Chapter 6
Helene's POV
I got up off the bed and entered the doorway. I was more than shocked to see Jordan and Jason standing at the door throwing deadly glares towards me.
"What the hell is this?" Jordan stepped inside.
I was at a loss for words as I stared down at the floor in utter shock and embarrassment.
"I'll be downstairs....taking a walk." Jasmine said exiting through the door.
"Explain." Jordan demanded and I immediately sat down hearing his sultry voice.
"I lied on the application."
"Apparently we can see that." Jason said.
"This is my address for almost four years for me and my sister. We moved here for school, shortly after they took our father's home due to unpaid mortgages."
I had nothing for a home. Jasmine and I have been struggling for so long.
"My brother and I have something very common in this world that we hate the most and that's a ." Jason spoke up.
Jason's words were like knives stabbing through my heart. I wasn't in love with him but to hear the man you secretly admire call you the most hated thing he disliked was absolutely hurtful.
It stated , in the contract, that if you were found to have lied on the contract fifty percent of the funds will be withheld." Jason carried on.
"What?!"
"Clearly you didn't read the contract Miss. Fischer." Jordan added, looking around the apartment disgusted.
"No, what I did is just that..." I stopped realizing what I was doing once they both glared at me.
"Please you cannot withhold those funds. I need it." I was about to beg if I had to.
"We know you need it sweetheart. You need it to continue your education throughout college." Jordan said.
Wait, did Jordan just call me little sweetheart?
"Luckily my brother and I believe in second chances." Hearing Jason's words my eyes almost filled with tears.
Thank god!
"But our second chance has terms and conditions." Jason smirked, taking a seat on the sofa while folding his hand together.
"W-what are those terms and conditions?" I stuttered out fearing for the worst.
With this Jason moved closely to me until he was only a foot away. My heart stopped as I held down my head. This dominant man was standing before me.
Anyone would cower away with the amount of authority they hold.
With men of our status. If news were to somehow get out about my brother having a surrogate and how she lived in a dump it would be chaos. You'd probably be kidnapped the same minute and be held for ransom." Jason's hot minty breath fanned my cheek.
My body shivered as I felt the need to pull him by his collar and kiss him like my life depended on it.
Apart from my desperate need for s*x what Jason had just explained to me was absolutely true.
Something I hadn't thought of entirely.
I was so caught up in getting the funds to get us out of the situation we were in that I didn't take everything else into consideration.
"Well that's absolutely true but can I ask how you guys found where I lived?"
This really puzzled me. "We have a tech team that we use in our company to track and locate anyone who might dare to harm our company so it would've been easy to track you down sweetheart. But to answer your question it was as easy as calling your school and getting where you lived."
Wow they basically just said I was stupid and indeed I was for not knowing all this basic information.
"So what now? What are the terms and conditions?" I asked, feeling impatient and anxious.
The more I waited the more I felt as though my lungs were drying up.
I needed water so I quickly got to the kitchen to drink a cup of water from the tap but it was immediately taken from my hand Jason.
"You drink tap water?!" He snapped looking furiously down at me.
Lifting my chin Jason spoke once again, "If there might be a possibility of you being pregnant then your tap water might contain bacteria or parasites that might make you sick." He glared down at me.
"I-I'm sorry it's just that I've been drinking tap water since I've been here and I have never once gotten sick before." I played with the hem of my shirt feeling like a roach before his big and dominant figure. |
"That's enough Jason. We just want to make sure that nothing happens to you or this baby if you are indeed pregnant or going to be pregnant soon." Jordan said and I felt like running to him for protection from his brother.
"I understand." I nodded my head staring into Jason's eyes.
His hand continued to hold my chin and for a split second I thought I saw him smile down at me.
"Good girl." He cooed like a child before letting go and the strangest feeling filled me up.
There was a bottle of water in Jordans hand that he handed me to drink.
I guess it was no more tap water for me.
Another strange thing happened was
that Jordan stalked closer to me and began playing with my hair as Jason went to stand by the doorway.
"Please ignore my brother. He has a thing for beautiful hair." Jason said.
"With regards to the terms and conditions. You'll be moving into our private estate immediately after you've been confirmed pregnant by the doctor." Jason told as his brother continued to play with my long curly locks.
"You're serious?!" I shrieked.
The private estate was an expensive and luxurious apartment a few blocks away from school. Those apartments were only for the rich who could afford it at two thousand dollars monthly. "But where am I..."
"We own two apartments there so there would be no payment needed from you." Jordan added from closely behind me.
"But what about..."
"Your sister can also stay with you there." Jason interrupts knowing exactly my thoughts.
My heart blossomed hearing this exciting news and without thinking
I turned to hug Jordan feeling nothing but muscles and a strong cologne that could have me stripping for them in a minute.
Mighty goodness!
I quickly dropped my hands and backed away while muttering how sorry I was.
How stupid can you be?
"You don't have to be sorry, Helene. You were only excited. We'll see you at the hospital in two days." Jordan said before the two left the apartment.
I felt more than happy hearing there news of jasmine and I moving to the private estate
My only hope now is to pray to God that I get pregnant somehow.
