Chapter 5
Jordan POV
I stared at the picture of Helene before me. There was something about her that excited me very much. A feeling at the tip of my d**k whenever her sweet little voice would speak. No woman had ever excited me this much before.
She was everything that I needed in my child's mother but of course she was completely off limits.
"I see you're busy admiring the woman that might be carrying your child soon." My brother entered my office.
"Not admiring but a bit excited and I can't understand why."
"You can't?" He laughed. "Her innocence and her beauty has mesmerized my dear brother."
"And you're not?"
"Jane is having her appointment this afternoon at three. I think we should be paying more attention to that.He said.
I sighed remembering Jane . The feeling of guilt and disappointment flooding my emotions.
How could I be this heartless?
"I remembered pushing back all of my meetings to make sure that I am there on time."
Just then my personal assistant Rebecca rang my office phone and I placed her on speaker.
"What is it Rebecca? I thought I told you to postpone all of my meetings until tomorrow?"
"Yes sir and I did but this call is from Doctor Andrew. He's currently on the line, he said it's something important."
"Have him connected to me." I told her to pick up the phone.
"What is doctor Andrew?"
"I'm sorry if I had interrupted anything important Mr. Jones but I haven't been able to get to Helene today and I went by her address but her neighbors say she hasn't been living there for a while now."
"And there was no other address on the application?"
Why didn't we f*****g do a second check.
"Unfortunately no sir."
"Ok thank you. I will have it sorted out immediately. Was it something urgent you needed to see her?"
"No sir, I just wanted to see if everything was going fine. I will leave now. Goodbye."
I hung up.
"I guess your little firecracker is a rebel." Jason smirked.
I called for Rebecca to come to my office as she did obediently.
"Here, I want you to get in contact with Campbell university and get me all the addresses they have for one of their students. Helene Fischer. Get this done immediately." I told her as she nodded obediently.
"Once you're done, have the information sent over to me and then you can leave."
"Yes Sir." With that being said she left my office.
"So what do you plan to do with little Helene brother?"
"If she's indeed pregnant then I believe a punishment is due where necessary." I smirked seeing a sweet little opportunity. a
"And what if she's not?"
"That's even better don't you think?" I asked as Jason realized what I was talking about.
"I guess little Helene hadn't read the contract either. How fun it will be to have her trembling at every word."
"I think it's time we leave." I got up smiling at my brother seeing how much he made Helene fear him.
Getting up we made our way to the hospital. A place we hated but found ourselves there more frequently lately.
Doctor Andrew was our personal doctor and as such she was required to oversee any emergency or issues needed to be addressed by a doctor. I sighed before entering the room with Jane .
"How are you feeling?" I kissed the head of my dear Jane while my brother did as well.
"A little better now that you two are here." She shakily tried sitting up in bed.
"How is she doing Andrew?" Jason asked.
"She's doing a lot better than most days." He could only advise.
Jane had stage four cancer and only had a month to live. A sad reality we could not change.
She was the best thing to have happen to Jason and I and now she was being taken away from us. Just like that.
I hated coming to the hospital and seeing her. It made me feel weak and I hated feeling weak.
Jane also hated us visiting her and as such restricted us to only visit her every two weeks on a Friday.
We stayed a few hours to comfort her and told her everything we had done in the past two weeks before leaving to find where Helene lived two hours later.
"What the f**k is this slump ?" I snapped after getting down from the car but making sure to have our securities next to us.
I gazed at the information Rebecca had given me and frowned, completely taken back and disappointed in Helene.
"Let's go inside." My elder brother said before adjusting his suit and walking off into the direction of what seemed to be a broken down apartment.
The neighborhood was that of a poor standard. Anyone could get shot as there were hardly any street lights, a few arguments down the block, kids smoking and thugs standing viciously as if waiting for someone to mug. It was a deplorable condition.
We climbed the apartment stairs as the elevator was down. The further I got the more and more angrier I became that Helene had lied and was living in a hell hole for an apartment.
"Hey there cutie." A druggy clawed her dirty fangs at my suit in an attempt to seduce me.
This woman was old and held a cigar in her hand, her teeth were crooked and rotten as she smiled at me and she was more than a few pounds short of malnourished.
I pulled out my wallet and handed her a few hundred dollar bills while telling her to buy some food and stop smoking.
"Here we are brother." Jason said as we stood in front of apartment number twenty five.
But before we could knock and old man smoking stopped us.
"Hey, who are you guys? Are you Jasmine and Helene's boyfriend? You know they owe me a few months rent plus this month's rent! I'm about to throw them out any day now so you two both better have a place to put them." He puffed while going into a coughing fit.
I clenched my teeth and fit in anger hearing this.
"How much do they owe you?" My brother asked.
"They owe me two hundred dollars in total."
I watched as my brother took out his wallet and paid for Helene's rent.
"You will longer bother the two again until the rent is due." I warned as the old man laughed in joy before leaving.
We knew Helene needed the funds to pay for the rest of her college tuition as she had written on the application but not this.
Knocking on the door it was a few seconds later before the door was opened by a wide-eyed girl staring at us. A girl looking to be around Helene age opened the door. I guess this was her sister jasmine.
"Where is jasmine?" I asked her. "Jasmine, who's at the door?" Helene came around the corner.
I glared at her like my life depended on it as her reaction showed she was shocked to see us.
