Chapter Twenty-Nine Ralph Henry sat behind the rustic-looking desk at the New Orleans Sheriff's Department. Sheriff Lee had loaded the desk down with files of pending cases. Henry didn't know where to start. The responsibility that the Sheriff had assigned to him was monumental. Henry felt extremely overwhelmed. He wondered for a moment if the sheriff was doing this on purpose in order to discourage him. Henry was determined not to let this get the best of him.
