Megan Sometimes

Megan I was waiting impatiently for the bell to ring. I wanted to leave the class and head back home. I wasn't able to focus today since I spent the whole day thinking of the final touches of my tree house.I was very excited to show it to Sam. Time was passing very slowly, and the last hour seemed like eternity. Finally, after the endless patience, the bell rang. My heart was racing. I quickly ran to the bus, took my seat, and waited for the bus to move. Minutes later, I arrived to the pack house. The bus pulled out, and I went down yelling, " Thank you Mr. Sabuno". I dropped my bag in front of the pack house, and rushed to the woods. "I'm back," I linked Luna, "I'm going to finish the surprise I told you about for Sam." "Be careful, dear," Luna linked back. I reached the woods, crossed the river and ran toward the trees. I couldn't wait to become 16, so that I and Sam will be able to shift and cross this long path within an eye blink. I finally arrived, climbed the tree and started working at the final touches I still had. This was my own world. I had put a lot of effort and time to build up this treehouse. Ever since my parents died, I dreamt of having this - my own space. My parents were well-known in the pack. They sacrificed everything they had to protect the pack. My mother was a white wolf. Although white wolves were rare to exist and said to be very strong and powerful, my mother couldn't save herself from death. One day, the pack was attacked by the rogues. I can still remember that day. My mom took me to the pack house and asked Luna Cassandra to protect me. She left but never came back, nor did my father. I still miss them a lot, but I have nothing left from them except their names at their sculpture in the middle of the town's Square. Cassandra had always treated me like her daughter, Sam. She and Alpha Caspian had took responsibility to raise me since my parents died. I always hear them say that it's the least thing they can do as gratitude for my parents' sacrifice. In fact, I hadn't felt I was home between them although they were so nice to me. I had always wanted to build my own independent home. But, my dream came true. Now that I had finished my tree house, I can spend plenty of time here on my own with Sam, my closest friend. Despite everything that had happened, I could still find happiness with Sam. Being the kindest person to me, I called her "sister". Today is her birthday, and I was going to show her the tree house as a gift. Then, we can play and spend the night here.
