Prologue
As the sun sets over the bustling city, a young boy sits alone by the pier, gazing out into the endless horizon. He watches the serene waters of the sea, hoping that it washes away his sorrows along with the setting sun. But no matter how much he wishes for it, he can't escape the crushing weight of his unrequited love.
He's a young, poor teenager who's been struggling to make ends meet his entire life. His family is dysfunctional, and he feels like an outcast in his own home. But what hurts him more than anything is the one-sided love he harbors for another boy.
His heart aches every time he sees the object of his affections, watching him from afar as he realizes that he can never have him. He knows that the boy he loves could never reciprocate his emotions, and it tears him apart to see him with other people, knowing that he'll never be able to hold him close the way he longs to.
As the cool breeze blows, and the stars twinkle in the sky, he wonders if he'll ever find the courage to confess his feelings or if he'll be forced to keep them locked away forever. He feels weak, helpless, and above all, utterly alone.
But as he sits there, watching the waves come and go, he also realizes that he's not the only one struggling to find love and acceptance. He knows that there are others like him, fighting their own battles, seeking their own light at the end of the tunnel. And with that thought, he finds a glimmer of hope, knowing that he's not truly alone, and that someday, somehow, things will get better.
