CHAPTER 6: Anna Fainted

“Arghhhhhhhhh”
Anna yelled and slumped back to the ground in pain, her eyes streaming out tears.
“That bastard” she cursed, all she ever did was love him, give him everything, her soul, her love, her body only to get this.
The door creaked open and Kelly walked in, her eyes widened at the messy structure of the room.
“Anna!” She yelled in shock and walked in, her steps in a hurry. Her heels clinging on the glass and her bewildered eye, she never seen such a bloody or messy scene before.
“Are you okay?” She asked, her gaze fixed on Anna's foot, which kept oozing out blood.
“Yo..u came?” Anna muttered, her voice low and weak.
“Don't say a thing” she muttered and picked out her phone from her purse ready to call an emergency but Anna held her wrist.
“Don't” she muttered, her tone laced with tiredness and faint breathing.
She was sweating heavily and her eyes were getting heavy, she seemed to have lost a lot of blood and the pain was enough to make her pass out.
“Call your private doctor” she muttered and Kelly heaved a sigh, as much as she wanted to report to the officers on Nicholas, she couldn't.
“Okay” she muttered and dialed her personal doctor number.
“Hello, are you busy?” She asked, her tone film of worry and fear, Anna seemed like she was about to pass out soon.
“No, why” Xena asked, she was a personal doctor to Kelly and also friends with her. She was also slightly close to Anna too, they all knew each other since college
“What's wrong?” She asked, she had already stood up from her chair, she unbuttoned her white lab coat and hung it.
“Hmm okay, how bad is it?” she questioned.
“Sh..she pas..sed out now” Kelly muttered, her hands tapping gently on Anna's shoulder.
“Anbay are you okay?” She muttered, her thought trailed to Nicholas and she frowned, she was going to kill that asshole sooner or later.
“Kelly j need you to treat her wounds before I arrive, is the bleeding severe?” She asked and Kelly averted her gaze to Anna's foot.
“Yes” she muttered and Nina heaved a heavy sigh.
“Right now Kelly, I need you to stop the bleeding, can you do that for me?” Xena asked, her heels clinging on the tiles hospital floor.
“Evening Doctor Xena” , a nurse in training, and Xina flashed a smile at her.
“Ain't, y..oh arr..ving now” Kelly stuttered in fright, she wasn't a doctor, she didn't want to injure her best friend.
“Kelly get it together, it's an hour drive to Anna's home, you have to do something before I arrive, you love your bestie don't you?”
“Um. Yess” Kelly muttered and Xena smile “great, now follow my instructions”
“ I need you to grab the first aid box in her home, she has one right?”
“Ye...yeah” Kelly muttered anxiously
“Get it now” Xena said and Kelly stood up rushing to Anna's room, she knew Anna kept a first aid box in her phone, just in case Nicholas gets injured so she could treat him, she remembered the smile on her face, when she brought the first aid box.
She gently scattered Anna's drawer and found the box rushing doon the stairs, her heels missing a step and she almost tripped but her grip and balance ensured she didn't fall but she sprained her ankle.
“Ouch” she hissed, walking on her sprained ankle, she arrived at the living room and stride to answer.
“I have it, what should I do?” she asked and Xena heaved a sigh.
“Gently clean the wound with clean clothes or gauze, please be gentle, any pressure on her foot and it would only complicate the pain.”
Kelly slowly followed up the instructions applying the gauze on the wounded area.
“Have you done that? Now rinse the wounded area with cool water and mild soap” Xena added, her tone gentle and smooth.
“Make sure her foot is placed on something, so it's above her heart level to reduce blood flow”.
She was in her car already and had driven out of the hospital, she muttered words, which Kelly followed her words fading slightly by each word.
Kelly gazed at Anna, her pale face seemed to have lightened up a bit and she seemed comfortable.
She heaved a sigh of relief and rushed to the kitchen. She wanted to make porridge for her before she woke up.
She cut the apple into sticks, put the apple into a blender and mixed with little water, blending the apple.
Then she transferred it to a pot and cooked it on low heat, and she rushed back to Anna. She seemed stable.
She gently placed her hands on Anna's forehead and her eyes lightened in coolness, her worries disappearing slowly and the door dinged.
She walked towards the door and looked through the peephole, it was doctor Xena, she smiled inwardly and opened the door.
Xena walked into the home but paused, her gaze trailed round the round, it was messy shattered glass and blood everywhere, the couch was even torn a bit.
“What happened here?” She asked and Kelly heaved a sigh.
“It's a long story,” she muttered.
“He did this?” Xena yelled and her eyes beamed with anger, she folded her hands under her boobs and frowned.
“Let's take her to the car, she needs to rest in a proper bed at the hospital” Xena saud and gazed at the cloak on the wall
It was past 11 and yet Nicholas wasn't home, she frowned and averted her gaze to Kelly.
“Are you going to stay here?” Kelly asked and Xena flashed a smile.
“I need to teach a scoundrel how it feels to be impaired on the foot” she said and Kelly paused on her steps.
“You will lose your license if you hurt him, I'm not letting you do that, let's go”she said and took hold of Xena’s hand but she stayed rooted In her spot, even as Kelly tried to pull her towards the door.
“Are you crazy, you will lose your license, don't you understand? You worked hard for this?” she yelled and Xena smiled.
“Actually…..”
“What if, I am not the one who inflicted such pain on him, what if he did it by himself?”
