I get back to the room and hear the shower running. My little mate is here and I am going to see if she needs some help. I make sure my bedroom door is locked, tiptoe into the bathroom, getting undressed as I go, open the glass door and slide in behind her. As I reach around her body, she freezes.
I smile and nuzzle into her neck while pulling her close to me. "You really should shower with the bathroom door closed and locked if I'm not in the room with you. I could have been any unmated wolf."
She turns in my arms, "And if you were any other wolf, he would be on the floor holding his balls in his hands, crying in pain."

"Blake, before we get too carried away, we need to talk. Can you order dinner to be brought up here so we can have some time for just the two of us?"
"Yeah, you sound very serious and are making me a little nervous. Did I do something wrong?" I know she went on her run to think, but I was hoping I would have more time to convince her to stay with me.
"Blake, order the food, let's put some clothes on, and then we'll talk."
"Do you have to put clothes on?"
"Yes, but I will compromise and make it one of your shirts, if you promise to keep your hands off and let me say what I need to say without distracting me."
"Deal." Nope, no way in hell I am keeping my hands off her. I can't help it. Thor is going nuts and really wants to meet Opal and for me to mark Mandy.
I went ahead and ordered our dinner to be brought up. I mindlinked Kevin to let him know that we would not be down and that it seemed that Mandy had made up her mind and needed to talk. He wished me luck and let me know he was available if I needed to talk. He really was a great friend and Alpha.
"Blake, first, please let me get everything out and then I will let you say whatever you need to say. I don't want to lose the little bit of nerve I have to get this out."
"Mandy, say what you need to. I love you and am here for you. You are my mate and I want to be able to support you if I can." And I really did. I just hope she didn't want to leave me for any amount of time.
"First, I love you too. The comfort I feel with you is something I have never felt with anyone else. We are truly meant to be. We fit together like two puzzle pieces mind, body, and soul. I think that is why I have had such a hard time with this. When I was a little girl I never dreamed I would be mated to a ranked wolf. I figured I would be mated to a warrior. In that case I could pursue my dream and fight for the Alpha King. My mate could come with me and we could start a family a couple years later. So when I met you and we were mates, it rocked my world."
There was a knock at the door and I got up to get our dinner. I brought the tray in and took it out on my patio so we could eat and cuddle on my oversized couch. Mandy and I got comfortable and she continued.
"I am afraid that if I don't follow my dreams, I will resent you and the life we have. At the same time, I love you and want to be with you. I can't see myself with anyone else. You were made for me and I for you and that is what is killing me. I am afraid if I leave you, not only will you resent me, but we will both be in pain physically and emotionally. I don't want that for either of us. So I have decided what I want and you don't have to agree and we can take our time to talk about it. I just want you to know how I feel and what I want."
She stops to take a few bites of food and I take the opportunity to say a few words before she can stop me. "Mandy, can I say how I feel before you tell me what you want so it doesn't sound like I am reacting to what you are about to say, but how I truly feel?"
Mandy gives me a look while she is eating her food and slowly nods her head, so I continue. "I don't want you to leave. I want you to stay and be my mate and be my equal. I want to have pups and run our company and our warriors. I want to build a life with you. I understand that you had dreams, and I don't want to squash those dreams. However, I can't live without you. I want to fully mate with you and mark you. I love you and I want to start the rest of our life together."
Before Mandy could respond, I grabbed her and kissed her with all the feelings I had burning inside me. I wanted her to feel my love, anger, possessiveness, jealousy, fear, and joy. I felt all those things all at once and I thought I would explode.
Mandy kissed me back with just as much feeling. She was fighting for control. Her need for it turned me on more than I dreamed it would. Just as things started to heat up, Mandy pulled away.
She leaned her forehead against mine and took a deep breath. "Blake, you are not making this easy for me and you are not playing fair. I need more time. I am sorry. I know this is hard on you. It is not easy for me either, but I have to be sure. Please give me the week and I will have an answer at that time. I thought I knew, but your words have given me more to think about."
"I can do that if you agree to at least stay in my room with me at night. I promise to be on my best behavior. No funny business as long as I can hold you. It will be the only way I can keep Thor under control since I can't mark you. You will at least carry my scent on you and should keep other males away."
"I think I can handle that as long as Thor can control himself. I just hope Opal can control herself as well. She is a horny little devil and doesn't necessarily agree with me."
I gave Mandy a hug and kissed her. It was the most I could ask for at this time. I at least got to hold her each night and wake up to her each morning and that would have to be enough for now.
