The Once Rejected Luna

Luna

Steam sat on the mirror as I let the hot water pour over my body. Hearing my father’s voice made me feel better, I felt better with him knowing about Ryder. I felt better about everything I had gone through and what I must go through as I continue heading forward. Looking up at the shower head I knew I was about to become Luna and that I would have to prove to this pack that I have what it takes to lead beside Theon.

I turned the water off as I wrapped the black fluffy towel around my body. I had to admit, this pack house was nicer then the one back home. The bathroom alone was the size of my bedroom and the bedroom was twice the size holding a large king size bed in the center. My cheeks heated up as I thought about the passion I shared with Theon earlier. My heart picked up pace.

Laying on the bed was a beautiful lose fitting blood red dress. It looked almost medieval. Softly picking up the dress I ran my fingers over it. “So beautiful..” the material felt almost silk like but I knew it wasn’t silk. Sitting next to the dress was a letter from Theon. Picking it up, I smiled at it as I read it ‘Jade, I know there is a lot going on and I know we have a lot to deal with after tonight, but I knew from the moment I saw you that is wasn’t just the mate pull, pulling me towards you. Your beauty is like none other and I couldn’t be more thrilled that the Moon Goddess blessed me with you. I’m ready to spend the rest of my life with you. Tonight will be something we will never forget. Love Theon.’

I smiled at the note as I gently folded it back up and placed it in my night stand so I can read it whenever I need the extra encouragement.

Slipping into the red dress, I left my hair down as it reached down the middle of my back. A light knock came at the door followed by a soft voice “Luna?” Walking over I opened the door and smiled at the small petite girl standing on the other side “yes Lila?” Her brown hair was short in a pixie cut and her soft brown eyes looked up at me. “I was sent to come and get you for the Luna ceremony.” She was a very shy little girl who hasn’t found her mate as of yet. “You look very stunning Luna” she bowed softly.

Following Lila, I still had no idea what was in store for me once I reached the ceremonial area. All I know was it wasn’t like the luna ceremony back home. The luna ceremony back home was a simple one where the alpha and luna mark each other in front of everyone, then the rest of the night is filled with dancing has everyone gets to know the luna. Of course there are decorations and flowers, but I never heard of anything else. The luna ceremonies are and were always straight forward. Before I knew it Lila and I were now standing just outside the ceremonial circle.

Flowers of all different kinds decorated the outside of the circle. My eyes scanned the area taking in all of the beauty on the outside. I looked up at the fairy lights that looked as if they were dancing. The full moon shined brightly down upon us as well. I took a deep breath in as the beautiful smell of cedar and pine just freshly stroked in the campfire hit my nose. Standing under the moonlight in a loose fitting shirt and pants that looked like they should be loose fitting. His dark fluffy hair and those beautiful golden hazel eyes stood my king, my mate, the love of my life. My absolute everything.

He held his hand out to me as I felt myself being drawn to him. Stepping inside the circle, I felt the soft grass beneath my feet as I made my way to him. I placed my hand in his as he pulled me closer to him. “My beautiful little wolf” his voice was husky and I could see his wolf fighting to take over as his golden hazel eyes shined at me brightly. “My love” was all I could manage as I softly touched his cheek.

The pack gathered around the outside of the circle as the pack elders stepped forward. “The Blood Moon pack is gathered under the Moon Goddess. To honor not only the mating but to welcome our new luna.” Theon smiled down at me as the elder spoke up, looking at me “Jade Blackwood, do you accept to take on the Luna responsibilities? To not only protect but to up hold the respect of the members within?” I stood tall with the feeling of a million eyes on me. “I promise to uphold my responsibilities, to protect my pack, and to up hold the respect of each and every pack member within the pack walls.”

The elders smiled and I felt a chill shiver down my spine as Theon’s eyes were locked onto me. I knew it was his eyes. The elder spoke up again “Jade Blackwood, it is with great honor to not only welcome you into the Blood moon pack but to welcome you as our Luna!” The pack members smiled and started to get all giddy. “Now please shift before the pack for the final tradition that all Luna’s before you have taken.” Blushing deeply I stripped down to nothing. I could see Theon getting more restless as it was getting harder for him to fight Duncan.

Taking in the moon light, I felt the pull of the shift taking affect. The bending of bones, the pulling of muscles. All of it. It didn’t hurt, leaning forward I felt myself fall forward landing on my paws. I stood before everyone looking around. I could see the look of awe in their faces as they stared at me. Verena felt proud to be looked upon in this way and I had to admit so did I. Though I had to wonder if this was the different thing that Theon was talking about. I could hear the elder speak up over the crowd “Alpha King Theon, if you may shift please.” With that Theon shifted into his large black wolf that had hues of Blue and purple mixed in.

Everyone seemed to move to one side of the circle and I tilted my head, Verena and I were both confused. The elder’s spoke out to the crowd. “Now Alpha king Theon, we will give Jade a 30 minute start to run as fast as she can before you track her down and claim her as your mate!” The crowd erupted and I could feel myself bless. Verena snickered in my head ‘What if we want to be caught.’ I rolled my eyes at how she said that. It didn’t surprise me in the least.

I got in the ready position, the elders smiled at me “Alright everyone let’s see how long it’ll take our Alpha to catch his mate! Go!” With that I took off for the tree line. My feet pounding against the ground below me. This was going to be a fun game for both Theon and I. I wanted to keep the chase up for awhile.

Feeling the breeze through my fur as I ran it had to have been about 30 minutes now. Just as I thought that, I could hear a loud thunderous howl that shook me and the woods to the core. Theon was letting me know that he was coming for me. I took off deeper into the woods.

Coming up to a creek I decided to roll around in it. I wanted to wash away my scent so it would be harder for him to find me. I trotted through the water for a bit and sniffed the air. I need to find a place to lay low for bit. As I continued making my way through, I sniffed the air again before I knew it the smell of cedar and pine hit my nose. I quickly got out of the water and started running.

Running through the forest past trees as I jumped over fallen limbs. All of this running felt familiar. I smiled realizing that the moon goddess does things in mysterious ways. Lost in my thought I was pulled from it by the snapping of twig. I turned my head towards the area it came from. Slowly stepping from the brush was Theon. His golden eyes shined through. I felt my breath caught in my throat as his eyes bore into me.

Before I knew Theon lunged for me but I quickly moved out of the way turning towards him. I let out a low playful growl as my tail slowly wagged.

Theon quickly pounced on me again knocking me onto the ground. He stood over me as I laid out on my back. He stood over me with a large smirk across his muzzle. I softly rubbed my head against his before quickly flipping him onto his back. I shifted back into my human form as I fell on top of him laughing. His fur was soft like silk, before I knew it he shifted back into his human form and we laid there in the nude. Both laughing softly.

After a bit Theon sat up and looked down at me “Jade” I felt the heat raising to my cheeks as I looked up at him. “Theon” he eased himself to hover over me as I brought my face closer to his. Before I knew it his lips were pressed against mine. It felt like bliss, his hands slowly moved around my body as he moved his lips down to my neck. I let out a soft gasp as I felt his teeth scrap against my neck.

“T-Theon” my body shivered at the feeling as I felt his enlarged canine’s pierced my spot on my neck. My eyes widen as I let out a moan. I could hear Verena howling in my head as the heat spread across my body. Theon pulled away smiling down at me “What’s wrong little wolf?” I flashed my canines at him “and what are you going to do with those” his taunting smile made my blood boil a bit before I leaned forward and sunk my teeth right where is mark should go. I felt him tense and something pulse between my legs.

A soft moan escaped my lips as I let go and as if on cue, Theon had me underneath him. Pleasure devoured my body as I felt him move against me in slowly motions. Moans continued to escape my lips as I felt him slip into me. A low growl of pleasure came from deep within him that sounded absolutely feral. My cheeks heated up as Theon picked up speed. The forest slowly filled with my moans and screams of pleasure. We were devoured in pure ecstasy. In moments he had me filled over onto my stomach as he continued. He slowly licked my mark. Theon tensed as I let out a gasp and before I knew if he released his seed inside me, pumping it deep in me. “THEON!” I screamed his name in pleasure.

We laid there curled up for awhile, my head laid on his chest listening to his heart beat. His strong hand softly rubbed my back as he kissed my forehead. “I guess we should start heading back little wolf” he looked down at me as he spoke. Sighing softly I looked up at him. “Yea, that’s true my love. We got a pack to run together.” He smiled up at me so big. In a swift moment he had me up in his arms and up on his feet. “My beautiful queen, my amazing Luna. I know you are going to be loved by the pack.” He kissed me deeply as he started walking.

It took us awhile to make our way back to where the Luna ceremony was. Lila came running up to us with our clothes in hand. “Here you go my alpha and luna.” I smiled from Theon’s arms as I gently took the clothes from her “Thank you Lila.” Theon carried me to the edge of the woods so we could change back into our clothes.

Once we got changed we continued the night dancing and talking amongst the pack. I felt so at home here. They asked me a few questions about what I did at my old pack. I told stories of the sparing fights I was in and how I was going to be the next captain until I met Theon. The party carried on well into the night and everyone seemed happy and thrilled to be here.

The party ended on a beautiful note, Theon and I returned to our room. He kissed me softly and handed me one of his shirts to wear. I changed into his shirt as it came below my knees, I smelled the shirt and purred in delight as I felt a pair of eyes on me. Turning around I came face to face with a smiling Theon who was in just a pair of gym shorts. His ripped tanned skin glistened under the little bit of moonlight that slipped through.

He picked me up and walked over to the bed laying down and pulling the covers over the both us. “You have a big day tomorrow little wolf, but I know you’ll do great.” I snuggled into him as I was almost on top of him. His strong arms engulfed my body. His arms made me feel like I was a tiny doll being held by child who was afraid to let go. We both drifted off into a peaceful sleep ready for our future together, but I knew that tomorrow I had to start finding Lydia Sage and Ryder. This was going to be difficult but the moon goddess entrusted me with the task. If I don’t do this my future with Theon will be cut short and so will the rest of the founding families’.
