A DATE WITH THE PRINCE
Luna’s POV
In the next few weeks, I bury myself into training ignoring James’s Ryker’s constant bickering for my attention. Until I finally had enough.
Luna: I’ve had enough of your bickering both of you guys just quit it already, I'm at the point where if you two don't work out your issues together I’m going to reject you both as my mate.
They look at each other and then at me and they both apologize.
Prince James: Sorry, you’re right.
King Ryker: I’m sorry, you’re right.
They walk away and begin to talk.

Ryker and James walk off to find some kind of compromise where they both can have a chance to win the position of being Luna’s mate.
King Ryker: James we need to figure out a way of communicating and come to some kind solution where we both get to spend time with Luna giving her a fair chance at choosing one of us as a mate.
Prince James: You’re right, all we’ve managed to do is make her despise our constant arguing.
King Ryker: Well this can go one of two ways. One, we can let her get to know us both by courting her. At different times of course, or two, we can fight, and the winner gets to be Luna’s mate. I’ll admit that the second one is a bit old school, but it's how wolves currently handle these matters. As for us Lycans, we can be civil, but if you choose the second I will not hold back and I expect the same of you.
Prince James: As much as I prefer the second one, I don't think Luna would be happy with our choice. I suggest we be civil for her sake and let her get to know us. This is her choice after all.
King Ryker: Sounds good to me. My question now is who will take her out first?
Prince James smiles like the best idea just popped in his head.
Prince James: Well I have an idea. What if we race and the winner gets to take her out first, or we just toss a coin?
King Ryker: (Laughing) Do you know how childish this is?
Prince James: Yes, but I don't hear any better ideas from you.
King James: Fine, we’ll race, winner takes her out first.
They shake hands and get ready to race.
They decide to involve Rose and Michael to witness the race.
Rose: So let me get this right, You want Michael and I to witness this race so one of you guys can take Luna out on a date first?
Beta Michael: (Laughing) You guys know how dumb this is right?
King Ryker: (Sighs) Trust me, I know but this is all his idea.
Prince James: I know, but are you going to be there or not?
Rose: Fine, I'm in, but heads up I’m team, Ryker.
Beta Michael: I’m in too, and I’m Switzerland for now. I’ll give Queen Luna my final opinion when she asks, but just know, I will be watching you both.
King Ryker: Not a Problem. I’m an open book.
Prince James: Same here. I have no skeletons in my wardrobe.
Beta Michael: Good. I want you both to race around the perimeter and do sixty laps, the first one to finish wins.
Prince James: I thought we were going to race?
Rose: Yeah, but that would have been too easy. You guys need to break a sweat.
King Ryker: Ich bin dabei.
Rose James and Michael all look at Ryker with a confused look
and respond at the same time.
Rose: Huh?
Beta Michael: Huh?
Prince James: Huh?
Ryker laughs then translates for them.
King Ryker: (Laughing) It means count me in.
They all nod saying “Oh!”
Prince James and King Ryker warm-up before they have to race
around the perimeter sixty times.
At the end of the fifty-ninth lap, King Ryker started to slow down, and Prince James won.
Prince James was so ecstatic he won. He left right away after being congratulated to go shower. Later he called Luna and asked her if he can take her out tonight at 8 pm. When she said yes he hurried to prepare for his date with Luna.

Luna’s POV
I was surprised to get a call from Prince James to go on a date.
I have to admit I'm excited, but I’m also nervous. This must mean both Ryker and James compromised and decided to let me get to know them better.
I honestly thought they were going to fight each other, the winner would’ve been my mate at least that's how they do it here. I get ready I ask Rose for help since I have no clue where I am going yet and I'm afraid to over or underdress.
Rose: Since it's been getting chillier how about you try this dress on?
Rose pulls out an off the shoulder Champagne colored solid 3/4th sleeves sheath sexy midi dress.
Luna: What about shoes?
Rose goes into my closet and comes out with a pair of pink mesh stiletto heel pump peep toe with Rhinestones.
Rose: Relax! How about these?
Luna: I forgot I had those. It matches the dress perfectly. But wait what if we are just going to dinner and a movie and I’m overdressed?
Rose: Lulu chill. He’s taking you out on a date, and we all know this is your first date plus he’s too flashy and fancy to just do a simple dinner and a movie. Remember he wants to show you what it will be like when you're mated to him.
Luna: Ugh, I’m just so nervous. What time is it? Prince James said he’ll be here at 8 pm.
Rose: Don't worry we have enough time to do loose waves and a nude makeup look.
Just before Rose is done with my hair there is a knock on my front door.
My mom greets Prince James and invites him in.
Evangeline: Good evening Prince James Luna will be right down.
Prince James: Ok, Thank you.
As I am I heading down the stairs, I see Prince James waiting for me at the foot of the steps wearing a black Tom Ford Windsor Base Peak-Lapel Tuxedo.
Prince James: Wow, I mean Good Evening My Queen, you look beautiful tonight. Not that you don't look beautiful all the time you just look…
Seeing James' trip over his words is so cute I can’t help but giggle a bit.
Luna: Thank you, Prince James, you look handsome as always too. Shall we go?
Prince James: Uh, yes right this way.
James escorts me into the passenger side of his red Ferrari. He rushes over to the driver’s seat, and just before taking off he buckles his seat belt I try to do the same, but I struggle a bit before he asks if he can help.
Prince James: May I?
I nod my head allowing him to help. As he reaches over to my side to grab the belt his hand grazes my hand lightly before buckling my belt, it was enough to send sparks through me from where I skin touched. I clench my thighs in fear James will smell my arousal since his scent is overpowering my senses, I look up and see his deep blue eyes filled with lust.
Shit I know he smells my arousal. James grips the steering wheel until his knuckles go white.
I try to break the awkward silence.
Luna: Um, what do you have planned for tonight?
James relaxes a bit.
Prince James: Don't worry we're almost there. You’ll love it, I promise.
Luna: OK.
A short while later James slows up to this oceanfront restaurant.
He escorts me out of the car and as we go inside the restaurant everyone looks at us and bows. I look to James in confusion.
Prince James: This restaurant is Lycan owned and they all know you are their Queen.
Luna: Oh, Ok.
The host takes us to our table, but I'm in awe of the beautiful view of the ocean. James pulls my seat out for me, I sit and see there are beautiful candle lights all around our little secluded area of the restaurant's balcony.
Prince James: (Smiles) You Like?
Luna: Like? Is an understatement it's beautiful here. I love it.
Prince James: I knew you would.
The waitress comes to our table and bows then tells us what the specials are before asking us if we are ready to order.
Waitress: Are your majesties ready to order?
Prince James: Yes, I will have the Duck Confit, and a bottle of Pinot Noir Rosé, please.
Luna: And I will have the Halibut, please, Thank you.
The waitress pours our wine into our glasses and walks away.
Prince James: How about we make a toast?
Luna: OK, how about a toast to getting to know each other better?
Prince James: I was actually hoping for a toast along the lines of having many more moments where we get to spend time together like this?
Luna: Ok, how about a toast to us having more moments together while getting to know each other?
Prince James: I’ll toast to that, Cheers!
Luna: Cheers!
We get to know a bit more about each other. I find out he has a twin sister named Julia, but she is sickly that's why she didn't come to the states with them.
Shortly after the waitress comes out with our meals which smells amazing.
Luna: Wow, this looks and smells amazing.
Prince James: It does smell amazing, but your scent is more intoxicatingly delicious and I’d prefer to be tasting you then this meal.
I feel my blush rise to my face, I clench my thighs as the image of his words cross my mind.
I look at James only to see his eyes go dark with lust. I look down before he can notice my eyes have gone red again.
Shit, I feel my canines breaking through my gums. I stay quiet and try to eat without him noticing my reaction.
Prince James: (Smirks) You ok there you’ve gone quiet?
I simply nod and continue to eat quietly hoping I can calm myself down.
Prince James: (Smirks) Don't be embarrassed, we’re mates, so it's only natural for you to be affected by me and I you.
Luna: Do I affect you? I never really noticed.
Prince James: Yes, of course, you do. Just because my eyes don't glow red, and you don’t notice my canines elongate doesn’t mean I’m not affected.
Luna: When your eyes go black is that cause of me?
Prince James: Yes, so you have noticed?
Luna: (Smirks) Maybe.
After we finished dinner James decides for us to go on a walk on the beach.
Prince James: I have a surprise for you.
Luna: Uhm, OK, what is the surprise?
Prince James: Look up to the sky right there.
James points to where I am supposed to look, and right on Q, the fireworks begin.
Prince James: Don't forget to read it.
I look to James for a moment then back at the fireworks.
I see the words “Choose Me As Your Mate”
Luna: Oh James, tonight was amazing, but I simply can’t give you a decision right now. I’m sorry.
Prince James: I know it's too soon and we're still getting to know each other, and don't be sorry. I hope tonight makes your decision easier later though.
Luna: Me too.
James takes me home and before I go inside he leans in and grabs my hips, kissing me gently yet passionately before saying Good night.
