Only half the mug is gone when his eyelids fly open, and he raises his eyebrows. “Do you hear that?” He looks from side to side. Sarah stares at him. “Hear what?” She drops the mug, holding it in front of her, and looks from one blue eye to the other. A soft grin spreads across Peter's face, and he sighs. “Her voice, I can hear it." He grabs Sarah’s shoulders, shaking her. "Where is she?” Some of the water spill from the mug. He jerks the mug from her hand, spilling what little remained. Sarah grabs Peter's hands, holding him still. “No one is there, Peter.” She puts a hand on his cheek, holding back tears. Peter blinks, looking from her to the barkeep to the empty mug. With furrowing eyebrows, Sarah sets the mug on the bar and puts a hand to Peter's heart. It dances behind his chest
