says. "Your right, you deserve to know," I tell her gesturing for her to sit back down. Mom and the guy's head off into the kitchen so we can have some privacy as I tell her my secret. "Did Blaine mention to you that his dad was trying to kill my mom and me," 

"Yea, but he didn't mention why, he said it wasn't his secret to tell me," 

"Cassie my mom and I are magical witches, we can make things happen when we say a spell, like those tires on Aidan's car mom did that with a spell. That's why Aidan wants us dead because he is a witch hunter, he kills witches," I reach out and touch her arm when all of a sudden I hear what sounds like an alarm going off just as mom and Dylan run into the living room. "What is that noise Cassie asks sounds like an alarm going off," 

"Really you hear that too," I ask as I look at her in disbelief. 

"Yes I do, what's the big deal your alarm is going off," 

Mom looks at me then at Blaine. "Blaine, did you hear anything," 

"No, I don't. I was wondering why you guys ran in here, now Cassie is hearing alarms that nobody else does," I look at mom and she looks back at me, I just shake my head in agreement. I sit back down next to Cassie and look straight at her wondering how she is going to take the news. "Sweetie my mom put an alarm spell on the perimeter of our property to warn us when Aidan is near, and the only people that can hear this alarm when it goes off is blood witches, non-magical ones can hear it like Blaine," She looks at me with wild eyes then all of a sudden starts screaming and freaking out that I can't figure out what she is saying. All I make out of her rambling is two words "not a witch". Mom walks up behind her, puts her hand on the back of her head, whispers some words and Cassie just falls into my mom's arms as I stand there in awe. " What did you do to her," Blaine exclaims. "I just put her to sleep for a little bit so we can figure out where your dad is, she is perfectly fine," Mom assures him. We hear a car pulling up as mom, Dylan and I head outside to see if we can find Aidan since the alarm is still going off. Lilith gets out of the car. "I heard the alarm going off over here so I came straight over," 

"Thanks so much, you can go with Dylan to the east side of the property while Kiera and I check the west side and we will meet back here sound good to you," Mom says to Lilith. " Sounds good," She says as she and Dylan head to the front of the property line on the east side and head to the back of the property while mom and I start at the back of the property on the west side then head to the front. As we start the alarm suddenly stops as it began. We meet up at the house as Cassie is waking up. "Hey what happened did I fall asleep? And thank god, that alarm sound stopped," She says. I just walk over to her and give her a big hug.
