Chapter 14: Reunited

I woke up to sunshine on my face and someone talking. I put my hand in front of my face to block the light and looked around. Maya and Jeremy were not in their sleeping bags anymore and I went to check where they are.

I walked into the kitchen and saw them sitting at the table across from each other, with cups in front of them. There was another one on the counter and I picked it up. It was still hot.

I sat down next to them and quietly sipped on my coffee, while they talked about their plans for when we go back home.

"I will put the books into my office, just to be safe and you are welcome anytime to read them," Jeremy told us and I planned to do so.

"Thank you, I work in the afternoon, so I can't help carrying them, otherwise I would." Maya apologetically said.

"I have plans, but if you need help, I wouldn't mind moving them or canceling." I'm sure Sebastian wouldn't agree, but Jeremy can't know about us.

"No, it's fine. I can do it by myself. It's not that much. You go where you have to, it's not a big deal." Jeremy smiled at me.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to think I'm getting lazy." I stood up and washed my cup before drying it and placing it back in the cupboard.

"I'm sure. Go have fun. It's going to take me 10 minutes to do it, no big deal." Jeremy and Maya both stood up and washed their cups as well.

After, we packed our sleeping bags and everything else we brought with us and packed the car full. By then it was almost 10 a.m. and I was already starving.

We sat in the car and drove home, only stopping for breakfast. I couldn't wait to sleep in a normal bed again. Although I had a feeling that I wasn't going to get much sleep tonight.

When we came home, it was already 4 o'clock and Maya was officially late for her job. We dropped her off and she ran into the diner. Jeremy then turned towards me.

"Do you need me to drop you off somewhere as well?" He raised his eyebrow at me.

"If you wouldn't mind, can you drive me to the club? I don't want to walk there now, this trip took a toll on me." I was exhausted from the car ride and the sleeping bag. And I had food waiting for me, I didn't want it to get cold.

"Meeting with Mr. Stone, are we?" He grinned at me like he knew something.

"Who's Mr. Stone?" I had never heard that name before in my life.

"Sebastian." His grin got bigger.

"How did you..." He wouldn't even let me finish my sentence. "I'm the alpha. Did you really think I wouldn't know? Your whole room smells like him, even if he hadn't been in the house. Sometimes your clothes smell like him too, So I knew you two weren't just friends." He left me dumbfounded once again, with my mouth open from shock. How could I be so stupid to not notice?

"Sorry, I didn't mean to keep this a secret, it's just weird talking about this with you." I looked at my hands that were sitting on my lap.

"Oh, don't worry. It's not a big deal. You enjoy life as it was meant to be. No judgement on my part. I like Sebastian, he's nice and hardworking. I wouldn't mind him for you. Is he your mate?" This just got weirder fast.

"Um, no, he's not my mate, and I feel really weird talking to you about this stuff. I don't even know what we are, so please, can we talk about this another time?" I shifted in my seat, I felt so uncomfortable.

Jeremy just laughed and started driving towards the club. "Your face is the color of a tomato now. Fine, I'll drop it. You talk to me about it when you want. Until then, as if this conversation never happened." He moved his fingers across his mouth like zipping a zipper and then locking it. Now it was my turn to chuckle.

"Thank you, I appreciate it. And you. All that you do for me and I haven't shown you how much it means to me. I wouldn't even know how to begin, to be honest."

"You just live your life as you want, do what you want and everything will be worth it for me. Besides, you're part of the pack now, I kind of have to look out for you." We both chuckled and by then we were at the club. I hopped out and closed the door behind me.

I waved at Jeremy and began walking to Sebastian's building.

'Hey, I'm here. Are you coming down or should I just come up?' I thought about talking to him in person again.

'Yeah, I'm home. Just come up, you know where.'

I opened the door of the building and walked inside. I made my way up the stairs and to his apartment's door, which was already waiting open for me.

I stepped inside and the smell of lasagna hit my nose. Freshly baked as well.

I took off my shoes and jacket and walked into the kitchen. By now, I already knew where everything was.

"It smells so good, Sebastian," I spoke when I saw him cutting the pieces and placing them on the plates.

He put the plates with hot food on the table and walked towards me. I welcomed his embrace with open arms and he picked me up. I twisted my legs behind his back and adjusted myself better.

I could feel his hands on my body, one behind my back, hugging me, the other holding me by the leg.

It didn't take long before he stopped hugging me and started kissing me passionately.

"I missed you so much," he said between the kisses.

'I missed you too,' I told him through the mind link. I loved this thing, it's so useful.

"Where are we going? Shouldn't we eat first? I'm starving" I pouted my lip and he placed a quick kiss on it.

"We'll get to that, it's too hot to eat right away. First, we need to do something so I could concentrate on eating after. Don't worry, we'll be quick. I've been waiting all day for this." We reached his room and he placed me on the bed, immediately taking my top off. I took off his T-shirt and shorts, while he had to deal with my leggings.

When we were both in our underwear, he told me to lie down and I obeyed. He climbed on top of me and kissed me again. His hand found the hooks of my red lacy bra and undid it. With one swift motion, he pulled it away from me and flung it somewhere across the room.

"You wouldn't." He kissed me again.

"Fine, I promise to take care of you when we're done eating, but for now you'll have to wait." I left his hold and walked into the kitchen. I heard him groan and I smiled to myself.

By now, my lasagna was already cold and I didn't have the patience to reheat it so I ate it cold.
