Chapter 32: The Scar

NATHAN'S P.O.V

I woke up with the biggest smile on my face. Last night was amazing. I never knew I would love someone as much as I love Anna, I have never felt this way. Anna made me feel like I'm home.

I glanced to see the time and it was only 6 am, it's still too early to wake up. Anna was still fast asleep beside me, naked. I couldn't help but replying the scene from last night. Man, she felt so good. I could careless about hurting the girls on my one night stands but with Anna, I felt the need to be gentle and to not hurt her. And I'm glad that I was her first. God, I sound like a horny teenager.

Since I couldn't go back to sleep, I took my phone and unlocked it to see a text from her. As I read the text, my eyes widen in shock.

No, this can't be happening.

How could someone be so cruel and evil? I hate this b***h so much. Why can't life free me from this witch? I was so mad that I threw my phone on the floor and it caused a loud bang, causing Anna to wake up.

"What was that?" she asked in her sleepy voice.

"My phone. Sorry I made you awake. You can go back to sleep baby"

She yawned and rubbed her eyes. She looked so cute. "Are you okay? Why are you awake?"

"I'm fine baby don't worry. Now sleep" I said, stroking her hair. She just nodded and closed her eyes again, back to sleep.

I tightened my grip around her, I can't lose her. I love her so much. I have to finish what I had done in the past. I made a mistake but I want to fix it before it's too late. I won't hurt her, neither lose her.

ANNA'S P.O.V

When I woke up, Nathan was nowhere to be seen. I rubbed my eyes and sat up only to realize that I was completely naked, and I saw a stain of dried blood on the mattress. That's when the flash of last night's event made a return.

The way Nathan made me feel so good. The way he was being a gentle. The way he loved my body. The kisses, the touch, the pleasure, everything was perfect.

I grabbed Nathan's top and put it on. Just then, the door opened and Nathan walked in with the tray of food. How sweet, isn't he?

"Hey, good morning, sweetheart" he greeted as he set the breakfast on the bed.

I smiled. "Morning, Nath. Smells good"

"Thanks, I cooked them for you. I want to make it up to you for being such a jerk, I hope that helps a bit"

I chuckled. "I'm not upset anymore. You are already forgiven, remember?"

Nathan just smiled and took a spoon of the veggie soup and fed me. It tasted delicious though. Nathan had made my day and it's barely even started.

"So how come you were at the red carpet yesterday?" Nathan asked as I finished my breakfast.

"Thyme and the boys invited me"

"The boys?" he raised an eyebrow.

"The cast of The Scorch Trials. We got along together and they invited me to tag along"

He nodded. "I see. And I haven't seen with that black dress you wore yesterday. You were absolutely stunning"

I blushed. "Thanks, babe"

Nathan set the breakfast away from the bed and pulled me closer to cuddle. He stroked my hair softly, humming a song with his amazing voice.

"It's beautiful" I said.

"Thanks. I wrote that song"

"Really? What is the song about?" I asked as I rested my chin on his care chest.

"About you. I wrote the song on our flight here. It's about how I feel about you" he smiled, making me blushed.

He wrote a song for me? How lovely!

"Aww I feel so honored. I feel like I'm special to you"

"You should be, you are very special to me, young lady" he winked.

I giggled. "Thank you, I can't wait to hear the whole song"

"You will soon"

I smiled as I gave him a kiss. He has done so much to make me happy and I couldn't be more grateful to have him. Though we had arguments the past few days but I never stop loving him. He is just so perfect in his way.

"I will go have a bath," I announced as I got up. "You are welcome to join me" I playfully smirked.

He grinned. "Best invitation ever"

I chuckled. "Bet it is"

I was halfway to the bathroom when he called. "Anna?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you"

I smiled. "I love you too, Nathan"

I walked in the bathroom and set the bath tub, Nathan followed me behind. I turned the water on and took off my top as Nathan did too. I didn't feel that insecure anymore, Nathan has seen everything last night. He hopped into the bath tub and sat, I followed, pressing my back on his chest.

"It's so relaxing" he mumbled, pressing his lips on the crook of my neck.

"Hhmm"

He ran his pointed finger on my back, rubbing circle it, sending me shiver down my spine. He slowly ran his hand down my neck and stopped when he found 'something'.

"Wh-what is that?" he asked.

My eyes widen. He found my scar. The scar when I tried to kill myself, back to 5 years ago.

"It's nothing" I said as I quickly covered the scar with my hand.

"Anna-"

"I don't want to talk about it" I was about to get up but my hips got pulled back by his strong arms.

"No, please tell me"

"I cut my neck accidentally, it's nothing"

"It's not nothing," he sighed as he pushed my hand away to uncover the scar. "Oh God.. please don't tell me you-"

I shook my head in fear. "No I did not!"

"Anna.." he held my shoulder and turned me around so I faced him.

I sighed. "Fine. I'll tell you" I closed my eyes as I took a deep breath. "5 years ago, I was on the first year of high school. I always got picked by people because they thought I was weird. They called me nerd because I didn't hang out or went to party with them. They called me weird because I was always alone. Nobody wanted to be my friend, I mean, who would?

Then I joined this dancing club and gained self-confidence. I became quite popular ever since I won a dancing competition. People finally talked to me, appreciated me and my dancing skill. I finally even got to make some friends. Everything was perfect until this girl ruined everything. She was one of the school's popular girls and she happened to hate me so much because I got more popular than her.

She hated it when her fame was replaced to me. At first she would just sent me glares, bumped into my shoulder, and I would just ignore her. But then she was never satisfied so she made a fake rumor about me and spread it through school. She said that I won the competition because I seduced the judges, that I used boys just to have s*x, even she edited my picture and made it look like I was a prostitute.

She was a great actress, people believed in her and they started to hate me. They called me a slut and even bullied me. They yanked my hair, hit me, insulted me, called me horrible names, everything, and it went for like 4 months. I couldn't handle the stress, I was diagnosed with depression.

Then one day, I felt like everything went too much, I couldn't take it anymore, I needed to be free. So I came to this lake near my house, crying. I brought a knife with me and cut my neck. It hurt a lot at first but it felt good, I cut deeper, waiting for the death to come. And for once I felt.. happy. Dying made me feel so much better"

When I'm done, my cheeks already wet with tears.

NATHAN'S P.O.V

I can not believe this.

She tried to kill herself because of the bully. I never knew she had gone through that. She doesn't deserve to go through horrible things like that. Bully is so evil. If only I met her earlier, I would have stopped the bully.

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry" I pulled her into hug.

"I never wanted to kill myself, but I was so depressed" she buried her face on my chest.

I rubbed her back softly. "It's not your fault love. Bully is so cruel. You didn't deserve to go through that. I wish I was there to stop the bully"

"It's fine Nathan. I'm glad that I'm still alive. I regret doing that though"

"Promise me you will never, ever, try to kill yourself again. Promise me" I lift her chin up and wiped her tears.

She sniffed. "I promise"

I smiled and kissed his forehead. "And what happened after that?"

She sighed. "It was Edward. He found me and took me to the hospital. I fainted already, I never knew what happened but the next thing I knew, I woke up in a hospital room"

"If Edward was here I would like to thank him for saving your life"

She nodded with a sad smile. "Yeah. He saved my life and I'm so grateful for that. He made me realized that I should have never given up on life, no matter how much life was against you. He was my guardian angel"

I never knew at how much that guy has done to her. He had a very special place in her heart. He was her guardian angel. He saved her life. He gave her the second chance to live her life. If it wasn't because of him, Anna would have died and I would have never met her. I'm so jealous with that guy.

ANNA'S P.O.V

I couldn't believe I told him about my scar. The scar was the reason how I met Edward. He found me. He saved my life. And if it wasn't because of him, I would have not been alive now.

"What about that girl? Where is she now?" Nathan asked as he rubbed my hand softly.

We were still in the bath tub and it was quite funny that we had an emotional conversation whilst we were naked.

"The principle found out about the bully and he dropped her out from school so I don't know where she is now, it's been 5 years"

"I'm glad he did that, that b***h hurt my girl and almost made my girl died" he pouted. I smiled as he called me 'his' girl.

"I'm here now Nathan, there's nothing to worry about. It was 5 years ago and I've moved on. Now I'm glad that I met you" I smiled at him.

"I'm glad I found you my love" he smiled.

He then leaned in to kiss me gently. I ran my hands around his hair whilst he caressed my cheeks, deepening the kiss. He broke the kiss then slowly moved down on the crook my neck, trailing kisses everywhere.

Then he stopped when he touched the scar. He rubbed it softly with his thumb and the next thing I knew, he kissed my scar softly. It feels great to feel his lips on my neck. He sucked on the other side of my neck and I moaned in pleasure.

"You like that baby?" he said between my neck.

I just moaned for a reply, too good to miss it. He kept sucking my neck until I felt like we have been at the tub for so long and I started to get cold.

"Nathan.."

"Hhmm"

"I think we should get up, we've been here for hours"

"Hhmm"

"Nathan.."

"5 more minutes baby"

I sighed and let him did what he's doing. I don't mind though, I love it when he makes me happy.

"Alright we should go get dressed" he said. I just nodded and we both got up and cleaned ourselves.

I grabbed my towel and walked into the room, opening the wardrobe to find a pair of t-shirt and a short. Nathan was dressing too behind me, but I could hear him giggling.

"What are you giggling at?" I asked as I put my bra on.

"Nothing" He continued giggling and left to the balcony.

I rolled my eyes and made my way to my make-up desk. I saw my reflection in the mirror and I almost got a heart attack to see what I've just seen.

"NATHAAAAAAAAAAAN"

"Yes baby?" his head popped up.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME? How do I suppose to cover these?!" I pointed at my neck which had full of hickeys. And yeah he did those. That's why he giggled earlier.

"I thought you like me sucking your neck?" he smirked.

"But not like these! Oh my God I can't go outside looking like this" I opened the wardrobe to find any sweater but I realized I didn't pack any because LA is sunny.

"Sure you can baby, so people know that you are mine" he winked.

I looked at him in disbelief. You play games with me, I can play mine too Sykes. You just need to wait for that.
