Chapter Nine Madison arrived at the pharmacy and began the usual morning regime. She completed her duties of tidying up the counter and getting ready for the customers. Today was Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon, the store closed early to complete the weekly inventory. As Madison waited on her customers, her thoughts continually veered back to her father and the predicament that she had gotten herself into. She prayed that her father would be able to straighten things out for her. She was now glad that he knew. Maybe he could get this resolved, and she wouldn't have to worry about losing her pharmacy license and possibly, in the worst-case scenario, going to jail.
