CHAPTER 52

All of them run away as they leave those people who are chasing after them under the company of the beast. There was a huge raucous and because of this this caught attention from other animals. They were all getting devoured but none of that matters to the boss of their group. Although they managed to pry away the smaller beasts using some of their magics the larger ones are still adamant "Don't you just stand there and go after them!" However, their group was soon subdued because they didn't know that the beasts in this forest are all magical; they are immune to any type of magic attacks and the only thing that can kill them is a powerful physical attack. But of course none of them manage to defeat those magical beasts. In the end they were slaughtered like mice in the territory of a cat. Blanche and the children managed to get away without getting any attention from other animals. But because of her wounds they weren't able to get far from them but still they managed to get to a safe place where they can rest. "Sister, your wounds!" Stephen explained when he saw the statue of their sister who has blood all over her and her dress is drenched. "I'm fine–" but just after those words left Blanche's mouth she dropped to the ground face first. "Sister!" They all let out an audible series of gasps. "Mildred, please treat her wounds." Lino said he helped Stephen to carry their sister under a tree. Mildred was hesitant but still managed to utter, "I… I don't think I can patch her wounds." She said as she scanned her current state. Kim saw both fear and hesitancy on Mildred's face so she decided to step up and say, "I will handle her." And then she went to her side and started to clean up her wounds. "But we need water first. I can't clean her up without any of that." She mumbled. "But we have water for each of us so we can share that for the meantime." Stephen suggested and began to bring out his own water. *Thank you, Stephen." Kim thanks him and begins to clean her wounds but after a while the water is getting less and less to the point that it's not enough. "The water is not enough anymore." Kim muttered. Stephen nodded and replied, "Ok will get you the water you need." He didn't hesitate to speak up and stood. "Wait Stephen, where are you going?" Lino grabbed his shoulder before he could walk away. "I'm going to get water, stay here and don't let anyone be a stray." He gently spoke. "No you stay here, Mildred, Dean, and I will go to take the water." He retorted, but Stephen only gave him a confused look. "Come on, you will not fool anyone here, if it all goes down to it we need to run and you, you're like Mildred but the jogging version." The three only chuckled at their jokes. "You're so mean," Stephen only sighed but he knew they were right so he let them be. Mildred, Dean, and Lino set out to get water; they were careful not to make any loud noises and still fast enough so they wouldn't be late. While they are on their way they notice that there are no marks of any beast who are currently living on that side of territory. "I think we are safe here," Lino said as he kept his eyes on their surroundings while Mildred got the water from a stream. "I think so too," Dean agreed. "I don't see any marks of a beast on this side. But let me ask you a question." "Go on, what is it?" Lino responded without even batting an eye on him. "I was just curious because Stephen went and told us that when we are recuperating we should be in a place where an abundance of sources can be found. But looking at our site there's not even a single pea in our vicinity.". "Nice question you're getting observant now," Lino finally turned to face him. "You see, that was just a conclusion. He's right because if you're traveling you should get to a place where you can restock your needs. But with our situation that is on a whole different level, we didn't expect that there are beasts lurking in this place but when we did there was no time for us to create another plan to tell you that stopping at a stream of water is difficult." "How so?" "Water is needed by anyone so beasts will be lurking in a place where they can drink just like us." "Oh I see now I understand. But i'm amazed that you managed to explore this much." "Yeah but now that you are aware, I must tell you that we are on our own from this moment. This is the farthest we managed to explore." "So we are on our own…" They went back to where the rest of them were and gave the water to Kim. And she began treating Blanche again. But due to their current situation and all the running they have done, they are all tired so they decided to get some sleep. "I'll be on the lookout for now," Dean said. "You should go and get some rest." We "Thanks, Dean." Mildred said with heavy eyelids she didn't even try to argue with him because she's tired as well. "But wake me up if you feel sleepy, okay?" Blunch woke up with pain all over her body, "Ouch, my body is aching all over." She groaned but then her eyes immediately snapped open when she realized that they were still on the run. She darted her head from left to right only to find children lying around her because of these she thought that they were all dead but when she closed she looked at them she only found them sleeping. She let out a deep sigh that she never thought she was holding. "Sister you're awake," Dean silently exclaimed and hastily went to her side "How are you? How's your wounds?" "I'm fine thank you, did you treat my wounds?" Dean only shook his head from left to right, and went to look on the other side of Blanche where Kim is currently sleeping. "Kim did all of your wounds, she took the liberty to stitch up some of your deep wounds while you were asleep."
