Chapter 16: Phase

ANNIE'S P.O.V

It's Monday today and I am on my way to school. So far, I haven't seen anything that might someone is following me. If I can sense anything, I will accept Lovely's offer. But for now, I need to settle on my own. I am scared that my family might be involved in my situation and also my friends. I don't like that to happen.

''Annie!'' I came back to my senses because I heard someone calling me. I am now at university. I saw Gill waving his hand and running towards me.

''Gill!'' I said and waved back to him.

''Let's go in together. Did you have your breakfast?'' He said while we were walking inside the campus.

''No actually.'' I said.. I forgot to eat my breakfast because I thought I was late.

''Come, let's go to the canteen. You should eat first. I didn't eat and ate my breakfast.'' He said while holding my hands.

''Ouch bro'' In the middle of our walk we stopped because Kyo bumped Gill. Kyo just smiled at him and put his arm on my shoulder.

''Hi Annie'' I was shocked after he did that. What just happened? Why is he so close to me?

''Ahmm why are you both close?'' Gill said and looked at us in question. Actually, everyone is looking at us.

''Yo Kyo, you didn't wait for me.'' Vyrone ran towards us and he looked at Gill and put his arms on his shoulder, tapping his head ''Oh hi Gill long time no see bro!'' Gill removed his hand and teasingly punched Vyrone.

''ANNIE!'' I heard someone shouting my name from behind and it sounded familiar. I know that is Zyreel.

''Why are you so close to Kyo?'' Jenlyn said, looking at us and his arm was still on my shoulder. Now we look like a couple. That's why everyone is looking at us.

''Ahmmm...'' I didn't know what I would say because I didn't know how I would start or tell them how and when.

''We just closed because of my sister. Annie is my sister's friend.'' Kyo said and he looked at me and winked.

''Can you please remove your arm from Annie'' Zyreel said, and removed Kyo's arm from my shoulder. Kyo just laughed and raised his hands as a sign of surrendering.

''So you and Annie?'' Vyrone said and I was shocked by that. ''or Annie and Kyo?'' he said again. He is asking if I am dating these guys.

''No we are just friends'' Gill said and Kyo didn't say anything.

''Kyo and I are just friends'' I am the one who answers his question because Kyo doesn't plan to answer Vyrone's question.

''Come Annie, I am hungry!'' Kyo said and held my hands, puling me towards to the canteen. Now everyone is whispering and looking at us. Kyo, what are you doing?

We are now here in the canteen and up until now they have been looking at us. Kyo is sitting next to me on my right side and Gill is on my left side. In front of us are Zyreel, Jenlyn and Vyrone. And Zyreel looked at me in question. I know what she is thinking. I didn't know how to tell it. I didn't know what just happened. We are now on this table. Suddenly, we are now closed. Vyrone bought the food, and we are now eating. No one is speaking, it's been quiet since the food came.

''Did you see the group chat?'' Vyrone said.

''What did it say?'' Zyreel said while eating her spaghetti. Before Vyrone answered her, he got the tissue and wiped it onto Zyreel's face because of the sauce. Zyreel was stunned after Vyrone did that. Actually, we were all stunned by what Vyrone did.

''It says that there is no class for today because they are busy with an upcoming event at our school. So where do you all want to go?'' He said.

''Actually I have tickets here for an amusement park. I won 6 tickets and I think you can have one.'' Jenlyn said tickets and gave us the tickets.

''Wow Jenlyn thank you!'' I said. I have never been to an amusement park. That is why I look so happy right now. It's my first time going on it.

''When do you want everyone to go?'' Gill asked. Everyone was looking and everyone said ''why not today?'' And because of that we laughed. Jinx.

We decided to go to an amusement park today, but Zyreel said that she wanted to go home and change into an outfit. So we decided to meet here in front of school at exactly 1pm since it was still morning. After that, I went home also, but Gill and Kyo were following me. I am just walking since my apartment is near to my school. I look at them and they both stop. I don't know why these two are so close. I wanted to walk alone but they are annoying. They both said that they wanted me to be safe. Really why?

''Come on, why do you both like to take me home?'' I said.

''I am not following you. I am following Gill.'' Kyo said and looked at Gill.

''I have been following Annie since I wanted to talk to her alone.'' Gill said.

''Okay.'' Kyo said and walked away. What a bipolar guy. I looked at Gill ''Why do you want to talk to me alone?'' I asked. I walked towards the bench near the park.

''How do you know Kyo?'' He asked.

''I know his sister.'' I said. I looked at my watch. It's 10am in the morning. Gill needs to go home to prepare later for our meet up. ''Is there anything you want to say?'' I asked Gill since he was not satisfied by my answer. ''Alex is not my girlfriend'' He said and I looked at him, why? ''Why are you saying this?'' I said. He looked at me in my eyes. He looked like he wanted to say more but he couldn't. I tapped his shoulder ''You don't need to explain, Gill'' I said and stood up. ''I need to go. See you later!'' I said and smiled. I walked away and he was just sitting there. I don't know what I am feeling right now. I don't have feelings for Gill. It is just a phase, as I said to myself. I don't have time for this. I have something going on and falling in love is not part of it. I don't want to love them because I am scared that someday they will leave me. I don't want that kind of pain anymore. I don't want to lose anyone again in my life. Not anymore.
