Meanwhile, the three girls are on their way back to Everfloria city. The story will shift about a certain girl. The girl was named Yuri BloodCrom.
Wandering around just by herself in the underground city called Black city. Most famous for its nickname “The city where the light will never reach.” Yuri walked normally with her body covered with a dull-colored robe and hood that covers her head.
Looking around the City. Yuri saw the hopeless situation of the people living here. Most of the people are hungry. Kids are thin like corpses and already taste the cruelty of the world at such young age. From the alley, people are looking toward her with bloodlust in their eyes.
In this city law is non-existing. Famous criminals on death row even make their way and hide in this city. Danger lurk everywhere and safety is non-existence. That is the kind of place the Black city was.
“How nostalgic…”
Yuri muttered and continue to walk. She then arrived at the bar underground. She seat down at the table in front of the bartender.
“Is there any information about the shadows?”
Yuri asked the bartender. The man who is in his middle age making alcoholic drinks. Turned his glance on Yuri who looking with her normal cold looking expression.
“Such beauty is wasted if you don’t smile so often. Shadows already attacked. The breakthrough in the northern part of the continent. That’s all that I know… Is there anything you like? Because of you, my life was saved back then. Can I return the favor by giving you a free drink?”
Yuri with her red scarlet eyes stared into the bartender's eyes for a moment. She then nodded.
“Then give me a screwdriver.”
The bartender then prepared Yuri's request. While waiting, a lovely-looking woman with dog ears sits down beside Yuri.
“Sorry I overheard the conversation your having. Well, my ears are quite sharp. I heard you're looking for information about the shadows. Well, I happened to know something about it.”
Yuri ignored the lady and just wait to behave.
“You’re so cold…”
“Then, would you tell me?”
“Umm… Maybe… I mean, I lost my money in gambling. I’m broke and I wanted to drink…”
Before the girl with dog ears finished talking. Yuri pulled out a bag full of mels from her pocket. With the huge amount presented to the dog lady. Its tail started to wriggle and her face was delighted.
“Master give me some cosmopolitan.”
“I always thought dogs shouldn’t drink alcohol. I made one of my friend dogs drink alcohol before. Its mouth started to release bubbles and die.”
“We might have some similarities with dogs but that doesn’t work that way. If you're looking down on our race, I will warn you immediately… I can kill you.”
The dog lady just throws sharp eyes toward Yuri. Yuri’s drink arrived and she just drinks it ignoring the dog lady’s feelings. The dog lady turned her face away from Yuri.
“About the shadows. It attacked a nameless village. It's a small village with farmers and tribes. People there were living in peace and harmony. Little by little children were abducted. The children a*******n was then spread throughout the continent.”
“a*******n? I heard that many abductions were happening. I always wonder why kids are being sold off easily.”
“The shadows already made their stronghold in the northern regions. The kingdom is very aware of it. The State knights are all busy because of these incidents.”
“What's the connection between the shadows and the kids?”
“The shadows prepared to eat children. Threatening the people in the northern region. They started buying other children to protect their own children in the danger. The king in the norther was also falling victim to this. To protect the princess, he is buying children and offering them to the shadows. For some reason, they can’t do anything to refuse. mY Sister and brother were eaten by those monsters. I won’t forgive them.”
The dog lady clenched her fist and tremble in anger.
Yuri looking toward the dog lady face can’t sympathize. Empathy is something Yuri struggle to feel ever since she is born. That’s why she does horrible things just to feel something. To feel some kind of emotion.
“Then how powerful are they?”
“They have the ability to negate magic… Truly terrifying to our word they circulate magic.”
“Thank you for the information. I’ll be leaving the bag of gold.”
Yuri leaves the bar and decided to head toward the nameless town located in the northern far region of the continent.
The bartender looks toward the glass he uses for Yuri.
“That girl was truly a monster, not even a top-class poison can kill her.”
“Well, now I can leave a delightful life tonight.”
The dog lady takes her hand on the bag of gold then notices the weird beeping noise it makes.
The bag was sprayed with odorless perfume making it impossible for the dog lady to scent. The supposed bag of mels exploded and destroyed the whole bar in instant. Killing the dog lady, the bartender, and the people drinking inside.
Yuri just walked without thinking about it and get her phone from her pocket. Opening the map she set navigation toward the north. Her phone receives a call.
“Hello, the shadows already made their move. Like we suspected the king of the northern land has nothing to do with the kidnappings.”
“The king is offering a generous amount of money. That proves how much he truly loves the princess. Apparently, the king was seen as a dark ruler and no one believes him anymore in the central city.”
“I understand, that’s why he's asking us to do this job of saving his falling kingdom.”
“That’s not how exactly the request was… The request was simple. The king wanted his daughter to live a normal fulling life. The emotional shackles from him sacrificing other kids are already pulling him down. His on his limits.”
Understanding the mission Yuri agreed to the mission given to her. In the northern far region. She has to take down monsters called shadows.
Passing through the dark alley group of thugs blocked her way.
“Hey! Hey! Such a pretty lady roaming around In a dark alley. Mind having fun with us.”
Yuri stopped walking and just silently stand.
“Ignoring me? You’re making me excited. If I were you I will behave myself and come with me. With hundreds of us. You will never gonna able to struggle.”
Yuri put her hand to the man's chest. She raised her face. Her pretty face was unveiled and the man in question was stunned by her beauty.
Suddenly he felt a hot sensation through his chest. His mouth release blood. Turning his eyes he noticed that his heart was already grabbed.
Yuri pulled out the beating heart of the man. For the last moment, he stretched his hand and attempting to reach his own heart. But his body falls facing the ground lifeless.
The group of thugs was felt an incredible amount of fright at what they saw. Yuri’s red eye’s shown brightly. The thugs then decided to Kill Yuri. With different weapons in their hand, they attack Yuri.
“t*****e box.”
A red box appeared in thin air. It has eyes and a mouth. Blood dripping inside of it.
Yuri puts his hand inside and grabbed a weapon.
She grabbed a long sword inside of it.
“How a weapon that long was able to fit inside that box?”
“It’s not time to be impressed!”
“Let's kill her and avenge boss!”
Yuri made her move and slashed the group of thugs with the long sword. INcredible speed and mobility. None of the thugs was able to catch her. But Yuri was able to cut and slice them one by one.
The battle didn’t last more than ten minutes. Yuri remained standing and the last survivor was trembling in fear. Attempting to run. Yuri cut his legs.
“Aaaaaaaarggggg!” With a scream of pain. Yuri cut down its tongue.
She squatted and look toward his face. Putting her palm and tightly grabbed his face slowly. His face turned violet and his veins turned red. After few seconds his head exploded from Yuri's hand.
“I got carried away killing these people.”
“You sure are scary… Now, where are we going?”
The girl talking toward Yuri was Lei Mei whose currently in her child form behind her was her personal maid Yu Shen.
“This is a personal mission given by the master. Stay away from me.”
“Are you still upset that I hurt your sister? I’m sorry that I happened to lose my temper. More importantly, the master gave you a mission to kill Shadows. I wanted to come with you. I will make Yu Shen made a letter for master later.”
Yuri thinks about it and then agreed. It’s not because she wanted to be with Lei Mei. It's because Lei mei is a great asset for her. Lei Mei has money that Yuri didn’t have. She gave her personal vehicle that can bring her to the northern region.
With that Lei Mei joined Yuri on her journey to the northern region.
