Chapter 33: Befriended with the enemy

ANNA'S P.O.V

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

"SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!"

Absorbent and yellow and porous is he?

"SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!"

If nautical nonsense be something you wish

"SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!"

Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish!

"SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!"

Ready?

"SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, SPONGEBOOOB SQUAREPAAAAAAANTS" I screamed like a dying cat whilst watching the opening of Spongebob Squarepants on TV.

This got to be my daily routine every single day. Don't ask me why. I may be 20 but deep down I'm 7.

Nathan's head popped out from the bathroom. "What the hell are you? 7?" an amused lacing in his voice.

"Ssshhh it's starting!" I shushed him as the new episode of Spongebob is about to start.

He chuckled. "I didn't realize I date a 7 years old girl who loves Spongebob"

"Ssshhh quiet!"

Spongebob came out from his house and greeted Squidward who was showering his flowers. I giggled as Squidward made this bored face and told the world how much he hated Spongebob. Then the screen went black in any second. Nathan took the remote and turned it off.

"Hey turn it on!" I yelled.

He threw the remote on the bed. "No, go get ready now. We're going out"

"Where are we going?"

"The studio and lunch after that"

I shove the remote and turned the telly on. "No thanks, I'd rather stay here and watch my baby Spongebob on TV"

He frowned. "You pick him over me?"

I grinned. "Yep"

Soon I was pushed down on the bed, Nathan was hovering over me.

"That wasn't very nice, was it?" He raised an eyebrow.

I shrugged. "Well I love Spongebob too much to miss his episode"

Then I was tickled. I laughed as he tickled my stomach. He pinned both of my hands so I couldn't fight.

"Say that again and I swear I will tickle you 'til you cry" he said above me.

"Stop!" I laughed.

"Say that you love me more than Spongebob"

"Nope, never" I stubbornly said.

I got tickled even more, Nathan was serious about making me cry from tickling.

"Okay, okay, I love you more than Spongebob. Please stop" I giggled.

He smirked. "That's better"

He stopped and I was completely breathless from laughing.

"Now come on, get up and go get ready" he said.

"Can I at least watch 1 episode?"

"No, get your ass off here and get ready, my love" he pulled me up and smacked my ass.

I glared at him. "You jerk"

He shrugged. "Nah, you love me"

"Unfortunately"

I gave up and made my way to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I got dressed then we were ready to go. The driver drove us to the studio. Nathan was busy talking to Scooter on the phone whilst I just stared out from the window.

We then arrived in the studio where the place was taking. Nathan took my hand and we walked inside.

"Hey mate, hi Anna" Scooter greeted as he saw us.

"Hi Scooter"

Nathan turned to me. "Are you sure you're okay here? I can ask the driver to take you around"

"I'll be fine, Nath"

He smiled and pecked my lips. "I'll be quick, I promise"

I just nodded then he went with Scooter, leaving me outside the room. I pulled out my phone and went creeping on twitter. Nothing was interesting though. Then my mom's ID caller appeared on my screen.

"Hey mom" I greeted as I took the call.

"Hey sweetie, how are you?"

"I'm good, mom. Just waiting for Nathan in the studio. How are you and dad?"

"We are good too, honey. We have missed you so much, please come visit us"

"Sure, mom. I was thinking to visit you this week"

"That's good to hear, I can't wait to see you, honey. Your dad and I have something to tell you"

"Yeah? What is it mom?"

"Erm I will tell you in person, okay?"

"Alright then, I can come on Friday or Saturday maybe?"

"Friday is okay, honey"

"Okay, Friday it is then. I'll call you again later, mom, I love you"

"Love you too, sweetie. See you soon"

Then the call ended. I honestly missed my mom and dad so much. I haven't seen them in a month. I will sure visit them this Friday, which is in 2 days. I can't wait to see them again, and I'm very curious what they want to tell me. It better be a good news.

NATHAN'S P.O.V

"So I have arranged radio tour for you both for a week, starts next Monday" Scooter announced as we finished recording.

"Perfect! I love radio tour" Ariana giggled.

"Can Anna come with me?" I asked Scooter.

He sighed. "I'm afraid she can't, Nathan. The media knew that you and Ariana are working on something. What would they think if they saw Anna between you and Ariana? You don't want the media to think that she is the third-wheel, do you?"

That made me really angry. "Excuse me? She IS my girlfriend, not a third-wheel"

Scooter was never really okay that Anna and I dated. He always said that Ariana is perfect for me. That's one of the reasons why I don't really like this guy, he could be so selfish for his own good. He has no right to decide who I should date. He is not my f*****g father!

"Still a no" he said and left to answer a phone call.

I rolled my eyes and cursed under my breath. Working with Scooter is so irritating.

"Nathan?" Ari called.

"What?"

She looked worried. "I'm really sorry for the things I said to your girlfriend, I honestly regretted it. Look, I want to apologize to her, in person. I was being so b***h to her"

I was not really sure whether to trust her or not, she betrayed my trust once. But she seemed sincere when she said she really regretted saying those horrible things to Anna. Anna deserved to hear it from her.

I nodded. "Yeah sure, she's outside. You can talk to her"

"Okay I'll be back" she stood up and made her way outside the room.

ANNA'S P.O.V

It's been half an hour since Nathan left and I was getting so bored. I was playing candy crush when someone sat across me. I looked up to see Ariana. What the hell does she want?

"Hey"

I glared at her. "What do you want, Ari?"

I'm not ready to hear another insults from her. I'm so not in the mood for her bitchy comments about me.

She sighed. "Listen, I get that you are mad. You have every right to hate me, I was being so b***h and harsh to you the other day. But I want to apologize. I'm so sorry about the things I said about you, it's so wrong to me to treat you like that. I hope you can forgive me"

I was taken back in shock. Ariana apologized? What hit her to do that?

"Why of all sudden you apologized to me?"

"I'm gonna be honest with you, that day when I first met you, I thought you were like Nathan's other girls. I thought you were as bad as them so I thought I could irritate you"

"Wait wait hold on, what do you mean by Nathan's other girls?" I asked, obviously confused.

She sighed. "Ever since Nathan and I broke up, he was depressed. He was heartbroken and somehow turned into this whole new person, not a better person but the opposite. I know that, because his sister told me. Since that, I heard that Nathan dated girls just to play with them and dumped them in the end. And those girls are just as bad as I thought. They used him for his fame and money. I never knew that the break up would be this hard for him. He didn't trust love anymore," she looked upset. "So when I met you that day, I thought you were just like those girls, getting with him just to take all of his money. I don't want that to happen, Nathan doesn't deserve to go through that. He has been hurt enough by me. That's why I humiliated you so you would back off and won't break his heart. I had to do that to protect him, it's the least I could do"

I was speechless. I never knew that story about him. His break up with Ariana was so hard for him. He loved her so much.

"Nathan does love you so much, Anna. I can see that in his eyes. The way he looked at you and how his eyes spark when he sees you. He has been even happier ever since he told me that you and him are dating. I've never seen him this happy before. He's happy with you. And when you left him for 2 days, he never stopped looking for you. He freaked out and searched for you everywhere. He was worried about you, Anna. He loves you so much"

Is she telling me the truth?

"But.. you said that you will always be his best gi-"

"I lied" she cut my words. "As I've told you, none of things I told you that day was true. I did that just to protect him because I thought you were just like those girls. But then I realized that you are nothing like them, in fact you are the girl I have always hoped would be Nathan's girlfriend. You are a kind-heart girl and you're honestly so beautiful"

I couldn't help but smiled at her. My impression of her was wrong. Ariana is actually a very sweet and lovely girl ever. No wonder why Nathan defended her that day. She did this just to protect him. It all make senses now. I would do the same if I were her.

"But, that kiss.." I trailed as I remembered the kiss.

She shook her head. "We had no choice. Scooter made us to do that. There was another company in his office that day and we had to do that to promote our duet. I'm sorry you had to see that. I'm really sorry for everything. God, I'm such a b***h"

So Nathan was telling me the truth about another company in that office. How rude of to actually think he made up that excuse to gain my apology. I'm such a coward. I should have believed in Nathan.

"I hope you can forgive me, Anna"

I smiled. "Hey, it's okay. I understood now. It was days ago and I've moved on already. Don't worry, I have forgiven you. I'm sorry about my attitude the other day too. I hope you understand"

"It's okay, Anna. I completely understand. All girls would do that though"

"You're right" I smiled at her.

"So.. we are good now?"

"We are" I giggled. She smiled at me and extended her hand to shake mine.

We are good now, no hurt feeling. So that means.. Ariana and I are now friends.
