The smoke is currently spreading and becoming thick, and I did not waste any time to just stand around there, and moved quickly around the area and used my enhanced senses to navigate the murky area. The enemy started to fire randomly in the area, and I avoided their bullets.
The smoke is really getting into my eyes and this is what I have been training for. This smoky area, I will overcome this trial. I really don’t get along with smokes since it hazes my vision and the oxygen that I inhale. I am strong but that does not mean that I have a super human powers.
I inhaled very deeply earlier and now I am like a woman underwater, I am confident that I can hold my breathe for a long time and I can manage to get out of this area in time before I run out of breath, but I have this habit to challenge myself in the most despicable times.
I know... this means death if I fail, and that’s what makes my blood running living my life. CHALLENGES.
Instead of running to an open area, I followed the gun flashes, while the enemy soldiers are firing randomly. I have teary eyes right now and I will not hide the fact that this is making it hard for me to move. But there is something motivating me to overcome the boulder that I am facing right now.
It’s up for me whether I climb it or not, but I chose to climb towards the top. I closed my eyes to let the tears fall, and if someone is seeing me right now, they will prolly think that I am crying right now, but let’s get real this is a smoky area and no one can see me.
I am starting to feel the pressure of holding my breath, but I went on and then I saw a soldier firing, I am at his side, and immediately grabbed his hand before he notices me, and I twisted it. A loud cracking of bones can be heard as he screamed so loudly because of immense pain and he lets go of his gun. Despite the pain that I inflicted on him, he decided to punch me in the face but I used my other hand to grab his fist.
I can tell that the pain, weakens him, so with his both hands restricted because of my tight hold on them, I lifted him and smashed him on the ground, then after that, I let go of him and kicked him hard to knock him out. If he is not luck then that will kill him or probably lose his arm for the rest of his life.
I wiped my tears and now I am starting to feel that soon I will suffocate in this area, I need to end this fast. I ran immediately towards the second target, and did a sweep kick to make him fall, and I immediately grabbed his neck twisting it, killing him for good.
Then I sensed danger so I jumped backwards immediately, and I am not wrong as bullets started to rain down on their ally’s corpse.
So, instead of charging them head on, I decided to circle around them, and fighting with fists this time proved that I am in a great advantage right now, because it helps me to not give them my location and the noise that they are creating right now because of their poor judgement is making it easier for me to run around undetected. The saying is really true, kill the leader first and the rest will scramble like ants; it looks like that I took out the squad leader first. Soon the smoke will fade and it looks like that my breathe will run out first.
I am surprised when I saw that that there is two of them, that entered my field of vision right now, and what’s worse? They are staring at me right now, pointing their guns at me. They did not hesitate to pull the trigger and I stumbled on the ground as a bullet hits my leg.
I endured the pain and I started to ram one of them till I hit a wall, I heard this one coughed blood but the other one run out of ammo, and there is a plenty of time for him to reload. I gave this guy an upper cut and that pain earlier made me waste my breathe as the pain caused me to exhale some air.
This guy fell down and I need to conserve my energy right now, killing him would be a waste of energy as there is plenty of time for me to escape, when they wake up.
The other guy started firing at my direction again as he reloaded his gun and this is not looking very good for me. I can feel the blood continuously streaming out of the wound, and I can’t run faster just like earlier, but I continue to run to avoid death.
I found a cover and quickly hid, but I am still in the smoke, I am starting to suffocate. I need to get out fast. I looked around fast. I need to be quick and I ran towards the opposite direction of this guy and used my remaining strength to run.
Thankfully the guy did not notice me and is firing towards a random direction but not here and now the urge of breathing air is getting stronger and stronger. My leg is gradually becoming weak because of the wound, and the need for air is making it worse for me.
I got too cocky and that did not bring me any good. My vision is starting to get hazy, as my brain is starting... I don’t know, I really can’t thing very straight right now. I just need to get out of this murky area as soon as possible.
It is starting to get to me, and my knees are shaking right now, and soon I will stumble and fall. But a ray of hope suddenly shines when I managed to get out of the smoke just in time. I gasped for air and almost immediately both of my legs shut down and I rolled on the ground.
I am barely conscious but I have the remaining strength to crawl to safety and myself until my mind becomes clear again. I don’t know what’s happening around me anymore, as every sound gets muffled and my vision became very blurry. All I know right now is that I should continue to crawl.
. . . . . . . . . .
Ooohh, my head is aching right now and I can feel that my leg is very numb right now. I tried to move my body, the pain crawled over my body and I groaned in pain. I tried opening my eyes but my head still feels heavy and I opened my eyes and saw... that all of them are surrounding me right now pointing their guns at me.
How long I was out? I am still in the same spot where I passed out, I did not even realize that I passed out. I did not dare to move even an inch so that they will not raise their guard towards me.
I still hear gunshots in the area and that helped me to determine that I was not out for long as the battle still continue to rage on. My radio is chattering things that I cannot perceive as my head is still foggy. I contained the pain, as I am assessing the area as clear as I could in my situation right now. It seems like that they are busy chatting on the radio and they are tasked to guard me.
“Sir we captured her,” I heard one of them speaks to his radio.
“Who?” I heard someone replied and the static feedback commonly heard in radios.
“The berserker sir, she is currently unconscious and we surrounded her,” he replied and I closed my eyes again when I saw him about to look at me. “It seems like that she has company and still on the run sir,” he added.
“Continue to guard her,” he commanded. “We will be sent immediate back up to export and prepare her for interviews,” he added. “First, send half of your men here we are completely outmatched by some guy and we are taking casualties,” he said and it sounded desperate.
This is going great for me as this increases the chance of me escaping this situation most likely, and I am sure that who is on the other side of that radio, is pertaining to Anthony in the middle of his rampage. I am starting to feel sorry for him.
“Roger,” he said and then puts down the radio. “Four of you!” he shouted and all of them seems alerted by his sudden announcement and that means that I should stay more still and wait for them to get out before I take action. “You, you, you, you! Step up,” he said while pointing his finger to four different people. Those who are selected obediently step up as their leader say. “Go to Faraoh’s position right now! He needs your help, now!” he shouted again and then immediately the four selected men started running away from us and that leaves them three guarding me.
I can take them out no problem, if not for this gun wound in my leg. My head is becoming clear as time passes by and I think that a few more minutes my head will be back in the game. Although my leg is numb, prolly because of the blood loss that I have suffered.
I tried moving it and I can just slightly move it for now, maybe it’s okay to stay numb for now as the pain will not get into me and will help to remain calm.
“What are we going to do to her boss?” one of them asked their leader.
“Didn’t you hear what he said? He said we guard her you numb skull,” he said insulting his ally.
“But sir this woman killed hundreds in our organization,” one of them spoke out.
“Are you chickening out?” he asked. This little commotion gave me a chance to pull out my pistol, from my pocket. Then I pointed it at them. I shot down the one guarding me and both of them almost immediately turned to me. They quickly draw their guns and when I pulled the trigger there...
Nothing came out.
I am out of ammo!
Damn! I’m dead for sure.
