Orlando took Jessica back to Grande Garden. He was more violent than yesterday while having s*x, as if venting his anger on her.
Jessica grabbed his shoulders, lowered her head to bite him hard, and said, "Jerk, I hate you. I will return the five hundred thousand dollars to you. I will work hard. I will return the money even if I must work as a waitress."
She could not tolerate his insult.
Hearing this, Orlando chuckled. He had calmed down, so he gently kissed her and said, "Silly girl, I've long told you backbone is worthless. You blame me for insulting you. But do you think you will feel better working as a waitress to serve others?"
"I would rather work as a waitress than sell myself to you."
Orlando stroked her hair with his big hand and chuckled, "But you've already sold yourself to me. Baby, be obedient. And I will give you whatever you want."
Jessica looked up at him in a daze, wondering why he became so gentle.
"Silly girl."
Orlando was in a good mood. He leaned against the bedhead, pulled her into his arms, poked her face with his slender finger, and asked, "Are you hungry?"
He had noticed she had not eaten much at the meal.
"I'm not hungry." She was so angry that she had no appetite.
"Really?" Orlando was going to call the servant downstairs. Hearing her words, he put down the phone and raised his eyebrows at her.
Jessica frowned, "Fine! I can eat some."
After a while, a servant knocked on the door. Orlando got up and brought the food in.
After finishing eating, Jessica planned to have a sleep. She had been busy looking for a job these days. And her mother had had an accident yesterday. When she finally could rest today, Orlando had dragged her to the Pratts and used her as a tool.
When she lay on her side and closed her eyes, Orlando instantly held her from behind. And she stiffened when he reached into her clothes and gently touched her belly with his fingers. Suddenly, he curiously asked, "Why do you have a scar on your belly?"
Jessica was startled to hear this.
Then, he continued, "Have you ever given birth to a child? It looks like a scar left by a cesarean."
Jessica had thought he had become gentle. But now, she realized he was still a moody man.
She turned around, reached out to push him, and said, "Mind your own business. Whether I have given birth to a child has nothing to do with you!"
Orlando had a weird temper and did not allow others to resist him. Jessica thought he would get angry. But he got up, lit a cigarette, and indifferently said, "It has something to with me. After all, you are my woman. If you have children outside..."
He didn't finish his words, but she knew what he meant. A self-mocking look flashed across her eyes when she narrowed her eyes. She did not have a child because her baby had long passed away.
When Jessica closed her eyes, she seemed to hear her hysterical cries in the hospital corridor.
"Ms. Kirk, I'm sorry. The baby did not survive." The nurse's cruel words kept lingering in her mind.
Jessica kept her eyes closed. And tears flew out before she fell asleep.
Looking at the tear stains on her face, Orlando lowered his head and gently kissed her, murmuring, "Since you are so unwilling to part with him, why did you abandon him then?"
While she was asleep, he went to the study. It was four in the afternoon here, so it was eight in the morning in Fayford. After a while, a Grandol maid appeared on the screen with a child in her arms.
