Faith's P.O.V

I was sat in the front room enjoying a cold glass of wine when the front door was swung open wide, Ava came running in and took to the stairs without so much as a hello. Cole came walking in looking distraught “Cole what's happening?” I ask concerned for my daughter, he looks down to the floor “honestly Faith I don't know, she had a vision I think, she became inconsolable I'v never seen her like this, she demanded we come back to keep me safe” he said his voice cracking slightly “I'll go talk to her” he nodded his head and sat down on the sofa.  

I walked to Ava's room and tapped the door lightly I could hear muffled cries “Ava it's mom can I come in” as I said it I heard the door lock click, I walked into the room and Ava's eyes were bright red and puffy “Oh sweetheart what happened?” she looked to the floor and shook her head “mom I had a vision and in it there was a women I seemed to know her as I called her by her name raven, she asked me to break and I told her I couldn't because he skinned my mate alive” she crumbled to the floor crying as if her heart had broken.

“sweetheart, visions don't always come true we can see the future but they can be warnings for us to change, you need to be strong don't allow these visions to cloud your judgement like this, Cole is your mate you can't push him away like this to keep him safe, I know your scared sweetheart let him in” I say to her hoping to make her feel better, she sniffles wiping the tears from her face “really?” she asks me “yes sometimes petal, it's worth a try isn't it and if not shouldn't you make the most of being with Cole whilst you can? Open up to him darling he feels lost” I say.  

She looks into my eyes and I see her cold blue flecks I know her fey is trying to search for any lies in my words, when she couldn't find any she closed in on me and hugged me tightly “I'm scared mom, what if I loose you all?” she asks me. It breaks my heart hearing her so defeated I pull back lifting her chin up to look at me “Ava I've learnt being an oracle, that no matter what happens in the future we have to focus on what is happening in the present, if you do loose any of us in the future I know your strong enough to endure it!” I was hoping to give her confidence she needed to push this vision to the back of her mind. I put my hand out for her to take “come on Ava you need to talk to Cole” she nodded and took my hand.

We walked downstairs and saw Cole sat on the sofa his head in his hands, he looked warn out, his hair dishevelled, his hands uncontrollably shaking. Ava instantly walked to him and wrapped her arms around him, his eyes where red and puffy and he looked beyond sad as he wrapped his arms around Ava he buried his head into her neck and they sat silently crying for a while. I walked out of the living room into the back garden to give them some space Adrien came out to me “what's going on with Ava and Cole I thought they were staying at the lodge?” he asked, I took a breath before telling him about Ava's vision his eyes flecked ice cold blue.

“I couldn't imagine what she's feeling right now Faith, if anything happened to you I would be a broken man, so for her to go through that it must be heart breaking” his voice broken and cracking at even the idea of loosing me “I'm concerned Adrien I know her powers are kicking in because of mine being blocked but she's picking up on one's that are further ahead than we know, she's so powerful what if they do find her?” I asked Adrien, his hand on the small of my back as he sat down next to me he released a sigh“this is why I have been training her so hard Faith I want her to be mentally and physically strong, she's already been able to harmonise her Fey and Lycan and it is evident she will be able to surpass me with powers, our daughter will be difficult to manipulate by the enemy” I could hear the pride he held in his voice for our daughter.  

I held his hand tightly and looked into his eyes his Lycan now in play with his gold flecks “she may be strong Adrien but she is still young, she is lacking in experience, I know she is good at anticipating other people's attacks but we have no idea what or who were dealing with and to be honest the fact I can't see it makes me feel useless” I said honestly, Adrien caressed my cheek “Faith you are the one that has always been strong, you are the one that made me feel safe, you helped me control my impulses and show me a better way to be patient, I think you should train with Ava, help her learn how to control herself and how to search her visions” he said to me. Right there and then I realised I am not useless this is something I could do, show my daughter how to use her powers!

We hugged and Adrien kissed my head, walking back into the front room hand in hand, we saw Ava snuggled up with Cole watching something on the Tv. I cleared my throat and both of them sat up blushing slightly “Ava me and your Dad have been talking and we both agree it would be good for you to work on your oracle powers, so you can force a vision or shut out the ones you don't want to see” Ava's eyes widened and so did Cole's “Really? I can do that?” Ava asked looking confused “but I'm not supposed to be able to use them yet am I?” Ava asked trying to make sure she had heard me right “Ava my powers aren't working, yours are we have to take advantage of that” I stated flatly, Cole looked at Ava reassuringly “I think you should do it Ava, you can't keep having them, the way you are it's tearing you apart” he said looking deeply into her eyes. I turned to Adrien and he was wearing a smile nodding gently at me “Okay mom I'll try” Ava said, I smiled at her “I'm so proud of you petal, get some rest for now, we've prepared a room on the top floor for you and Cole to share” I said to Ava and Cole they both shared a smirk at each other before Ava hugged me and her dad “Goodnight mom and dad we will see you in the morning” Ava said “Morning run normal time you guys” Adrien added before they went to bed.

Ava's P.O.V

I have no idea what is going on again right now, my parents want me to train to use my oracle powers and have also given me and Cole a whole floor to ourself not just a room to share but a home, did they get abducted and change whilst we were at the lodge? The floor was like our very own apartment, A good sized living room that was open plan painted sage, consisting of a large leather sofa, an oak coffee table and a big Tv, we had a small grey kitchen with sage tiles, we walked towards our bedroom there was a king sized bed and a huge walk in closet, we also had a large bathroom and a smaller spare room, it was perfect but soft furnishing left to the bare minimum so we could put our own stamp on it.

“So how are you feeling now?” Cole asked me walking closer, I really didn't know how to answer but thought I'd take some advice from my mom “Cole can we sit down and talk please” I asked looking down to the floor still not sure how to start this conversation, he held my hand “Ava I'm here, if you want to talk we can, if your not ready I understand, I just want to help you” said Cole. I lifted my head and looked at him, his deep dark brown eyes looked deeply concerned, we sat down on the large sofa. He held both my hands and looked on at me with adoring eyes, I began to talk quietly I wanted to tell him but there was still a part of me that was holding back.

“Cole” I sighed “uhm in my vision” tears started to fill my eyes and my breath became ragid “you erm well uh” sobs began to fill me and breathing became so difficult to finish my sentence “ you where dead” I rushed it out, I took a deep breath and Cole held me close wiping away my tears with his thumb, “I was talking to a woman called raven and she was asking me why I wouldn't let him break me” I became stiff again remembering the horrid images that then filled my mind, my breath coarse and hard “I said he skinned you alive in front of me, I felt my heart broke the moment I heard those words come out of my own mouth and I'm sorry but it was paralysing” I felt myself crumbling again, tears flooding soaking my face, until I felt his warmth wrap around me, he lifted my chin so I was facing him.  

“Ava thanks for telling me but there's something you need to understand about the mate bond” he said whilst wiping away my tears again “I feel the same pain you feel, especially now where mated, I felt your anguish and fear when you had that vision” he rubbed his hand down my back “I can honestly say I would feel the same way if the shoe was on the other foot, I love you with everything I have” Cole instantly made me feel better, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him towards me Cole smiled and stroked my hair “I love you too” I said kissing him gently on his cheek “Cole there's something else when I bit you back at the lodge I saw the first moment we met through your eyes” I said, he chuckled, he pulled his shirt down “yes you marked me back there, I saw the first time you realised you loved me through your eyes when I marked you” he said, I looked at his shoulder it had my initials AC. All that's left now is to enjoy the time I have with him, to not take anything for granted. 

Meanwhile I need to learn how to use all these powers “Cole it's time I learn to use all of my powers, It's time I zone in on all of them” he smiles and caresses my cheek “Ava you are brave, strong and limitless, you can do anything, I believe in you” he wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me close kissing me gently, there's nothing I won't do to change his fate, to keep him with me always. “Cole can I ask you a question about the mate bond?” I say, he chuckles and nods his head “why do you think we were matched? and do you think we would of fell in love without it?” he analyses my expression for a moment “Ava you are everything I could ever want in a mate and yes I do think I would of loved you regardless, fate doesn't force us to be together, there has to be something there in the first place” he says smiling at me I nod my head and smile to him, “do you think we should go see how comfortable this bed of ours is?” he says smiling

Unknown P.O.V

“What happened Faiban I thought you were going to bring her to me, so her father has no choice but to fall into my trap!” asked Azakel seething with rage throwing his hands up in the air.

“Please father I tried my best but she has too many people around her, I followed her out of school and her Alpha wolf mate tackled me to the ground, I don't know what's so special about this girl to have the Fey riled like this” pleaded Faiban. “Maybe your just scared of getting your hands dirty young prince, I am the most powerful demon of the underworld, you are my son Faiban I have the evil witch on our side how much more help do you need?” Azakel asked anger lacing his venomous tongue.

“Father she's no longer at her house, I checked! she's also no longer attending school, I assumed she would of disappeared with him to be his Luna but neither are there I have a girl on the inside, it has to do with the Fey they must be protecting her” Faiban replied anxiously to his father, Azakel walked around in a small circle stroking his beard pondering on his son's words “She's a Fey Faiban her father, he's a hybrid and was the future king of the Fey, that's why there protecting her! Bring me her Fey friend that shouldn't be too difficult we can interrogate her she will tell me exactly how to get my hands on her” Azakel said, a smirk tugging on the corner of his lips “Yes father I'll also get in touch with Amiee she may also have some information for us” Faiban said smiling.

Azakel walked towards Faiban and put his hand firmly on his shoulder “Don't make me have to drag the vampires in on this again Faiban” he said with a scowl firmly on his face, “I know there stubborn king wants Adrien for his own greed, I wont allow it! I just want to annihilate him so we can become the most powerful supernatural family, we have strong allies son but we trust no one, do you understand?” he asked Faiban with a serious stern face. Faiban didn't answer his father this time instead he stood trembling nodding his head.  

Faiban had his own dark secret, he knew where Ava was but he couldn't bare to bring her to his father. He was deeply in love with her and even if she was with Cole he knew she was safe and that was all that mattered to him right now. Unfortunately for Lana she was about to become the distraction for his father, so that Ava could stay safe and hopefully train as hard as she could for when he could no longer distract his fathers attention from her or her powers.  

Lana's P.O.V

Ava mind linked me this morning she had a tone of urgency to her voice, She wants to learn more about her powers and what she can do now her fey has harmonised with her Lycan. We are now allies of her pack and being her best friend I will do anything I can to help her. Stepping into Dark moon pack as it's now called felt odd today, there wasn't as many people on the training field. The scenery felt eerily quiet. “Ava where is everyone?” I mind linked her, “there patrolling the borders and the pack house were staying in Lana I'll explain when you get here” she mind linked back. What ever was happening in the darkness I could feel it coming sooner than we all expected, the mating and joint Alpha crowning ceremony was scheduled for in two days time but at the moment it felt more like a ghost town than a community. I arrived at Ava's pack house and she walked out onto the patio to greet me. “We will have to train in the pack gym for today Lana it's safer” she said, I could sense fear within her and I need to know why. 

“Okay Ava you need to tell me what has you so scared you won't be able to focus on your powers if your holding onto emotions, it's not the fey way” I said, her eyes turned ice cold “Lana I am the oldest fey and I'm well aware of what the fey way is, It's got twisted since I was first created we are not merciless killers as your ancestors will have you believe, we are kind, caring and honest people, this is what pulled you and Ava together out of all our people you are the purist of heart” Isla said and I felt an overwhelming surge of dominance, yes Isla was able to take control of Ava, yet Ava had to learn how to tap into Isla's powers to know how to use them if she had to, she has her speed, her ability to sense peoples true intentions, she has even managed to will regrowth but there is more to being a fey than this. We are bonded to mother nature and with Isla being of the first fey she was gifted with more power than any of us, she could call on the elements and bend them to her will.

We entered the gym and Ava turned to face me “Lana I'm sorry I didn't mean to allow Isla to speak to you that way, I am going through a lot at the moment. I'm not only training my Lycan and Fey but the Oracle essence that lays within me. My mom's powers are being blocked but they do not know about my true abilities yet and I need to use them to our advantage. The reason for the extreme security measures are because of visions I have been having. They are coming Lana and we are desperately running out of time”Ava said, It took me a moment to take in all that Ava had said but I know now why she is behaving this way.

“We need a bottle of water, a leaf, some dirt and most importantly something you don't mind burning” I said to Ava she turned to her personal guard and he rushed out of the room. “so these visions they've got you rattled hey” I said not wanting to pry but I am her best friend I wanted to show my concern, she sighed “Lana I had a vision Cole was dead” she said, a lone tear escaping her eye, she wiped it off and held back onto the un shed ones “Oh Ava I'm so sorry I didn't want to upset you” I said putting my hand on her shoulder, I'm not great at consoling people as I have never been shown softness by anyone.  

The guard came back with all I had asked, I picked up the leaf first “Ava first your going to concentrate on the leaf, you need to call on mother nature herself allow her to flow through you, do this and the wind element will give you the power to lift the leaf” I said to Ava. I could see the concentration in her eyes they were bright aqua to start with, then they glowed gold and ice blue, soon they turned silver and the leaf lifted off the ground. I saw excitement flicker through her face, she soon controlled the wind blowing through my hair and tickling her personal guard with the leaf. She smiled and giggled to herself “Okay that was cool” she said, I nodded my head she is amazing “Okay now the dirt this should be easy as you resurrected blossoms on a tree before, concentrate on the dirt grow vines this will enable you to tangle and restrict your enemies, you can also create protection around yourself” I said and an evil glint flashed through her eyes, she obviously already had someone in mind.  

Once again she concentrated this time she hovered her hand above the dirt, at first the dirt swirled and then it parted as thick vines grew from it she weaved them to grow high entangling into each other as she did it “good now imagine them disappearing” I said as she did this they turned back to dirt and fell onto the floor. “That was awesome Lana, how do you know how to do all this?” she asked “Ava were taught this from very young in our training, however not all of us are granted to bend the elements” I said, she seemed shocked by this “Right now the water this is the hardest of the elements because it is not solid, you need to concentrate on the water and imagine it becoming hard so you can use it, once ice you can create snow storms, ice daggers and once advanced even thunder storms with the water from the clouds in the sky” I said, sparking an interest within Ava.

“I can do that?” she asked, “Not everyone can but with the powers you possess and the fey who resides within you I have no doubt in you, I believe you can do anything, even create fire with your mind if you wanted to” I said to Ava, who at this point had a face full of awe “Okay I'm going to give it a go” she said, She was stirring deeply at the water, it began to turn from water into slush and then a block of ice. “Good, good Ava, now lift the ice with the wind, and mould it into what you want it to be” I said, she concentrated on the cup for a moment. She lifted the cup of ice up into the air and the ice tipped out forming into an arrow, she flings it across the room and into the punch bag hanging up.

“Wow you did amazing Ava, how are you feeling now? I bet your a bit warn out” I said to her as she didn't look as full of energy as she did when I entered the pack house “Yeah I feel a bit weak but what about fire?” she asks, “It's okay I will teach you that next time” I say, “Okay come on we will go have something to eat, you can stay and hang out with me and Cole if you like” she says smiling at me, “Yeah sure that will be nice” I say as we are walking towards her kitchen, her dad was stood at the counter “How did she do Lana?” he asked me with enthusiasm in his voice, “she smashed through nearly every element including water turning it into an arrow” I said bragging about her progress, her dad smiled widely “Wow petal that's amazing your amazing, wait until I tell your mom” he says hugging Ava as he was saying it and ruffling her hair. 

I couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of there relationship they were so close and loving towards each other, Iv never received a hand on the shoulder from my parents nor a smile and a hug would be completely out of the question. As I was lost in my thoughts Adrien walked towards me and wrapped his arms around me I stiffened I didn't know what was happening “thank you Lana for everything you have done for us, for my daughter you truly are like a second daughter to me” he said, I felt my eyes fill with wetness and my body with warmth, I felt my body relax and I responded to his hug “Erm yeah thank you Adrien for letting me be apart of it” I said feeling overwhelmed that this man should have been our king and here he is hugging me and thanking me for my help.  

Ava took my hand “Lana I have a question for you, It's okay if you don't want to, I'v already asked so much from you but, will you be my beta?” she asked, I looked at her questionably “Your what sorry?” I said not understanding what she was asking of me “My beta, I am the Alpha of my pack and even though we've merged and I am going to be a Luna both me and Cole agreed we should both have Beta's and I can't think of anyone I would rather have, it's a pack thing. We have people who we trust to help us make decisions ect” she says, looking at me longingly waiting for a reply “But Ava I'm not a wolf or a lycan” I say to her “No and I'm not full Lycan I'm part fey and I think I should be allowed a fey as my Beta” she replied, I never actually thought about that I smiled at her “yes of course I would be honoured” I say to her, she squealed in glee “Yayyy” she said before embracing me in another hug but this time I wasn't so stiff and hugged her back instantly.  

Training with Ava had gone amazing today and I was brimming with pride, I had helped her with her element work and that she picked it up so quickly. She had also chose me to be her Beta , even though I doubt my family will care that I'm going to be moving out, I'm not so sure they will be so understanding of me becoming a hybrid's Beta. I guess I can keep that bit out for now, I walk to my car that's within the dark moon's pack but as I get closer I can feel something dark approaching me. I stand in my attack pose but before I can react I'm froze by a demon!

Then a green mist appeared and I felt my body transport, I couldn't scream or shout to let anyone know I was in danger and now I'm stood in what seems to be a prison cell, still frozen. My eyes are the only thing I can move on my own, the green mist fills the cell and I see a small woman with bright red hair and green eyes. As she approaches she winks. I then feel my arms being pulled above my head cuffs are attached to my wrists and hooked through something on the ceiling. I hear a familiar voice before I can see his face “thank you Amber and Xenon for your help” he says. I look ahead of me and what I think is a witch and a demon are stood outside of my cell, I wish I could conjure the elements right now I would even settle for screaming or shouting.

His eyes widen and he starts to walk the length of my cell running his hands across the bars as he does “I want Adrien but I will settle for his fey daughter for now” he answers, fey daughter hey is that what he thinks she is, I have to bite my lip to stop myself from laughing in his face. He is seriously under estimating his opponent and here he was doing all this research about fey it was hilarious and kind of pathetic even for a demon.  

I decide to play along and see what information I can get out of him “what makes you think I have that kind of power or even those kind of connections to get you her?” I ask trying to sound as nonchalant as I can, he laughs before walking closer to me “I know you can, I hear your always together at school you've formed quite a little bond with her, well before she went missing and I think I know exactly where she's hiding” he says with a smirk on his face, something feels off about all this. First I sense guilt in Faiban, now his dad seems to think Ava is just a fey and that she's hiding out with me in my territory, when Faiban's just had me captured from hers.

I'm feeling bold so I delve a little deeper “ I don't know if you've heard but us fey we don't do bonds we also don't do friends, our first rule is trust no one. We would kill our own parents if they crossed us so if I get her for you, what do you plan on doing with her and if I do what's in it for me?” I answer cold heartedly. His eyes widen and a smile spreads across his face “Oh I thought it would be harder than this I honestly thought I would have to torture you to get her here to me, honestly between me and you I don't care about her I just want kill her hybrid of a father” he says ushering Faiban away from his side, he turned and walked towards the big door.  

“The vampires would prefer to use his powers for themselves the greedy bloodsucking pricks, where as I just want him gone he is the only thing standing between me and my own from becoming the most powerful of the supernatural race, I can make you queen of the underworld” he answers, with a slightly perverted look on his face, bingo I could tell he meant every single word as well. What he doesn't realise is that I mind linked Ava when he thought I was trying to conjuror the elements and told her what had happened, plus what he has just said.

“Lana keep him talking for a bit, I have a plan in motion. I'v contacted Auntie Emilia and where going to play him at his own game” I close my eyes for a moment to mind link back “okay” I release a deep breath “how do I know I can trust you? Iv already said what our number one rule is and I don't even know your name” I say the last bit in a flirtatious way as everyone knows with demons s*x is there weakness “My name is Azakel and take a good look you can see I am not lying, I will happily show you, now how” he licks his lips and gives me smouldering look. “how happy I can make you as my queen” 

Cold shivers run through me I was disgusted by his comment but I don't show him that he makes me feel sick “Whilst I'm still chained up Azakel? Not a good way of winning someone's trust” I say emphasising chains as much as I can knowing there into some b**m s**t. His eyes glow black for a moment and I know I have his full attention now “Oh but Lana chains are the best bit” he says biting his lip ever so slightly.  

Faiban clears his throat and all I can think is how immaculate his timing is right now, I pretend to seem annoyed that he had disrupted our heated conversation and to say Azakel was pissed would be an understatement. “What is it Faiban? Can't you see we were discussing terms” his eyes looked like pools of lava. “I'm sorry king I just assumed you would be interrogating her, I grew alarmed when I didn't hear any screaming” he answered, whilst winking at me while his head was bowed down.  

“A few more minutes and you would have been” he said, under his breath but I heard him easily “you i***t, me and Lana here were just discussing the perks of being my queen” he said, whilst running his hands through his hair, Ava was pulling on the mind link and whilst Azakel continued to scowled his son I decided to open it “Lana tell him you will take him to your territory everything is set up to take him out” she speaks clearly. I clear my throat “Azakel we can discuss me being your queen more once I have got you your bait, I don't like her father he is a mutt, a mongrel a half breed and needs dealing with” I say, eyeing him with my sexiest eyes I could muster.

He clicks his fingers and the handcuffs are gone and he's by my side, he pulls me into him and kisses me deeply pushing his tongue into my mouth, I put my hand round the back of his neck and pull him tighter into me. “Maybe we can use those cuffs when we get back” I say winking at him, he slaps my ass “I like this one Faiban you should of made a move on her she's hot and feisty” he says, eating putty out of my hands. “How does your teleporting work” I ask him “I will hold onto you, and you just imagine where you want us to go” he says.  

He pulls me into him tight and I wrap my arms around his neck again, “Okay here we go” I say biting his earlobe before I know it were stood in the clearing of my territory “come on we have to move quickly, she will be in the training field now” I say, in a hushed voice. Before he could move Adrien was stood behind him, grabbing his head in his hands tight he twists his neck and pops his head off like taking the cork out of the bottle. “Well that was easier than I thought, he really was a dip s**t and definitely driven by his c**k” I say, Adrien chuckled at me.

We get back to dark moon pack and Ava comes running out of the house “you are not leaving my side again am I clear” she says hugging me tightly “calm down, Ava I'm pretty sure Cole doesn't want me tucked in your bed” I say laughing. Adrien puts his hand on my shoulder “I would feel much better if you stayed with us in the pack house Lana, your like my second daughter and I wouldn't feel safe you travelling back on your own” he says. I shrug my shoulders “fine” I say “You can stay in my old room” Ava says “I will have extra guards around the territory and we will get some demon alarms sorted inside the pack house as well” Adrien finishes, but it's no longer the demons that are the threat but the vampires.
