Chapter Six: PlugShe sucks on her dummy when she wakes up and then wets and dirties her nappy all at once. It's easier to get everything over with first thing in the day, and then she can enjoy the rest of the day with minimal interruptions. But that doesn't make it any less pleasant.
Her lower lip wobbles and she starts to cry in earnest, tears streaming down her face as she squeezes her toy wolf tight to her body, seeking comfort from her favorite stuffed animal. Daddy gave it to her a few days ago and she loves it because it reminds her of Daddy.
She muffles her cries into the soft fur of the wolf, chewing her dummy absently as she waits for Daddy to come get her. It doesn't normally take him this long.
