Family Ties

How is it that school seems to last forever nowadays and the weekends seem to fly by. Mom and Lilith have been acting a lot like sisters lately which is getting seriously creepy,but I'm glad she has at least one friend she can turn to. Any way mom is tickled that they got the new police station built she was saying if they didn't get it built soon that she was going to help them get it done faster, wonder if its because of the mayor hitting on her, but it doesn't matter she's been dating the County Sheriff for a while now. Also Lilith starts working on her house today she plans on doing it while everyone's gone to work during the week so they can't tell she magically made it appear so she's going to be doing parts which she thinks will take a week and order new furniture for the entire house. The good thing is that their garden wasn't burnt so they don't have to start over on that.

     I got a call from dad that afternoon saying he is coming for a visit which is really weird. This is going to be his first visit since he and mom divorced, I wonder if it is really to see us or to see his other daughter. I tried to act excited about his visit while I was on the phone,but I'm really not. I have enough things going on that I don't need him poking around. Mom and Elisi weren't happy to hear the news either. Mom's thinking that he is jealous because she is dating again and wants to meet him, while Elisi just isn't happy about it since he broke her only daughter's heart. All I know is I can't let him anywhere around Caylan period. Which leads me to have to stop practicing my powers for a whole week, this isn't going to be good. Now with the circles he knew we practiced witchcraft but he didn't know that we are real blood witches with powers, let alone what he would do if Elisi manifested in front of him, we would be probably calling for an ambulance. Oh no then he will want to meet Dylan oh goddess my life is going to be turned upside down please watch over my family in our time of need I think we're going to need it.

                                                                                    Mohani                                                                                      It was late in the afternoon on Friday when dad showed up in his rental car I guess mom gave him directions to the house so she wouldn't have to go pick him up. I heard the alarm going off that warns us about somebody on our property so I went to the front door what was surprising is not the fact that he was in a little sports car it was the fact of who his passenger was Caylan. I slammed the door shut because I knew I would be covered in witch fire. I yelled at mom to answer the door as I made my way to my sacred spot in the woods. 

    Mom walks over an answers the door and as soon as she opened it up she knew why I flew out of the house "Hi, Adam what are you doing bringing this little witch to my house?" 

"Witch that's rich coming from you!" Caylan scoffed.

"Shannon calm down Caylan's just dropping me off she picked me up from the airport since you wouldn't." Dad bellowed.

"Ok let me just make it easy for all of us, Caylan get off my property or I'll have you arrested for trespassing." Mom orders.

Caylan just rolls her eyes and snorts then turns and walks back to her car before she gets in she yells "I'll see you later dad" starts the engine and pills out of the driveway. "So that's how you treat your guests now days Shannon?" Dad pops off.

But before mom could answer I finally calm down enough that I could return "Only if it's somebody that's wanting us dead." I reply hotly. "Dad I don't understand how you could bring her here I've told you she's been hurting my friends and their families, also how she feels about mom and I,"

"I know what you said but I've also been talking to her on the phone and she saying that since you found out she was your sister you've stopped being friends with her and turned all her friends against her." Dad advises. "Half-sister." I clarify. "And how the hell did she get your number it's unlisted,"

"She said she got it from you Kiera," He answered. Before I get any more upset I excused myself and head up to my room leaving my dad with a stunned look upon his face. Mom just laughs at him. "Things have changed, and she wasn't lying that girl you call your daughter, the one you said you wouldn't claim is out to kill our daughter," Mom declared. "Why would she want to kill Kiera that just doesn't make sense Shannon," Dad breathed. As I was coming back down the stairs I had heard dads question so I sent mom a mental message saying "We should just go ahead and tell him," Mom looks toward me and nods her head in acceptance. Hoping it didn't freak him out to bad I sent dad a message. "Because dad, mom and I are blood witches and Caylan is a witch hunter," Dad jump off the couch holding his head turns around looking at me with his eyes so wide I was sure they were going to pop right out of his head. "What the hell," He screams. "Was that,"

"It's just one of my powers," I say. "I can send messages to whomever I want just by thinking,"

Dad looks over at my mom. "Can you do that to," He asks her.

"No I can't do that Adam our little girl is more powerful than any witch I've ever seen,she is what our prophecy calls The Cosanto`ir or The Protector," Mom explains.

While mom is explaining all of that to my dad I just feel a sense of pride at how she describes me as ."The most powerful witch she has ever seen,"

"So if your a witch and Kiera is a witch that means that..." Before dad could finish Elisi interrupts him by saying. "Yes Adam I am one to all the women in my family are witches," As she manifests beside mom who is now standing in front of the couch where dad is sitting. And once again he jumps up and over the couch scared out of his wits,where he just stutters incoherent words then passes smooth out on our living room floor. Well since Dylan was with his mom working on the house and mom or I could pick up my dad the normal way I decide to see if I could pick him up using my powers. I close my eyes an start my power chant I then hold my hands over dads body as I raise my arms up he raises up off the floor slowly I move my hands over towards the couch and lay him down gently onto it. Right around that time Lilith and Dylan come into the house to see my dad passed out on the couch. "I see we missed some excitement," Dylan declares.

"Just a little," Mom says. "Elisi just scared Adam that all," 

With that mom and I start laughing while Lilith and Dylan stand there with a questioning look upon their faces. When I catch my breath I sit on the floor in front of my dad and gently wake him up. "Mmmph what happened," He asks. "Well dad you kind of passed out." I explained to him. He sits up on the couch shaking his head trying to understand what we had told him. When he finally looks up he notices two new people have entered the room since he passed out."I'm sorry to be so rude." He says as he shakily stands up and holds out his hand toward Lilith." I'm Adam Kiera's father," Dylan looks over at me and winks when his mom introduces them. "Nice to meet you Adam my name is Lilith Green and this is Dylan my son," She says, shaking dad's hand."Please don't tell me you're a witch to," Dad asked jokingly. "As a matter of fact I am and so is Dylan. I am also the High Priestess of our coven, Lilith answers matter of factly.

Dad automatically stops that conversation then turns his attention to Dylan so I make my way over to where he is standing. "So you must be the Dylan that's dating my daughter," Dad bellowed. "Yes sir I am it's nice to finally meet you," Dylan admitted. I hear dad thinking about asking how he could be a witch if he was a man but he leaves it alone not wanting to upset Lilith. I take it that he likes her which is funny. "So dad I was hoping I could show you what else I can do. How about it," I pleaded. "Yea sure as long as you don't send me any more messages to my head ok LadyBug," Dad implored. Everybody chuckles after he asks, "What did I say,"Dad questions. "Nothing bad Adam, it's just that we have also asked her to not send us mental messages unless it was an emergency," Dylan explains.

Dad chuckles at me when we head outside so I can show him some of the things that I have learned. Dylan sets the targets up on our new fence that mom and I had just built. I close my eyes and start my power chant when I start feeling the little prickles in my hands I raise them and start shooting down all the targets. Dad falls out of his seat that he was sitting in with his hands over his mouth. "What was that," He asked, astonished.

"It's what we call witch fire." Mom advises him." It's usually blue but Kiera is so powerful hers emanates all over her body in a purple form,"

"Yea dude you don't want to see her mad I have and it's scary she has this purple witch fire all around her I mean it's even in her eyes," Dylan offered up. I carry on with the demonstration. I have my purple witch fire pickup one of the targets and bring it to me in a small tornado. The next thing I did was pickup Dylan and carry him over to me so I could kiss him then sat him down gently on the ground. "So what do you think dad," I ask, smiling at him. "You are something amazing," He exclaims. "Just amazing," We stay outside talking for a couple of more hours. I had asked Lilith how the circle went tonight since mom and I missed it. "Well we were a little upset that we didn't levitate this time," She teased.

"Hang on your saying my daughter can levitate a whole group," Dad asks.

"Your daughter can do a lot of amazing things that no other witch can," Lilith admits.

About ten mom drives dad over to his motel. He was a little upset that we didn't have room for him but he didn't like my idea of letting Dylan stay in my room with me and he could have his room. Saturday morning I woke up and headed over to dad's motel room except when I knocked on the door he didn't answer. I headed over to talk to the lady cleaning the room a few doors down who had said that she thought she saw him getting into a car with a young blond girl. I thank her for magically unlocking dad's door so I could have a look around his bags were still there but on the bed I found a note made out to me saying."Meet me at the lake on the night of the Blood Moon if you want your father back,"  I managed to hold my anger down and sent mom a witch message telling her "Meet me at dad's motel room Caylan had kidn*pped him," I grab dad's things and put them in my car then sit there waiting on mom feeling bad that we didn't let him stay with us. Mom shows up a little bit later and can tell that I've been crying, she pats my shoulder and heads up to the room dad was staying in. "We warned him she was dangerous obviously he didn't listen," Mom murmurs out loud but mainly to herself. "His bags are missing," She stated.

"No, not I got them and put them into my car, I wasn't going to leave them here," I admitted. "Kiera you know better than to take something from a crime scene," Mom scolded. "It's not a crime scene mom, she took him obviously by force look at the bullet hole in the pillow then read the note she left on the bed for me to find," I shouted angrily.  Mom escorted me outside to my car. "I know you're upset Kiera but you need to calm down. That's the only way we know where she is holding him," Mom orders. "Now can you figure out where she is taking him I know she said in the note to meet her at the lake but that's not where she is going first,"

I close my eyes and concentrate on Caylan but all I could hear from her is her singing so I send dad a witch message knowing it hurts him but I needed information from him. "Dad don't make a sound I know it hurts but can you see where your at or going to all you gotta do is just think and I can hear it which means I can track you," I explained to him. Just within a few minutes I hear dad's thoughts. "She has me tied up in the backseat of her car. I also have been shot in the shoulder," He says wincing. "I see a lot of trees and I hear a gravel road underneath the tires hope that helps," Mom leaned up against her car waiting on me. "Ok." I say slowly feeling a little woozie from listening to dad. "I couldn't get nothing from Caylan except her awful singing, so I talked to dad who says that she has him tied up in the backseat of her car with a bullet wound in his shoulder but from what he can make out sounds like she is taking him to one of the cabins by the lake," I inform her. "So tell your dad to let us know when she leaves we will be waiting close by," Mom orders. I do as she says and send him the message which he had no problem agreeing to he even gave a little joke about he is a soldier this is what he lives for. I let mom know and she gives the same eye roll that I did about his joke. We head back to the house and change our clothes into our outdoor gear also to pick up Lilith and Dylan who requested to come along to help.

 With Dylan driving his pickup we head in the direction of the lake but instead of heading over to the cabins we find a secluded spot where we will have a straight shot to where the cabins are located and wait for dad to tell me that she has left. I find a spot and throw a blanket down on the ground so I could lay down and relax concentrating back and forth from Caylan to dad. She keeps yelling at him about how he never did anything for her and how her adoptive dad cared more about her than he could have. She didn't believe him when he told her that her mom never told him that eved that I was able to heal him. I helped mom and Lilith put the freeze spell all the way around the property line while Dylan helped my dad inside the house. "So your the muscle of the group I take it," Dad joked. "I guess so but I don't mind it as long I'm there to make sure my three favorite ladies aren't hurt," Dylan answered. "I like that answer Dylan your ok and also thanks for saving me," Dad admitted. "Your welcome sir but I just drove the get away vehicle,"Dylan laughed. "Well anyway you help also would you please call me Adam," Dad asks. "It would be my honor sir, I mean Adam," Dylan sputters.

Mom,Lilith, and I come back inside the house a few hours later exhausted from spelling the yard, so Dylan insisted he make us a snack to build our energy up and his peach cobbler worked I felt like I was back at full power. Later on that night after everyone went to bed I was thinking about Caylan and if she had found out that dad wasn't in the cabin anymore when I tapped into her thoughts she was just pulling back up to the cabin when I hear her scream "NO!!! How the Hell did he escape," I end up laughing loud enough I woke Dylan up who was asleep on my floor which was a compromise of dads. "What so funny," Dylan asks. "Oh nothing just something I heard go back to sleep," I answer.
