Chapter 14 : King Arthur's evil heart

Initially I thought I could reason with Carla and make her stand by me but immediately she called me a murderer I knew I she was a lost cause. She's made up her mind to go against me.

So I also made up my mind.. She has to go too.

I'd have to kill her before she exposes me.

Once she is gone it'll be remaining one more person to go. The second bearer of the wizard's life force. Am sure its either the youngest son of the wizard or his apprentice.

I'll get them both. Very soon am going to find them But right now I have to kill my mate Carla.

King Arthur : What did you just call me Carla??

Carla : You're a bloody murderer... MURDERER!!! You even killed your own brother Arthur. You're so heartless!

King Arthur : You're right Carla. Am heartless enough to kill my own brother and any other person that stands as a threat to me.

She was still throwing curses at me when I walked up to her and strangled her to death with my bare hands.

It was so hard on me. It felt like I was hanging myself. I nearly backed down from killing her.. "Nearly"

It was just too hard. Killing her is probably the hardest thing I've ever done in my life but I had to do it for my people. I have to save our race from being turned to slaves.

I have to keep this throne. Am doing this for us all.

I kept saying these words to console myself because I felt dead inside.

When I confirmed that she is truly dead I ran out and raised alarm immediately to alert everyone that my mate is no longer breathing.

Some of our best physicians came immediately to confirm her death. They wanted to find out what happened to her but just then her stomach twitches,, Which could only mean that our baby is still alive in there.

The physicians announced that they could save the baby. During the process of bringing out the baby the physicians came to the conclusion that the queen died because the position of the child blocked her lungs and she could not breathe properly.

I made a mental note to myself never to trust in these physicians because its obvious that they don't know anything.

I yelled and screamed at the guards and other domestic staff's. I accused them of not watching over the queen properly.

They could not utter a word because they do not want to anger me more.

After much difficulty,, They brought my child out of my dead mates womb and to everyone's surprise she was alive and healthy. She looked so much like her mother. I can't even bear looking at her.

I really do hope all those information Carla got through the life force of the wizard also died with her.

I hope my little girl won't have any knowledge of all that went down before she was born.

I'll keep a very watchful eye on her. I wont mind killing her too if I find out she possesses the life force of the great wizard too.

I've come too far to be stopped. I wont let anyone or anything to take the throne of Nexus away from me.... NOT ON MY LIFE!!

I never treated her as my daughter and I never even got close to her.

It'll be so much easier to kill her if I don't have any attachment to her besides seeing her reminds me of my mate Carla and thinking of Carla causes a strange pain in my heart.

I totally avoided her like a plague but I've always watched her from a distance. I even have a spy that reports all her activities to me.

I learnt from my spy that she yearns for my love and acceptance.

She wants me to acknowledge her so she can get the respect and regard she deserves from our people.

If only she knows that am not capable of feeling love for anyone at all. Ever since I killed my mate Carla,, Something died inside of me too. I don't feel anything anymore and am patiently waiting for my spy to report to me that she knows the truth too. Then I'll kill her just like I killed Carla and the others who knew the truth.

THE TRUTH... I don't know why those words remind me of the organisation "La Verdad "

And then there is that fairy who owns the organisation.

Right now I don't know who the fairy is exactly. I suspect that he's either the missing son of the fairy wizard or his faithful apprentice. He must be the bearer of the remaining half of the wizard's life force.

He even had the courage to form an organisation and named it " La Verdad "

I can't believe he's gathering soldiers teaching them to go against me their king.

The brainless soldiers call themselves faithful followers and they claim they are fighting for justice.

Does he really know how many people that have lost their lives because of this??

I don't care if he has told the truth to all of his followers. It still doesn't scare me because I'll kill them all. I wont spare anyone of them.

I've killed one of them already. He was brought to Nexus by the elite team for interrogation.

The fool refused to share any information with me. He said he'd rather die..The brainless werewolf kept muttering " La Verdad te Pondra" Meaning " The Truth will set you free "

There's no truth to tell because am never backing down.

When I saw that the guards around were trying to guess the meaning of his words I quickly sent them. I asked one to keep watch outside while the second should go and get food for the prisoner.

As soon as they stepped out I brought out my gun and held it for him to see and perceive the bullet filled with wolfsbane.

Lucas : Am not scared of you murderer!!

King Arthur : Oh but I can tell that you are. You're very scared of me.

Lucas : The truth will be exposed.

King Arthur : By who?? Tell me who runs That organisation.

Lucas : You really don't know what's coming your way. You'll get what you deserve very soon. They are coming. Your doomsday is near. " La Verdad te pondra"

I got angry and irritated at his words so I pulled the trigger aiming at his heart. I called for help immediately.

" Guards help the prisoner shot himself "

The guards keeping watch ran in immediately and they tried to save him but it was too late. He was dead already.

I reported the matter to the council but I did not tell them he took the gun directly from me. Already many people are suspicious about the death of Cleo from the elite team. stupid Cleo could not focus on her mission. She actually found a mate. I knew she would be a danger if I let her return to Nexus and relate her experience because if she told them she felt the mate bond,,they may revisit the past issues and it'll raise lots of questions that I can't answer. So I sent my special team to intercept the extraction team and kill her. This team have always been very loyal to me and I'll definitely reward them when we destroy this organisation. So I told the council that the werewolf used a guy he stole from one of the guards to kill himself.

I know that they wont look into the matter or question the guards because the werewolf was a traitor.

I've come too far to give up.

Now I just need to know how many followers the leader of that organisation has and what they know already.

I'll strike when they least expect. They have no idea what's coming. The don't know who they are up against.

Over the years I've been working hard to gain the complete trust of my people and the council also. Now I've gained access to the crucial orb and I've learnt to manipulate and control its powers. Although the crucial orb refused to accept or obey me because I had soiled my hands but I know it will surrender to me soon.

I just need a little more time and I'll be able to harness it's powers and then I'll use the secret powers of our ancestors to my advantage and I'll kill them all.

I will rule Nexus.

I am the only king of the supernatural realm.
