Chapter 53: Something to look forward

As expected the monsters were distracted by the uproar created by the magic cast by Lei Mie in the far distance.

Lei Mei cast another magic with the same name and continuously bombarded the palace area. With the help of that magic staff, Her magic was multiplied making her flame magic more powerful.

“My Lady a huge troupe my shadow monster will be in our way within any seconds.”

“I’ll leave them to you, Yu Shen.”

Hearing that Yu Shen grabbed her sword. By putting magical energy on the sword the sword becomes longer and bigger than its original form.

“Forging Sword!”

Yu Shen made one step from the flaying Mantine and let herself fall.

Falling to the ground she used her sword and started slaying down shadow monsters with her own raw strength.

“Magic supposed to be negated. How  a girl like her has such tremendous strength.”

After taking down one giant elephant monster. A small monster behind that was running behind it stopped and shiver in fear, They felt frightened just with Yu Shen’s strong presence.

“She must be one of those rare humans capable of superhuman feats. We must not let us down.”

Using the tip of her sword hse made a line in the ground and shouted.

“On this line, no one was allowed get through… Anyone who dares should battle me first!”

“Your so full of yourself despite being a mare human. This kingdom is our kingdom now. Humans have no right to interfere. This is the first step to a new era. An era of shadow monsters.”

“That’s not gonna happened… The era of monsters in the human world? Don’t flatter yourself for successfully invading a small kingdom like this… Humans are capable of anything. Compare to everything in this world. Human is always at the top of the hierarchy.”

Yu Shen made sword stance. Focusing all her dense amount of energy on her body and sword she remains focus and calm.

The clouds drifted, revealing the huge moon behind Yu Shen.

“The gravity is intensified…”

“No, it's just her body. The energy on her body is overflowing it's unreal. For a human… For weak humans… This is impossible.”

The monster became nervous in presence of a human being. They started to have cold sweats and trembling. With their fear eating their hearts. They fall and just accepted their death.

“This is the true power of a human being… How frightening…”

Yu Shen swings her sword the sword glow in a blinding golden color. With an astonished expression on their face. The shadow monsters didn’t do anything and watch themselves as the golden life devoured every one.

The golden light disappeared.

“Golden flash!”

On the underground passage created with Kaho’s ability. Kuma, Yuri, and the ability wielder run as fast as they can. Hey arrived at the end of the passage and saw themselves in the center of a nature garden. The outside of the castle was full of snow, but in this garden the leaves are green and the soil is like the grasslands.

Kuma turns his head above and saw a high ceiling that is about 40 meters high from the ground.

“I wonder how their ability to preserve this place green? I guess, their using some kind of magic related to plant magic…Kuma…”

“I’ll be going then.”

Yuri said before she left Kaho and Kuma in the garden.

Within the next phase of the plan. YUri wants Kuma and Kaho to make another distraction to pull the attention of the people inside the castle.

Using that strategy… Yuri’s blending to the knight when disguising as one will become easier. Yuri takes down a knight and wears its armor. She walked calmly in the hallway leading to the princess room.

“Hurry up! Intruders breakthrough in the castle!”

Knights immediately responded to Kuma and Kaho in the nature garden. Yuri uses the chaos and uses this as a golden opportunity to sneak in.

While running in the hallway. A soldier notices her and puts their hands on her shoulder.

“Where are you going?! The intruders are in the nature garden! You're going in a different direction.”

Yuri turned her face to the knight and replied.

“I’m very but I forget to get my sword. It was midnight and I’m still asleep. It's very idiotic of mine.”

“This is the problem with girls these days. Make use to equip yourself with fine weapons. A giant bear monster is making destruction.”

“Roger sir!”

The knight then leaves Yuri alone. YUri turned her back then proceed with her initial goal of seeing the princess.

The princess room was on the third floor in the fourth room on the right. Running in the hallway. She immediately saw the room.

At first, Yuri tries to knocks on the door. With three knocks no one is still answering inside. The door was a lock.

Yuri gripped the door numb tightly and breaks it with her strength. She slowly opened the door.

The light was opened and there the princess is sitting with a doll in her hand. She is still little and seems to be the same age as Yumi (Yuri’s little sister).

“Princess is dangerous to stay here a monster and intruder appeared in the nature garden.”

Still pretending in her role as a knight. Yuri's act was rather convincing. Her expression was also changed.

“I already decided… I’m going to die in this place. If hat intruder comes here. I’ll let them kill me.”

The princess with sad-looking eyes turned her glance on Yuri. She looks depressed. Huge dark eye bag below her eye. Her right wrist was scar with multiple cuts of the blade.

“It’s rough isn’t it…”

Yuri goes back in her normal melancholic expression and looks toward the princess's eyes.

“... Princess Shia Blanche… The last wish of your father you’ll be granted a new name and new life in the Rumia Kingdom.”

“Are you the intruder?”

Yuri silently stares at Shia’s eyes.

“On my request can you kill me. I wanted to meet my family. I wanted to see my family. When you kill me. I’ll be seeing them in the afterlife right? Give me my salvation.”

“I can’t kill you… But I can help you.”

From Yuri’s t*****e box ability she pulled a dagger. She then walked and put it in the princess's hands.

“... KIll yourself. The cuts you made on your wrist were too shallow. If you want to escape in this world then kill yourself. No one is really waiting for you.”

The princess was shaking and she fell on her knees. She cries and lost grip on the dagger. The dagger fell and the princess saw her reflection on it. She can see how weak she truly was.

“Your action just proves that you wanted to live. Deep inside your body, you wanted to live. I can tell it. IN Rumia kingdom. You’ll be adopted by a kindly old couple who are not blessed to have a child. There you can start a new life and forget this hell.”

The princess saw hope through Yuri’s words. Yuri held her hands and they exit the room. She runs with the princess in the hallway.

Just like Yuri expected most of the royalty was already killed. Most likely the king and the princess were left alive. Yuri before eth they attack made a surprise attack already informed the Rumia kingdom about the threat shadows might lead to humanity.

At that same night, multiple knights riding their dragons from the Rumia kingdom joined the raid. With their swords, they fight the shadow monsters.

Yuri needs to say inform them anonymously because they are criminals themselves. From the castle, she used a teleportation crystal with the princess with her. She was then teleported to the base she created in the mountain a day ago. The other Night Alliance member did the same and retreated.

State knight Karyll and State knight Kite Augustine's teammate arrived. The state knight was able to defeat the shadow monsters located in the mainland of the northland kingdom, but the shadows living in Shadow palace insisted and the fight between shadow monster and knight continues.

Yuri and the rest go back to Virbark city. The princess meets the master of Night Alliance for a talk. Yuri didn’t have any knowledge of their conversation after that.

But the princess started admiring Yuri so much.

“Yuri is into Yuri!”

(Yuri is a genre in which two girls like each other.)

Lei Mei teased Yuri and grope her chest again.

Yuri with an annoying cold face punch Lei Mei knocking her down to the ground.

With a bit exhausted posture, Yuri fell on the sofa and relaxed. She then takes a magazine featuring a City in another kingdom that offers such entertainment for her eyes.

“An Ice cream festival is happening in Castellina city… I earn a lot of money with this mission. I guess I’m going there.”

Yuri flips each page with wonder in her eyes. While she is doing that everyone is looking at her with a  grin on their face.

Even a cold-hearted killer and mess-up person Like Yuri. Has something to look forward to in the future.

Everyone doesn't really understand her. But Yuri’s mindset was very simple.

I wanted to finish the work as much as possible and have some fun.

Yuri made a gleaming smile.
